"First Love" wasn't actually ALL about the piano. It was generally about his music. The piano was his first love, and so was music. When things were tough between his family and his career, alongside his work and the world, he felt like pushing music away, "the piano", to relieve some of his burdens. Turns out it wasn't the best idea because it will always be there and will always be a part of him no matter what. So he came back to it and embraced it. This song was so raw and beautiful, So yoongi
Back with the CCW picks, yay!! First Love is so beautiful. I love how powerful and emotional Yoongi's music always is. Him and his love for music can never be separated.
Snooze, So Far Away, First Love, People are like my most favourite songs from Suga. His lyricism broke me and healed me truly that I immediately had to start listening to BTS with a new found respect & gratitude.
If you want to see SUGA playing piano, on his D-DAY solo concert tour he played Life Goes On on a piano every single show. That’s the most recent you can see him playing. But the one I really love was when he spontaneously played the piano in his hotel room in Japan late last year. He posted it on his ig reel and at that time it was the most viewed ig reel in 24hrs garnering 30M views. ✨💜💜
If you didn't know Suga is a genius. He captures your heart and soul. He hypnotizes you into his childhood experience. The arena lowers into silence just like a quiet echoing library. He poetically and lyrically tells his childhood story with an orchestral tone. His words play us. And we join in communion to his deep feelings and deep abyss. We are his until he let's go and the curtain falls theatrically and with a thud felt in our hearts forever. Like I said. Suga is a genius and also a brilliant moving actor. Bravo. Applause. A standing ovation!
Umm this does have the most incredible live performance!!! Watch that!! It's literally one of the most EPIC performances for Suga. Im surprised no one said that already. It's a must.
Finally you’ve listened to one of his masterpieces...his lyricism is just insane..his songs are so deep..other yoongi’s masterpieces that you need to hear are “So Far Away” and his more recent “Snooze” which features Grammy winner pianist & composer Ryuichi Sakamoto who passed away just weeks before the release of Yoongi’s album D-Day 😢
First Love always makes me cry (Interlude: Shadow always has me a sobbing mess), and the live is definitely worth it. The power and emotion he pours into it live.... It blows me away. But also feels like a supportive hug.💜😻 I can't remember if you've seen Jin performing Epiphany live, because he plays the piano during it.💜 All the members are multi-talented, and it's always so wonderful to watch someone discover, yet another, new aspect to them. if you want to see him play the piano more he played "i need u" for a performance before and again for a puma ad, he played it during his tour for "life goes on" (he also played the guitar on his tour for "seesaw") and he also posted a video on his insta of him playing the piano too
yoongi loves instrumentals and film scores and he incorporates the strings and the piano with this grand vibe in a lot of his productions, like you said hans zimmer-esque he is a big fan of hans zimmers and ryuichi sakamoto (he got to collab with him on snooze)... you can hear more of it in so far away (the original one with suran and the version with jin and jungkook), interlude dream, interlude dawn, snooze, stay alive (by jungkook, prod suga) and his collab with samsung for the over the horizon ringtone in 2021
A lot of the songs Suga produces he goes cinematic quite often... BTS songs like Let Me Know, Tomorrow, or solo songs like Intro: Most Beautiful moment in life, Nevermind, The Last, Snooze (played by Ryuichi Sakamoto Japanese musician who wrote many film soundtracks and a huge inspiration for Yoongi).... If you want to hear him play you can watch his performances on his recent tour of "Seesaw" he is on the guitar and "Life Goes on" (by Agust D not BTS) on the piano! Beautiful solo songs! Also their performance of "Yet to Come" on mcountdown he has a beautiful piano opening

i was one of those people that recommended this to you in your first or second reaction to bts, and I'm so glad you finally got to hear it! yoongi is such a good storyteller. as someone who also plays piano, but hasn't played it in a while (because life happened in between), it makes me a bit emotional whenever i hear this. more than just a first love, yoongi talks about his piano like an old friend, and it makes me realize i kind of think of the piano this way too. the song he was playing in the clip you watched is jungkook's solo from the same album - begin. it's a great song also with rather emotional lyrics, and can't wait until you get to hear that one too.
