Bought a used Honda S600 Coupe in 1973 over in Okinawa when I was in the Navy. Drove it around the Island for two years and loved every moment of it. Keeping the four carborators in tune was a constant job, though. I am not sure how Jay fit into that seat as it was a tight fit for me when I was 19 and skinny.
It looks like Dennis has some great accomplishments under his belt. In college he majored in chemistry and physics and did undergraduate research in quantum physics. He earned a Ph.Dd. in chemistry, and worked as a product development scientist at Proctor&Gamble. He serves on the board of directors for SEMA, and he's got musical talent as well! I don't think he needs to apologize to anyone for his presentation style on My Classic Car ~ good work, Dennis!
Why doesn't Jay go for election, I wonder. Every US citizen should watch and learn how to deal with and approach the world out there like he does. The Porsche comparison should be an eyeopener to many and make them understand the essence of genious, soul fueled engineering. A Seiko 5 is so much more advanced in any term than any Swiss made watch, but if its not expensive, narrow minded majority will never be able to understand that.
Finding a good Honda S600 is difficult since the metal was of very poor quality. If you want to buy one, first use the center punch trick, with a carpentry punch with a wooden handle: If you can push the punch thru the sheet metal under the car, with just the palm of your hand, pass on it, unless you want to fabricate and replace half the sheet metal... [yes, this includes so called "rust free cars" because with Japanese cars of that vintage there is no such thing...]
