      Thanks for sharing! Its excellent and its very cheap, I think these (I have like 3 of them) were cheapest qood quality LPSes I got :)

    I got one on ebay, but the version with more expensive transformer. I regularly check it with my oscilloscope, and I have to say I was stunned to see it was as good as my $900 audiophile pro-ject power supply.

      Did you get ripple results for your unit?

    I have a very similar one with the same BingZi toroidal. It has the same voltage display on the front. Out of the box, I'm measuring 20mV peak to peak noise on my scope - not very good. So, I opened it up and found the front display circuit is connected directly to the DC rail - no decoupling! I installed a switch to turn off the display, when I do, the noise drops to almost nothing.

      Display there is useless anyway... Good tip!

      I have a zero zone 1706a LPS from Ali, that also has an led on the front. How would you recommend checking to see if it is properly wired?

    thanks for reviewing. I'm also considering to use one LPS for 12v electronics like settop box and wifi extender. use a Topping LPS for my router already.

      It works wonders with such small devices as they are usually not very good on their own with stabilizing power input. So the cheaper the device, the bigger the difference the LPS creates.

    Thanks for this video. I'm considering buying a model like this or similar on Aliexpress. Two actually, one 12v to power a processor for my sound system and another 5v for the DAC/headphone amp. There are also options with supercapacitors that look very interesting. I'll do some more research before deciding, but both seem to deliver good results.

    Hi. Great. Can you use it for two things with equal V simultaniously?

    • @k4syx
      @k4syx  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, exactly. Two outputs with a summary total output power of 25W (in this case)

    😃Great review and measurement to know it is linear within 10Mv. You can actually use the pot and adjust it from 5 up to 24VDC max. My first usage was the Wiim Pro Plus and adjusted the 12 VDC version, back to 5.1VDC, so very versatile unit. The sound of the analog output of the WIiim Pro Plus did improve a lot, which amazed me big time... Recently upgraded to Wiim Ultra and Fio K10 R2R, The FIO comes with a large switching 12VDC, 2A, 24W power supply (might be good qualtity version) but now want to test it with the BRZHiFi supply...adjusted back to 12.1VDC but it will not have much left with 25W....

    10mV ripple is nothing to brag about. There are other linear power supplies, example LHY Audio which have 10uV (microvolts), or the IFI iPower which are much better.

    • @k4syx
      @k4syx  14 дней назад

      And the prices, what are the prices for these?
      Can you have them for similar money?
      LHY is at least twice the price as far as I remember (or more), IFI is even more expensive if I recall correctly.

    used the Brzhifi ps on the Fio K10 R2R and yes the result is good! more black background, bass is more punchy and exteds a bit lower, nice analog highs, better then with original swithing power supply...mids already open up, but again seem a litle more forward in the presentation
    Higly recommended combi for audiophile vibes
    for reasonable price andr mid end, high end sound.
    Below does a lot of good for the money:
    -Wim ultra
    usb to
    -Fio K10 R2R (Brzhifi 12.1 vdc linear power supply)
    Nordost odin RCA silver plated clone
    -Cayin mt-35 mk2 plus
    valhalla 1 clone speaker
    -Dali zensor 3
    Also have Nordost RCA full copper gold, direct from Wiim ultra to Cayin tube amp, that gives it a more laid back sound signature with little more detail in highs.

    Hi. Very good video. Excellent information. Have just purchased one but the talema one. Do you need a special power cable like your one or is a normal one ok?

    • @k4syx
      @k4syx  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! Thank you :)
      Regular one is fine, I just happen to have a lot of better power cables around the house.

      @@k4syx thank your sir. One other question if you don’t mind. When connecting to a DAC and streamer is it ok to leave the psu switched on all the time or do I need to switch it off when not in use?

    • @k4syx

      I tend to power off mine simply because of electricity bills ;)

    Was curious about these and a few others on Ali. Was about to pull the trigger to purchase one of the LHY 50VA lps', but am not yet convinced that they are the actual power supplies made by Jay's audio? They are far cheaper than the ones sold by Beatechnik. These BRZhifi lps' seem solid now that you put this video together 🙏

    • @k4syx
      @k4syx  7 месяцев назад +2

      They are really good for the price but you have to remember that they are only 25W. A few days ago I was recording review for Sengterbelle one and after that I've realized it's very similar internally to LHY ones. Maybe I will investigate more. Anyway wait for that review and compare internals from my movie with photos from shops

    Would you rather this or the a32 you did a review on ?

    • @k4syx
      @k4syx  Месяц назад +1

      A32 is more expensive because its more powerful, this one is cheaper (but with lower max output power). Get one that will supply enough wattage for your needs :)

    How much difference would such ps benefit a dac. Like a Soekris 1221.

    • @k4syx
      @k4syx  4 месяца назад

      Don't know about Soekris, but I'm using one of this with my Semibreve AK4499EX DAC and it's an instant level up.
      I'm using them wherever I can. DACs, headphone amps, 10mhz clock, my Singxer SU-6, PCs that are my music sources etc.
