That version of I'll Be Around was amazing! For whatever reason I feel like we normally don't get to see you go to work that high up the neck like that. Inspiring as always Lemmo
George School is a very prestigious school in PA with some very notable alums. They also crank out some really killer guitarists as well case in point this Lemmo kid
awesome..! I own a 1974 strat. only it doesn't have the tremelo.. I purchased it when I was 12 for 500.. it came with a fender twin reverb amp which I still have as well .. you're an excellent guitarist..
the Strat is such an iconic guitar , so beautiful and great sounding , nothing ever needs to change , it can do anything from jazz to funk to disco to punk to metal to classic rock , all in single coil , with that classic tone. Lemmo , you are such a creative and unique guitarist , always a pleasure to just to listen to you play , can't wait for the next episode , always fun and entertaining. Thanks guys.
Wow, I could listen to that playing all night, so relaxing, thanks Lemmon and Jen for putting out some awesome tunes and videos. Oh the guitar was sweet...
If your going to read this comment section Mike then you need record them tracks you play they are great extra content for all guitar network perhaps 🤔 keep up the good work
Dude.. this is the funniest most awesome guitar of the day!! So funny so great. Really gives all us guitar geeks the feeling of how awesome it is to work at Norms!!
That was awesome.... classic. I love that GOTD is not taking itself seriously these days (except for the playing which is very serious stuff). I also loved the outro with Jen wobbling the camera. It feels like we get to join in the fun!
Wow. That was fabulous.. The Sister Sledge at the end was brilliant and Jens camera work was amazing.. But track 2..i wanted that to go on and on... That was bloody incredible.. Mike keep on smashing it! The UK loves ya
So many firsts in this one! An empty case (LOL), a no edit retrieval, followed up with a stellar performance of a Lemmo original Hendrix tribute, The Spinners “I’ll be Around”, PLUS a Niles Rodgers’ Sisters Sledge “He’s the Greatest Dancer” jam? What a fantastic Straturday!!
I bought a spanking new 74 stratocaster that very year (age 17). I had Gord Miller vintage strip the poly finish - now nitro - similarly the neck cleaned up to a satin finish - much improved feel and appearance - sound little changed. great demo here. I have played disco / Niles riffs in a local band, no better guitar. I recently acquired. 74 telecaster custom, no finer pickup than the wide range.
I don’t even care about the guitars I jus wanna hear mike play tbh
true dat
I just wanna here Jen laugh....
@Rage Theatre2020 Lemmo sez 'Thanks Mom..'

U M what?
"Well, its in the original finish" was classic! Lol!
he should have said "as you can guess... it's very light weight, which is cool !"
Last song name?
The cleanest finish I've ever seen .... I could see right through it .
another excellent GotD episode!! .... keep up the good work!!
Last song name anyone?
The empty case was... well, let's just say... it made the entire episode. Playing was great too.
I liked the case, but that guitar is crap.
Last song name anyone?
When the guitar was missing, I was totally expecting to see Mark out on the couch ready to give us a surprise Straturday.
I was too and I was really heartbroken when it didn't happen
Same.

I have been sick on a new medication for the past three days, and that empty case took my mind off my ills for a few moments.
Thanks, Lemmo and Jen!
Get well soon!

Welcome to Norman's Air Guitars! Nice work as always!
Now that made me laugh.
Here it is! I salute you.
Thanks for the birthday shout out, Jen and Lemmo. My kids were super excited. Great playing as always.
Best GoTD ever! That "original finish" line while the camera is focused on an empty case is LEGENDARY!!!!
That version of I'll Be Around was amazing! For whatever reason I feel like we normally don't get to see you go to work that high up the neck like that.
Inspiring as always Lemmo
Another Awesome Geetar of the Day.. Superb..!
The Emperor’s new Strat. You should have played the Zombies “She’s not there” on the bridge pickup, wide open 😉
Best episode yet Lemmo shows you're human and not a guitar playing robot.
Killer non Hendrix Hendrix BTW.
Holy Moly! That first tune! Second tune! Pretty much anything you play! Damn!
Dat boy... he good! 😊🎉👍🏼

That is top quality entertainment right there, bloopers good vibes and good music. Now all I need is the money to buy a guitar, my house can wait

LOL, the best part of this video is that Lemmo didn’t skip a beat when he opened the case...nice composure!🤙🏻😉🎸
1974 Fender Stratocaster in original see-through finish. Wonderful!
Michael, you are an absolute genius with the looper. I could listen to that all day.
That first piece is just super-freakin’ sweet.
Mike and Jen. That was funny AF . Seriously keep it fun love the laughter you both add to GOTD! ROCK ON!
Mark, wish you well, but if you leave your seat.... you lose it! This kid can whip it!!
4-20 was about a month ago- better late than never you two !
It's never too late✌🏻😏
Wow. Just wow.

