That's actually my FAVORITE thing about landscaping/lawn care, my brother! There's something so therapeutic about mowing grass and also the smell of freshly cut grass! Nothing better in my opinion ❤😌
Awesome video and very professional I notice the safety vest, the cone behind the trailer and a very organized trailer. Also who ever did your logo did an amazing job....It shows you love your work. God Bless and mean your business continue to grow.
Thanks for mentioning the grass blown in the street, esp. wet grass for motorcycle safety . I really enjoy trimming, cutter, blowing my yard. Lots of satisfaction when done and looks great !.
Fellow Vet and love your channel. Refreshing to see someone take such pride in their work and equipment. The attention to each and every detail will keep customers extremely happy then word of mouth will get you more business than you can handle!
I'm wit you on the mowing, it can be very relaxing especially when transfiguring these properties.... Even watching these lawn care vidz can be very therapeutic in its own way.....
I love your work Johnny. The integrity in which you operate is golden. Don’t blow grass in the street, keep the edger flowing away from the house, clean lines. Good stuff right here.
It’s refreshing to hear you address not blowing the clippings on the street that it could cause an accident. I am a motorcycle rider and when I tell people in my neighborhood they are putting people at risk they think I am saying it because I ride.
I just enjoying mowing as well, but there is one thing I'm not doing... listening to something productive. I just cover my ears and I'm by myself with my thoughts, crazy thoughts sometimes. While I'm watching your video I just decided for 2021 I'll start listening to audiobooks or self-improving stuff. Good video Thank you very much.
You are very good, concientious on detail and a pleasure to watch. Yes mowing is therapeutic. You are very good and informative.Thankyou for the videos.
Thanks for another great video. To tell the truth the reason I tune in is not to watch grass being cut. I tune in to listen to you. I learn from you every time I tune in. I love your outlook on your work and on life. For instance, I always wondered by you blow the debris into the yard. But you answered it in two parts. You have a mulching mower. Oh, that’s right, I said to myself. Then you deliver the philosophical knockout blow with your observations on not looking unprofessional. And your observations on the zen of mowing were so spot on. I always loved mowing the lawn. In the spring and summer there is nothing better than the smell of freshly cut grass. One of God’s perfumes. And your take on leaving the property beautiful is priceless, as well as the neighbors watching what sort of job you do. Anyone can dedicate a channel to lawn care, but without your sharp commentary it would get old real fast. And that’s why I tune in. You have a lot of wisdom to share.
Hi Johnny, nice work as always, and your reasoning is sound and professional. As for music to listen to, being just a homeowner, I like books to listen to. From the works of antiquity to modern, I learn and sometimes just escape while keeping an eye on what I am doing.
I enjoy mowing as well, my wife will say "why you cutting grass? It looks fine, but I see the uneven of grass level. Thanks Johnny. Thanks for the tips.
Informative as always, Johnny and beautiful crisp results from your work. Pride in those results is great. Enjoyment for us as well. Take care and stay safe, Johnny 😀👍
Nicely done . Question when you mow a really nasty weed infested yard do you wash your mower underneath and blow it off before you mow a really nice yard. We always did so we wouldn’t spread weed into there yards?
You sound like me , lol thats in a good way. I do what you do and and I make every yard I mow look like a million dollar home. This time of the year I am busier than all get out . Nice video of your work , I do a lot of walk behind lawns and a few riding lawns and I never get tired of it .
Like the way you do it I been 25 years in this business ,I like the way you run your days GET R DONE ,ILL KEEP WATCHING LOVE TO BE ON YOUR CREW ,IAM THE FASTEST MAN ON GRASS ,BE FAST NOT HALF ASS 😁
like watching your videos im 70 years of age and retired i just started getting three properties across the street and one next door and another one about 8 miles from me ill try to get a few more next spring i have a honda self propell hrn 170 and a stihl weed eater f 50 c
Yard looks great my friend. I love mowing my yard as well. Probably if I wasn't a truck driver I would have made lawn care my career. I love cutting grass @ home on my zero turn. Great job my friend.
Hello very therapeutic mowing lawns most of my customers have small lawns with narrow access gates I use a Masport roller rotary 22inch cut or a 20 inch Victa both collectors , churchs are usually munched with a 33 inch walk behind, still mowing after 33 years in buisness
Its crazy how different types of grass and height of cuts completely changes how you do things. We have St Augustine grass here in Florida. I cut mine at 4-4.5 inches. I always edge with a stick edger and never use the string trimmer to trim the grass horizontally closer to the concrete around the edges. I want a super thick vertical wall on those edges. Its so high and straight that my neighbors actually call it 'the wall'. I know no one particular way is right. Its all about the grass type and the styles that people like where you are. Just interesting to me.