SO FAR AWAY by suga jk & Jin pls..its a very beautiful song the back ground vocals of Jin and jk adds more emotion to the song and the lyrics are so good it's my fav. Song of all time 😊😊😊😊more power CCW❤❤❤❤
I’ve never played an instrument in my life. However, the emotion he portrays in this song reminds me of the first time I fell in love with music, it self. So beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful reaction❤
This song is a masterpiece. The live is even more emotional, hearing the raw emotion of his voice. My favorite thing yoongi did with this song is how he personified the piano, he speaks in the perspective of the piano and you can hear it in the change of his voice in those parts.
Set me free by Agust D is also very captivating - you heard a snippet of it at the end of one of your recent videos and thought it was V singing, but it is actually Suga 😃🎶
Hey CCW! if you come across an old bangtan bomb in the future that doesnt have any english subtitles you can copy and paste the title into the search bar and add "ENG SUB". Back in the day Bighit didn't translate anything for us, so ARMY translators would reupload bangtan bombs on their own channels with subtitles for us out of the kindness of their own hearts and saved the day! This was a great reaction CCW! Thanks for Sharing 💜
There is a touching scene near the end of “ Road to D-Day” documentary. Suga plays one of his hero’s greatest works from the score of the movie “The Last Emperor” on the piano for the man himself, Ryuichi Sakamoto. After that Mr. Sakamoto plays for Suga. Sakamoto worked with Suga on “Snooze” and passed away from cancer about a month before the D Day album was released. Suga had a tribute for Mr. Sakamoto during his concert. (Since this is on Disney, you probably can’t show here but hope you can see it just for yourselves. It is near the end.)
I Need You (Piano Ver. - short ver.) ruclips.net/video/JyHaRCMbx6A/видео.html (I guess there's no problem watching this since you all have watched I Need You? Please please make it happen) :) Yoongi's Piano Cover - Sakamoto Ryuichi's Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence and Seesaw Demo Ver. (medley) ruclips.net/video/vAHUB5PKnQQ/видео.html
Hi guys! I'm sure you've had lots of comments about other suggestions, but I thought I'd add mine too heh. For more Suga songs with a big instrumental focus: Snooze (he actually collaborated with the late Japanese movie composer Ryuichi Sakamoto for this one!) and So Far Away. Both of those songs are also attached in the album tracklists to some amazing instrumental interludes--Interlude_dream, Reality and Interlude: Dawn respectively. If you want a good video of Suga playing the piano, there are a few clips of him playing an acoustic version of I Need U and a video on his Instagram of his cover of Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. As for a performance, he did play piano on his tour, specifically for his version of Life Goes On that appears on his most recent album. There are plenty of videos out there of that I'm sure. For other BTS songs in this category I would highly recommend Jin's solo song Awake! (Also showcases some amazing Jin vocals and on the tour they had an orchestra on stage with him for this performance!) Many of BTS' Japanese songs are also really strong on cinematic, swelling instrumentals as well: Crystal Snow, Film Out, and Your Eyes Tell to name just a few. I know you guys have lots to check out, but these are some I think you'd really like. Hope you guys enjoy and looking forward to the next video!
I’m so happy y’all finally heard this beautiful song (I voted for it every time) but I was disappointed you didn’t watch the live version. I thought it would be the 2nd one you watched. Please, please, for yourselves watch “BTS (Suga) - First Love live at The Wings tour 2017 [ENG SUB]”! This is a post by “Enjoy BTS more”. Read the comments too because she has quotes of Suga’s about the song. Watching this live version is sooo emotional. Tears every time I watch it.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
- Firstly, not sure if you guys have seen it or not but here a very short clip of yoongi playing i need you on piano: ruclips.net/video/JyHaRCMbx6A/видео.html - Secondly, here.. He didn't played the piano in this performance but here's a live performance of 'First Love' for you guys to see & there was a live band too in this (ik that you guys love it) ruclips.net/video/KMr_cZFhECY/видео.html Also you haven't reacted to that song yet but in yoongi's recent album 'D-DAY', he has his own version of bts's song 'Life goes on'. During his entire recent tour he had played the piano for every single performance of 'Life goes on' (which was absolutely beautiful), we even got to hear his vocals while he plays the piano. Hope you guys can check that out too one day, you'll love it💜
Getting teary eyed when listening to Yoongi’s songs. So far away is another one. It helps me a lot when I lose focus on my dreams and when I feel like giving up, that song pulls me back up.
