Loved it! I went to Mackinac Island in the early 2000s I think. I don't remember having to pay to get into the Grand hotel at that time. If we did, it had to have been pretty inexpensive. We got to walk around in the hotel and on the porch.

Your videos are my most anticipated on RUclips. I don't know how you find these places, but you are certainly seeing (and sharing) some absolutely beautiful places in the U.S. Love it! 🙂 Cheers!

@@calledtojourney I have a lot of faith in your channel. I started following Mer Cruises Solo when she had 500 subs, now she's approaching 6,000. The quality of your videos and the interesting topics you choose to share will take you far. Keep up the great work. You have a fan here. 🙂

i’ve so enjoyed all of your videos. You visit the most special places and your commentaries are all so interesting and informative. I love Mackinaw Island but have always avoided it during tourist season. So thank you for letting me revisit, with you ,at a more peaceful time.
I’m now looking forward to your journey back to the Upper Peninsula. My favorite place. Your photography is spectacular.
    Keep up the great videos!

I go every summer. I’m an artist and I do plein air painting there. I love the island! Fall and spring are my favorite seasons. Winter in December is interesting too. There’s only locals around

I can see how the island would be an inspiring place to paint. We thought that it would be a lovely place in the winter! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great photography overall and some great, great drone footage too! Remember having to "watch your step" on the roads of Mackinac Island. It is indeed like stepping back in time but figure it must be a pretty lonely place during the winters for the few hardy souls who live there all year around.

Yes, we've seen videos of the island in the winter, and it's a very different experience, to be sure! Thanks for watching and commenting!
