It's not our car so we don't have first hand experience with it, but I can tell you that it's been owned for 15 years and really hasn't had any issues at all, though it's been a garage queen for most of its life. And yeah, people say they can be a bit thirsty on gas sometimes. I'd say 15 trouble-free years is great. The timing belt and water pump needs to be replaced every now and then, I'd say every 100k miles for the timing belt, but I'm not sure about the water pump. Avoid the earlier '03-'05 models that were prone to transmission issues.