If you're interested in his musical instrument playing, you definitely need to check live performances of Suga's Life Goes On and Seesaw on his solo tour. He played Life Goes On (Suga Ver.) with piano and Seesaw with guitar.
This is such a beautiful emotional song. The song itself is a biographical mini movie. Between his voice, the melody and lyrics I am in tears again.😭 The wonderful greatness about BTS songs are that you can really feel their genuine sincerity which resonates and makes you relate compared to a lot of the songs out there nowadays in general. SUGA really knows how to tuck at my heart with his music. I have my own piano story and this just brought back my own memories as well. I always thought SUGA is a great storyteller with his music. Love that I get to experience all this and much more to come in my lifetime.💜
Not sure if you guys have plans/have watched any of his live streamed concerts but he plays the piano multiple times on tour and he sung this song live which is also amazing! Glad you guys finally got to listed to it - love his solo work.
For me, the lines "Don't ever feel sorry to me, I will get to meet you again NO MATTER WHAT FORM" signifies how he can always meet his first love, MUSIC. Which was given to him by the piano in his childhood. There was a sense of assurance from MUSIC that it will never leave him even though he neglected it for long. It will always be there in any way, shape, or form, even not with piano.
This song is nothing more than a masterpiece. Yoongi out did hisself with this one. The emotions this song puts you through is mind blowing. He puts his everything in his music, he raps with so much conviction, aggression, and passion. Not just this song, but all of his music. He is simply a phenomenal musician.
He's playing the music that accompanied his short film that introduced First Love in the Wings era, they were released prior to the drop of Blood Sweat and Tears, it's also what he's filming in that Bangtan Bomb
I just wanted to point out that when yoongi changes his voice in the song it was supposed to depict the piano speaking to him. It’s just so cool how he constructed the song with so much detail to it 💜
I don’t think I saw anyone mention it in the video or in the comments but one of the things I love the most that is in this song and a few other BTS songs is their tendency to change their voice tone or style to signal that someone else is speaking (like in this song) or that something is being said sarcastically (like in Ugh) in this video at about 4:13 he changes his tone and style to let us know it’s the piano that is talking. I don’t know of many if not any other artist that does this and it’s probably one of my favorite things. Probably because it’s a storyteller’s tactic and to use it in music is just… so clever. 💜💜
I don’t listen to this song often, just when I’m sooo sad idkw🥲💔just the pain in his voice and the feeling that he is hurt makes me cry. I can’t. This song means so much to me and has a special place in my heart. Thank you so much for the reaction i was waiting for it for sooo long🥲💜
there is a somewhat of an mv for first love btw!!! and the song suga was playing in the bangtan bomb is begin which is jungkooks solo song in the wings album. first love and begin are related in the bts universe!
Guyssssss...check out "life goes on - Agustd " in DDay tour...He is singing while playing piano in his concert...it is like a heaven ❤❤❤you guys definitely will like it😭
First Love is when I fell for Suga. It's such a perfect little piece and he delivers it with such sincerity. Musicians usually connect to it pretty hard. The live with the piano onstage with him is particularly powerful.
There's a live video of first love in RUclips that I love so much. No matter how many times I watch it I always have goosebumps at the second half of the song 😭
I'M SO HAPPY !!! First Love is my favorite Yoongi song ever, as musicians I feel like we really understand how gritty and strong his words come across, he's feeling the emotions and I feel it too :((
I’m late but this is the first song that I heard from bts and it made me an army, during the time I was going through a lot and I had just lost someone dear to me and I always feel like they sent me this song and bts to save me. So this song is so dear to me 💜
this song was the first bts song that made me cry. the passion and all the other emotions you could feel in yoongi's voice and also the lyrics and the povs from yoongi's side and also the piano's
It’s interesting you mention Hans Zimmer. Hans Zimmer is one of Yoongi’s favorite composers. 🥹 The first time I ever heard First Love, I was sobbing by the end and I didn’t even read lyrics. It’s just the emotion he puts into it made me feeeeeeeel.
