    Hello Courtney, thanks. I am only a Masters student on sabbatical right now but this video gave me a glimpse of what's involved in doing a Doctorate. Thanks for your clear presentation of the topic. I will probably watch your video multiple times in order for me to digest your points of discussion. I like to watch Thomas Frank's productivity videos as well but his videos are so dense with information that it can be difficult to digest in one sitting. Thanks for adding to my reservoir of info.

    Thank you for providing this content. You mentioned a reference manager. I never knew this existed. During my masters program I used word or doc with highlights and short sentences to help me identify the content. I will definitely explore this further

    Hi,
    Thanks for the excellent advice.
    You have advised me not to isolate myself in the first year of my PhD (which I am starting in May) and to stay connected. I will be doing my PhD via my university's Cloud Campus. Do you have any tips regarding how I can not isolate myself?

    • @NerdToFit
      @NerdToFit  3 года назад

      Congratulations on the offer! And best wishes when starting. It’s really tough starting virtually and I applaud you in advance.
      I would say to get as involved as possible. If there are events such as virtual coffee mornings, try to join. Go to your research group meetings etc. It’s really easy to stick to yourself when doing distance learning. But just try to join various calls. Take advantage of the welcome week events and connect with some of the new PhDs as well

      @@NerdToFit Thanks Maria.
      When you say 'connect with some of the new PhDs as well', do you mean 'connect with some of the new PhD students as well?'
