I've bought keyboards based on the way they sound in the store. Some sounds are painful to me or just plain too distracting. Oftentimes a cheap no-name brand is better for me because they use less material to make the board so less of an echo/sharp plastic grinding sound.

Sounds like you need to just figure out what switches you like and go from there .and most keyboards you can buy in strores are going to sound bad as there made of cheap plastic , they have a hollow as case and they have crappy switches

Another cheap and easy way to make your keyboard to sound good and feel good I personally like to tape mod it with painters tape and add 3 layers on the back of the pcb

I really like the sound of the final result, because it still feels substantial despite also being kind of quiet. I love my mechanical keyboard, but it's placed close enough to my mic that my friends hear my typing when I use it. Something like this could potentially be a solution.

I would suggest using RTX voice I had the same problem and it completely cuts out my keyboards noise on discord so no one hears my typing even though my mic is right next to the keyboard.

I did this to a board recently with normal white glue. It sounds much better she it dries translucent enough that it would work for rgb keycaps

Here is an idea tell shroud to have Logitech produce a high quality keyboard and a standard version. Or even a mod pack with quality keys. That way shroud is happy with the quality and Logitech makes more money and its happy.