This song solidified Suga as my bias. It’s such an unexpected song when you see the title First Love but it’s so very very beautiful. He has some of the most cinematic songs as a producer from So Far Away to his interludes and even songs like Snooze. Even the Samsung ringtone he composed is cinematic and sweeping. So much for you to react to.
"First love" and "Snooze" are one of my favorite Yoongi songs. I relate to First Love a lot since I also learned to play on that acoustic brown piano we have at home back at my hometown and now that I finally bought a proper Digital Piano for my apartment these are the two songs I'm learning on it 💜 Speaking of Snooze, I really recommend it to have as a CCW pick if you'll find a free spot one day. It is feat. Ryuichi Sakamoto (RIP 💜), a Japanese composer that Yoongi looks up to a lot and actually had a chance to meet and show Snooze to him before he died 🥺 Snooze also has that soundtrack piano vibe that I know you love just as much as I do 💜 And if you ever do, I would personally recommend watching the live from road to D-Day and then a fan-made MV : ruclips.net/video/zCNqdvR9e_w/видео.html if Juli agrees, it has mostly clips from his Road to D-day documentary but also some extra clips while doesn't spoil anything to much in my opinion, but adds a suitable atmosphere to understand the emotions of the song better 💜
I definitely recommend the Road to D Day scene with Ryuichi Sakamoto, it is so moving watching him interact with one of his very first musical inspirations.
First Love and Stigma are both from the Wings album - the first time every member had a solo song on the album - and I can promise you every single one of those solos is amazing. You mostly listend to the LY-era solos which are great too (and a lot more upbeat..) but the Wings-era solos will always be my favourites because every single one of them can make me cry even now when I listen to them now years later
When I started listening to bts songs I wasnt much into rap songs so kept pushing the rap line solos for later *my ignorant self*. But, idk if you guys know about Bang bang con but it was this special streaming of almost all of bts concerts, that happened back to back for two days I guess in the pandemic times, so on the first day, I woke up- saw the notif of bang bang con and played it- wings concert was going on and suga's solo started... He started performing first love and even without knowing the lyrics I was so moved by the music and the rawness in his performance, started crying without even noticing it! And I couldn't control was tears as well... Went straight to check the song and the lyrics just 💔. Changed my view for the rap line solos completely. It's an absolutely beautiful song and will always remain in my top 5 Suga solos.
So, so happy that you finally got around to reacting to First Love. This song always makes me so emotional, Yoongi just knows how to strike that sentimental chord in us. The music swelling as it reaches its climax always sends me to tears. He is really a musical genius. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼💜💜💜
I CAN'T BELIEVE how from yesterday you have been reacting to every song I really wanted you to watch.. first Stigma and now First Love (MY FIRST LOVE) 💜💜💜💜
One of those songs not just BTS, but overall, that makes me cry with every listen. There are a very few songs like this that one cherishes. This song is so close to my heart.
I don't remember if you watched the Wings short films that belong to the Bangtan Universe (I don't think you did), but that Bangtan Bomb was a behind the scenes for Yoongi's short ... you'll also hear the melody he played in the corresponding short films. There also exist a couple of videos of Yoongi playing "I need you" on the piano. And there was a beautiful instagram reel of him playing in his hotel room, which went massively viral.
I love this song. Watching him perform this live brings tears to my eyes - a raw and emotional performance for him. And the live band, the music swells, and the outro - breathtaking.
It is my favorite song ever, so much emotions. And it is popular song. I think people fir Atmys but not mainstream song and I feel people always recommend this ones more. Oh and he said he cried recording it and it us remixed into music. Live is so much, ahh you feel him. He had his actual piano from home on toure....
