Hmm, okay. Thanks for the thorough overview! I was considering restarting and putting myself somewhere else, and this seems to align exactly with what I need.
Great video. I built mine just south of starting area next to the alchemist/herbalist. But you have a really nice area. Gonna start over and build there. Looks like a really good spot. Thanks😊
I started a base across from the ore deposit just up the road from the blacksmith. Day one I ran all the way over to the wheat field and harvested my inventory full. The big disadvantage is not enough flat area for the farm 😞
On my first playthrough I had a similiar problem. Also started at area with slopes and it was just a pai. On top of that, villagers couldn't access working building so I just decided to start over😬
I chose my starter close to that spot. I went closer to the lake on the right though because I prioritized river reeds over the ores early but still between the 4 veins for mid game.
Also, if you’re NE of the bridge a little, you’re still in a low aggression area and out of range from the bandits crossing North across the bridge and west from there.
Ok cool! The river reeds are definately top priority, but either way, once you have second tier mining camp or forager their work range extends greatly so then you are within reach of all the initial resources. The only thing missing then is iron vein really
I saw your video and dropped my first settlement just me and the hunter guy and we're getting ganked constantly from bandit patrols, I might turn the difficulty down.
@@dieseluk2k there are a lot of patrols, but gets better after you have about 4+ villagers. You also build influence/renown quickly with those patrols and develop your villagers so it really is a good thing. Then if you are really tired of patrols, take out the nearest 2 bandit camps then patrols significantly drops around your base
Yeah it's quite hectic even when your town grows the raid parties also grow, but the developers are gracious with the respawning of you and your villagers🤣
I have my main big base here also, now almost T3. I'm finding it kind of hard to respond to things fast enough though. Because I am so far north and my army moves so slow. Don't want to rebuild this big base.....
@@SetUSMC I made a second big base to the south that can respond fast enough to all the southern towns. I housed only the strongest units there. Otherwise it is impossible to fight the brigands off. Here is a link to explain how I did my second base😊: ruclips.net/video/ObaXfWG3T8s/видео.html
@@rubik777 that's a good question🤣🤣 Don't know why it doesn't show, but I promise they are there. That was at very early access so maybe that was an error of some sort?
Yeah the wolves are a pain at the beginning... But I just took a detour around them initially to get to the spot. Just always keep your first recruit with you when you explore unknown territory. When you are 2 it is much easier to take them on😊👍
@@JoshWilson-kt4tg that is true. I would only slightly adjust it though. Looking at the map I would most likely move it a little north east closer to the body of water where the craftsman is to get easy access to river dock. They also allow you to change the location of your main town so that is pretty cool. I love that small bandit patrols that pass because they drop straps almost always which you need for so many things to research and you get the influence to recruit more villagers

It really is a great location, it has carried me up to the point of taking out Lord Ashbourne😄
You are right! That is the place I have picked too :)
💪😎

That is also a nice area if you want big open surface and it helps being close to herbalist at the beginning for the seeds. Glad the video helped😊👍
The Problem is Tech Tier 2.
the Villagehall is much big AND you Need a lot of more distance to neutral village. More then with tier 1 Buildings

That's true, those guys are easier to pick off especially once you have your bow
I builded next to bridge, and I have Straps all the time, best thing is Bandits are bringing Straps to me 😂
Lovely! That really does help😆 Straps = Gold in Bellwright

Its really tough at early days tho with bandit attacks just right after you wake up in the morning.

thanks for the video... just 2 days to late 😀
I'm glad it helps! Sorry that it's late😬

There will be plenty of other playthroughs 😊

constant attacks from being so close to the roads all around. But that could be a fun play through as well :)
Bandits are low ranking and usually do patrols only with max 3 units so it's not too bad... Nice way to build renown quick😉

I built closer to the river reeds and craftmans shop for easy straps
Nice! I probably also could have moved slightly closer to the river
WHWRE Can I put the Village SHRINE? It's not allowing to be Place ANYWHERE...
The village shrine you can place in liberated villages😊👍 It helps you to build trust with them
I've moved twice already and I wanna move again lol

You should warn us that there is a wolf in the area. It ate my ass first time I went there.

Awesome😎👏👏
Not the best spot on recent version. Bandits patrol this area and it's always a axe and shield guy and a bow guy.