I started back in 1992 with tidewater where we was even doing the highway but I had a Walkman With me and I always brought 10 cassette tapes to work to hear my music and spent a ton of money on batteries back then lol
Kool video. Sometimes I edge first. Sometimes I edge after I cut depending on how soft the yard. May press that edging. So I do edge last and blow the small debris back into yard. Real recognize real
Hi . In this video at about 6:50 ,you qouted"never , ever leave your debris in the road, unprofessional and 🛵 safety. " I pleased to hear it from a professional. My neighbor has a habit of leaving the debris in the middle of the road. What should one do if the neighbors are leaving debris in road? Thanks you get an A + for your , clarity of your message, concerned for other motorist and end results.
I agree with what you said about enjoying cutting grass i feel the same way makings something that was ugly look beautiful. I use a rz mask when I cut to keep from breathing in dust
What i hate 6:23 is having leaf’s i have 1 big ass tree on my block i wanna get a Leaf vacuum or a Leaf Mulcher then realized imma have to get rid of the leaves so I just rake them let my borough take cere of them. Just Google Towns borough. If u don’t understand what I mean. Awesome video as usual ☺️
I glad to know I'm not the only one to get sad if my headset goes dead! (I have hey extra headset just for a backup. 😁) Work seems to be so slow to me when I don't have my tunes. I'm more of a older country and '90s Christian music kind of guy. Sometimes might throw in some LZ7.
I love to mow. Everyone has stopped mowing for the most part here. I am still mowing because I love it. I will be so sad when it begins to snow, but I can shovel then! 😂 Love your videos!
Great video as usual! Just stubbles on this one. Great job. I have all my machines.. Toro Grandstands, Hydro walk behinds and Turfmasters set up with mulch kits. I never pick up anything all season long up here on Long Island.
So Johnny What kind of music do you listen too...?? Yes just like you I really enjoy cutting grass , watching something that I did for my own pleasure turn into something W O W I did that...I'm the kind of guy that listens to all kinds of music :: jazz, classical, country, and the GROOVE on sirus radio...ol' school
I mainly listen too upchurch. Then jelly roll and yelawolf. I also mow. Have been for 7 years. I like watching landscaping videos because you get to see the different way people do things
Bro my wife thinks I`m nuts for watching your videos about cutting grass. LMBO But I love to cut, cut my own lawn 2x a week and don`t mind at all. Plus I have the best lawn in the development. Proud of that!!!!!!!!!!!
Good JOB! "never leave debris in the street"! ALSO it clogs drains, and thus could be a liability issue, IF the city decides to sue, much less individual property owners. Clogged drains, can be EXPENSIVE! FLOODING / WATER DAMAGE / PROPERTY DAMAGE
Damn love your videos I’m a new subscriber I thinking of a side hussle and I’m a female you’ve given great tips and I will keep learning stay blessed and stay posting
I own my own lawn service plus I worked for the city o live in i as the park Forman. I love my job. But the dr retired me at a early age due to my health. I sure miss maintaining parks, and tomorrow duties I had
Just happen to run across your channel and I gotta say I love it. Cutting grass to me is almost calming. 1 question for you is, do you ever use a walk behind mower with a 36 or 48 in cut ? In my years of landscaping and property management I found the walk behinds lay down really superior patterns. I understand time is money , as in your first video I watched ,you also mentioned the corner property you kinda gave that extra care, some really nice diagonals or a checker board would stand out like the lines at Wrigley Field. Very Impressive.
very good video, i notice a lot of people are using the xmark mowers, that is what i am thinking on upgrading to, buti do not do this full time, i only have a few yards i take care of .....
What's it summer there. 6os 70s is hot 🔥 in Maryland.. lol .. me to love the mow. Been cut grass sense I was old enough to. You not getting leafs there.. music i wish I like the soundtrack of kawasaki and Husqvarna. Grates hits..
Blow leaves onto lawn ,vacuum then edge. Leaves a sharper edge . Your technique you end up running over your "crisp' edge . Btw I listen to talk radio .
That's actually my FAVORITE thing about landscaping/lawn care, my brother! There's something so therapeutic about mowing grass and also the smell of freshly cut grass! Nothing better in my opinion ❤😌

Nice work Johny! Music from the 70's 80's for me. You can definitely get deep into your own thoughts while mowing, love it!

I agree with you about cutting grass. I took over doing it as my husband does a lousy job and I really enjoy doing it. It really is satisfying.
Thanks for another great video. To tell the truth the reason I tune in is not to watch grass being cut. I tune in to listen to you. I learn from you every time I tune in.