The cinematic score was UNEXPECTED! Have had this on repeat 👏🏻🔥

Suga!!!🥰🥺💞💞💞i love this song so much!!!! she is so special!😭💖thank you ccw for reacting to it, and thank you Yoongi for making this song so amazing and special for me💜
I get emotional every time I hear this, the lyrics are so pretty
Here's a clip of Yoongi playing Ryuichi Sakamoto's ost from the movie Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence with a little bit of Seesaw demo version thrown in. ruclips.net/video/8zWmVokS7PI/видео.html This is him playing the intro for Yet To Come ruclips.net/user/shortsWdmhZAkhmuE And this is a Puma advertisement where he plays I Need You ruclips.net/video/FoT2jPKAC6I/видео.html

On his reels too
i was one of those people that recommended this to you in your first or second reaction to bts, and I'm so glad you finally got to hear it! yoongi is such a good storyteller. as someone who also plays piano, but hasn't played it in a while (because life happened in between), it makes me a bit emotional whenever i hear this. more than just a first love, yoongi talks about his piano like an old friend, and it makes me realize i kind of think of the piano this way too. the song he was playing in the clip you watched is jungkook's solo from the same album - begin. it's a great song also with rather emotional lyrics, and can't wait until you get to hear that one too.
Wow! Just in time after Suchwita with jungkook! 🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Perfect pairing for today
@@LisaMT1218 exactly! 💜
i used to watch this lyric video so much during my baby army days and cry every single time
SO FAR AWAY by suga jk & Jin pls..its a very beautiful song the back ground vocals of Jin and jk adds more emotion to the song and the lyrics are so good it's my fav. Song of all time 😊😊😊😊more power CCW❤❤❤❤
Y’all gotta hear So Far Away… my all time favorite Suga song I cry EVERYTIME
I’ve never played an instrument in my life. However, the emotion he portrays in this song reminds me of the first time I fell in love with music, it self. So beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful reaction❤
This song is a masterpiece. The live is even more emotional, hearing the raw emotion of his voice. My favorite thing yoongi did with this song is how he personified the piano, he speaks in the perspective of the piano and you can hear it in the change of his voice in those parts.
and that's not the only suga song that is lyrically beautiful, you should discover more of his music
Set me free by Agust D is also very captivating - you heard a snippet of it at the end of one of your recent videos and thought it was V singing, but it is actually Suga 😃🎶
Suga é tão talentoso 💜👑
he was playing begin by Jungkook
Hey CCW! if you come across an old bangtan bomb in the future that doesnt have any english subtitles you can copy and paste the title into the search bar and add "ENG SUB".
Please please make it happen) :)
Yoongi's Piano Cover - Sakamoto Ryuichi's Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence and Seesaw Demo Ver. (medley) ruclips.net/video/vAHUB5PKnQQ/видео.html
After all these yrs Suga made sure ARMY got to see how good he is on a piano at his concert. He brought the piano out. YES HE DID. Amazing!!!!!
Suga's concerts were amazing. It's good to watch some of its performances. I'm sure you will enjoy it
you guys HAVE TO watch the live performance for this!! its incredible
Tears every time I watch it.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
- Firstly, not sure if you guys have seen it or not but here a very short clip of yoongi playing i need you on piano: ruclips.net/video/JyHaRCMbx6A/видео.html
- Secondly, here.. He didn't played the piano in this performance but here's a live performance of 'First Love' for you guys to see & there was a live band too in this (ik that you guys love it) ruclips.net/video/KMr_cZFhECY/видео.html
Also you haven't reacted to that song yet but in yoongi's recent album 'D-DAY', he has his own version of bts's song 'Life goes on'. During his entire recent tour he had played the piano for every single performance of 'Life goes on' (which was absolutely beautiful), we even got to hear his vocals while he plays the piano. Hope you guys can check that out too one day, you'll love it💜
Thank you so much for posting the links as I've never seen this before 💜

Getting teary eyed when listening to Yoongi’s songs. So far away is another one. It helps me a lot when I lose focus on my dreams and when I feel like giving up, that song pulls me back up.
Suga played the piano in his solo concert for the song life goes on
If you're interested in his musical instrument playing, you definitely need to check live performances of Suga's Life Goes On and Seesaw on his solo tour. He played Life Goes On (Suga Ver.) with piano and Seesaw with guitar.
He's the one that plays piano on i need u
This is such a beautiful emotional song. The song itself is a biographical mini movie. Between his voice, the melody and lyrics I am in tears again.😭 The wonderful greatness about BTS songs are that you can really feel their genuine sincerity which resonates and makes you relate compared to a lot of the songs out there nowadays in general. SUGA really knows how to tuck at my heart with his music. I have my own piano story and this just brought back my own memories as well. I always thought SUGA is a great storyteller with his music. Love that I get to experience all this and much more to come in my lifetime.💜
For Suga playing and singing live I would recommend Life goes on from the Agust D tour
Not sure if you guys have plans/have watched any of his live streamed concerts but he plays the piano multiple times on tour and he sung this song live which is also amazing! Glad you guys finally got to listed to it - love his solo work.
