I purchased during 2020. No mowers at my dealer so big box it was. Mower works ok. My LA 130 had a 48in deck that ran perfect for 15 years until deck failed. This deck is specific. Rebuild kits are three times the cost of other JD tractors like the LA etc. Hour meter and fuel gauge crapped out after 50 hrs. Deck is in need of work as spindles or pulleys making noise. Engine with 22 hp twin was smoking upon startup until I removed the easy change system.. I am not to happy with this S130. I think 2020 was a bad year.
@@papemachinery.agturf This might be for me since I need a lawn mower and I have to purchase one for my nearly acre lawn and know nothing about lawn mowers. Paying someone to mow did a terrible job on the lawn
Like he said, “if we can get people to change some of their oil, that’s a good thing”. My friend has had his x350 for 4 years, 130+hours, and hasn’t changed his oil yet.

Not true half the dirty oil is left in crank case. use the conversation kit do it right ...and cheaper ..
Easy change oil system, what a stupid idea. C'mon John Deere! You need to eliminate this at the factory level!
