4:04 the only thing i would say is the only reason why the lighting on the right looks like it's filling up cancel higher is because of the higher profile that the Bulb Has versus the bulb on the left that sits at a lower profile which you can see from the bottom of the lamp structure of the Shaded section being wider as well on the right versus the left
You really can't tell anything from this video because (1) you have a freaking window during the day right next to the bulb (2) Your iPhone is automatically adjusting its sensitivity and exposure to make all incoming light look the same.
1:54 I use to do that too lol. But I don't want shady companies (could be bestbuy, amazon, walmart, etc etc) to put it back on the rack as "new" when it isn't. So I didn't want to waste my time helping a shady company lol. So in a way, I'm helping people not get scammed LOL
5:35 Is the one on the left operating at a slower Hz than the smooth looking one on the right? (Light Flicker) Could be of some value for really picky people who get migraines or want a really smooth n' sexy non-flickering light on camera :D
Your video saved me £250, i was ready to upgrade my current first generation 800 lumen hue bulbs to these new 1600 lumen 100w bulbs but after seeing this video I will pass on the upgrade
The problem is that the video doesn't show you at all the brightness difference. The camera auto adjusts to make everything look the same. The 100w is MUCH brighter in reality.
I mean id still upgrade cause the one you have is a still a lot dimmer since he tested the 1100 lumen vs the new 1600 lumen. on paper the new 100w equivalent is 2x brighter than what you have currently

I purchased the A21 1600 lumen 100 watt bulb and it was off the reservation expensive but I don't mind paying for what I want. I already had a Hue bridge that I had been using for so long that there was only one light left glowing so I purchased the 2nd gen bridge also. Connecting the bulb was a total nightmare. First I could not scan the QR code on the box and it just went downhill from there. It took almost an entire Saturday afternoon to do nothing. The problem was that it would not connect to Alexa and when I finally got it connected the app froze a short time later and was inoperable for the rest of the weekend. I called Hue support Monday morning about the app and if you ever have the need to call them good luck. Support is just there to answer the phone. Miraculously a short time later the app started working again so all is well again.
I don't believe they're weather proof unfortunately. Check out hue outdoor products for other outdoor options. I have hue outdoor lily and they're amazing
"Hey our "colour changing bulb" is 1600 lumens!!" Turns on blue and its like 200 lumens.. 🙄🙄🙄 but nobody points that out.. nobody... sometimes its like the world is just dumb
I completely get that, totally true. it’s almost like they should come up with some kind of a lighting standard that states that the average lumen across all Kelvin temperature ranges is an average of X. ☺️

@@hydroaegis6658 how do you think they compare to the 1100 lumen (75w)?
I just bought these ones and I’m considering returning

Excellent bulbs I have the colored version and a white ambience version of the 100 W Phillips hue lights
❤️❤️❤️yeah, I definitely love them and I wish I had more of them. Me too.
Can you get them a really cool white color? Like daylight / 5000k temperature?
How can I distinguish between the original and the counterfeit Philips Hue lights?