For me, the lines "Don't ever feel sorry to me,
I will get to meet you again NO MATTER WHAT FORM" signifies how he can always meet his first love, MUSIC.
SUGA is something else. So distant from the usual artists u see around nowadays. A very unique human being.
It’s just so cool how he constructed the song with so much detail to it 💜
I love how the piano is the voice of music... Telling him it will always be there. It's such brilliant writing.
He played a bit of the piano during his tour too, it was amazing
suga’s playing BEGIN by Jungkook
I don’t listen to this song often, just when I’m sooo sad idkw🥲💔just the pain in his voice and the feeling that he is hurt makes me cry. I can’t. This song means so much to me and has a special place in my heart. Thank you so much for the reaction i was waiting for it for sooo long🥲💜
there is a somewhat of an mv for first love btw!!!
and the song suga was playing in the bangtan bomb is begin which is jungkooks solo song in the wings album. first love and begin are related in the bts universe!
This track gets me every single time 😢 Yoongi's lyrics are unmatched
Guyssssss...check out "life goes on - Agustd " in DDay tour...He is singing while playing piano in his concert...it is like a heaven ❤❤❤you guys definitely will like it😭
First Love is when I fell for Suga. It's such a perfect little piece and he delivers it with such sincerity.
Musicians usually connect to it pretty hard.
The live with the piano onstage with him is particularly powerful.
es mi canción favorita, definitivamente de las mejores canciones de yoon, siempre me hace llorar
There's a live video of first love in RUclips that I love so much. No matter how many times I watch it I always have goosebumps at the second half of the song 😭
I'M SO HAPPY !!! First Love is my favorite Yoongi song ever, as musicians I feel like we really understand how gritty and strong his words come across, he's feeling the emotions and I feel it too :((
I clicked this video faster than SUGA'S playing piano out there.
I’m late but this is the first song that I heard from bts and it made me an army, during the time I was going through a lot and I had just lost someone dear to me and I always feel like they sent me this song and bts to save me. So this song is so dear to me 💜
This song made me cry when I realized what his first love was. This may be my fave Suga song with Shadow a close second.
this song was the first bts song that made me cry. the passion and all the other emotions you could feel in yoongi's voice and also the lyrics and the povs from yoongi's side and also the piano's
It’s interesting you mention Hans Zimmer. Hans Zimmer is one of Yoongi’s favorite composers. 🥹
The first time I ever heard First Love, I was sobbing by the end and I didn’t even read lyrics.
I relate to First Love a lot since I also learned to play on that acoustic brown piano we have at home back at my hometown and now that I finally bought a proper Digital Piano for my apartment these are the two songs I'm learning on it 💜
Speaking of Snooze, I really recommend it to have as a CCW pick if you'll find a free spot one day. It is feat. Ryuichi Sakamoto (RIP 💜), a Japanese composer that Yoongi looks up to a lot and actually had a chance to meet and show Snooze to him before he died 🥺 Snooze also has that soundtrack piano vibe that I know you love just as much as I do 💜
And if you ever do, I would personally recommend watching the live from road to D-Day and then a fan-made MV : ruclips.net/video/zCNqdvR9e_w/видео.html if Juli agrees, it has mostly clips from his Road to D-day documentary but also some extra clips while doesn't spoil anything to much in my opinion, but adds a suitable atmosphere to understand the emotions of the song better 💜
I definitely recommend the Road to D Day scene with Ryuichi Sakamoto, it is so moving watching him interact with one of his very first musical inspirations.
SO far away by Suga, JK and JIn... please, someday
Suga was trying to play begin from wings album... He said he will play jungkook's solo song...
This song is so close to my heart.
tienen que hacer espacio en su lista y ver la entrevista de suga y jumgkook moriran de risa. Abby y Summer les encantara. tienen que verlo
Apoyo esto!!
Agreed 😁
