I did a lot of stuff very similar with mine. Yea the front shackles do hit. I personally didn't worry about mine. I ran all 3 leafs on mine. I love how scale these look. I didn't want to change it to much. To me each truck I build is fun to have them different to really enjoy how they handle. Some of them are fun to go crazy with and others I just love the pure scale look and ride of them. Great to see your overview on it. Thumbs up bro!
***** I still haven't been able to get mine muddy. I've had it really dusty. lol.. It's one of mine that doesn't get a lot of run time, but I keep doing some neat stuff to it. I can't wait to show off this summer the smoke unit in it with the tail pipe. Looks so awesome! Even sounds like it has an engine in it ready to through a rod. lol.. It's to fun!
I just finished my 1st RC4WD kit, the Landcruiser. TF2 is absolutely next, I'm very impressed with the quality of these kit. Sharpie also makes paint pen, there are different width tips. I got mine at Jo-Ann fabrics (a lot of neat hobby stuff too). Great looking truck, like the color a lot!
Great video once again Jason. I've always wanted a TF2 kit. You did a great job with all the details and it looks great! I really enjoy watching your overview and it was very informative. It's unfortunate about the shackles but those upgrades look nice.
***** Thanks for the advice. The truggy option is definitely cool for sure. I can tell you really like the rig, and most others seem like they do as well...so I think I'll pull the trigger sometime soon. Thanks again Man!
I've been watching your videos and I really appreciate all the information. I'm new on the rc world. I wonder if you can make a video on batteries on what kind of battery should we use on the tf2 I've been checking RUclips and don't see any. Thanks
rc cave its really shines i would say better than painting it and if you scratch it its hard 2 see they really did a great job with the body my bed is darker but if you dont paint it novus sells a three step kit i bought micro mark sells it great stuff cleans my clear windows no fear with this stuff
Super well done my friend!! Bravo!! And that was a seriously professional video.. Impressed!!As far as more flex and keeping the scale look... You saw mine, +chrisherb echoed my thoughts and he HAD been running the links.
You should check out my channel, I just made a video on my tf2 I just have the Mohave 1 body and not the 2 like you have. The only difference is the little tie downs on the side of the bed. Also I have front and rear link kits from rc4wd and they worked great but I just put the leaf springs back on the rear. Nothing beats the flexibility of the links but the leafs are very scale.
Sorry that I'm a little slow responding, I haven't been as active on RUclips as in the past. Just so you know I actually had respond to all of the older comments you see below but when I switched my channel to another Google account all of my comments were erased! Are you working on a TF2 build?
those lights came out perfect for using markers. i use the tamiya paints but never even thought of using markers before i bought them.

Didn't know you lived in Ecuador, do you have access to Amazon for shopping supplies?
Great work Jason! That is a nice looking rig! Love the color, not too many in yellow!👍
I am currently thinking of this truck being my next scale build. I want a hard body build.
Very nice build,
As for the front end binding I just cut the front and use Shooters on mine.
Did you ever loosen the shackle bolts so it would rebound?

Good job on the body, I love taking mine out, it SO different to drive than the SCX10 I love it, and you will to.
Good stuff Jason! I may have to follow in your footsteps soon...really liking the TF2.

In real life those moving shackles go on the other end of the springs, the trailing end.
Good point, good thing I'm not working on a real truck! Thanks for pointing it out!

The tailgates are different as well..
+Mid Life R/C thanks for letting me know! I've only been able to look at it in close detail with the pictures on the rc4wd website.
Ethan Boening it took me a while and I didn't see it till it was pointed out to me by Chris herb
Ethan Boening did you get to see my lil video for Jason on stock leaf vs shooters n boxes?
+Mid Life R/C yes just saw it!
