  • Alberto "Tito" Gambarini was born in Argentina in 1922. While in medical school in Argentina with Che Guevara, he was arrested twice by President Perón for protesting the treatment of Jews. Eva Perón freed Tito both times before her death from ovarian cancer.
To prevent a third arrest, Tito was sent abroad to study, where he became a heart surgeon. He met his wife Elsa, the mother of his children, while working at a hospital in Philadelphia. "When a lady from Argentina says to you are crazy and smiles, that's it." Tragically, Elsa later died of ovarian cancer. Tito has lived for over 25 years with three different types of cancer including prostate cancer. In Tito's words, "Advertity comes, no matter who you are."
This is Tito's story in his own words, as told to Caitlin Arnould whose father provides chiropractic treatments and strength-training assistance to 98-year-old Tito in Easthampton, Massachusetts at Strength For Life.
Tito remains an inspiration to us all. With special thanks to Crazy Tito, Immer, and Josef and Vicki Arnould, for assistance with this film.

"When you get cancer your personality changes completely and you have to accept that and start to love yourself, no matter what happened in your life."

A fascinating and courageous man who has lived through some of the worst moments in Argentina. Thanks for making this film.

He is the kindest, sweetest and funniest man who lived through some incredible things. It was such an honor for him to share his story with me, so that I could share it with others. Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed it.