Mike is such a fluid inventive player. I had the same Strat in the 70s. Thanks to Katrina it got ruined.
Jason j that’s a bit far
@Jason j ....its bad joke....I guess the internet doesn't get "bad jokes"
@Jason j I get the joke but thanks to the Edge and Musicares I got new guitars and equipment but sure miss that Strat way more than the wife.
@Jason j ...lol,nothing offends me and I'm not a millennial....
@Jason j ...and I'm not an idiot, you dont even know who I am or what I do..
Playing yourself out was super cool...excellent !
A Clearcaster. Very rare no one's ever seen one. 74 first year as well. Something you will not see everyday. Only at Norman's. I bet it's gone by now.
The reason I love this segment, is the great guitar playing
Brilliant, brightened my morning. You own GOTD now. Thank you.
That's a SWEEET one. Sounds amazing 😍
Smiling the whole way through that one, great stuff guys!
I love how personal this episode was
Michael, today's GOTD was a GRAND SLAM!!! The guitar was really nice too!
Thank you Michael that was great ... Especially that last "in- between" song. Well done !!
Thanks Jen and Norm !!!
My birth year. I need that that strat!!
That clear coat is something else!
Again, great job Mike and Jen!!
Even Jen got excited...
That's how you know this is top notch!
Mr lemmo; 2 song 3 song! Thank you for making my day! 👍
Fun intro... change of pace🤣.
as usual, fantastic playing.
I'm making a trip from SF to LA for my first time just to go to Norm's. It's kinda like going to Mecca.
That's one beautiful sounding strat.
Wow, I could listen to that playing all night, so relaxing, thanks Lemmon and Jen for putting out some awesome tunes and videos. Oh the guitar was sweet...
Im still checkin the mailman everyday for the strat Norm was shipping for my birthday... That was May 9th.. Yep.... Still waitin.

Yes, we want you back. Your playing is inspirational Lemmo
This is a beautiful Stratocaster. I usually don't like guitars with Burst Finishes, but there was something about this one.
Nice playing btw.

"this is from 1974...... it's an empty case! TADAA!!" good one Lemmo.
Slayed with that Spinners piece too!
Love Lemmo’s wide range of taste & influences. Funk guitar is awesome!
A beauty
Sick playin Michael and that Hendrix style part was outstanding, you the man , go Lemmo!
Got the same year...a keeper. Too cool.
That was awesome.... classic. I love that GOTD is not taking itself seriously these days (except for the playing which is very serious stuff). I also loved the outro with Jen wobbling the camera. It feels like we get to join in the fun!
Lemmo's new movie: "The Guitar That Wasn't There." Great Hendrix stand-in, funky Nile Rodgers/Sister Sledge piece. Keep it up!
Dude, i love this episode😂 love the fact youre so real almost the most! Keep the good work up🤘🏼🤙🏼
(And keep the loops man, thats cool)
1974 Strat "Stealth" version lol.
Love the playing, Love the humor, Lemmo is doing great!
The second tune you played was legit. That vibe made my day.

When the case opened this became my second favorite episode ever. LOL Michael.

I love the unedited hilarity. What a whole fun dimension to the videos we get to explore now.

it was thinking of you, not the greatest dancer
I have waited for a long time to see an empty case, it had to happen one day! Fantastic. Great Strat btw, for a mid 70's it has something about it.
74 is pretty much considered early 70’s bro 75 is mid
Love Lemmo
Been listening to stratophere all weekend
Great episode!!
That was funny. Excellent playing as usual.
That middle pickup song was siiiiiiccckkkkkkk

Wow!!! You KILLED whenever you call me....
The Spinners!!! Love it
You're killing it Michael!
That first piece killed.
damn you were groovin hard towards the end! funky
It begins with the laughing Lemmo.
F******* outstanding Mike.
The emptiness of the case represents the elusive tone we all chase. It’s the ultimate dilemmo.
Great playing as per usual...
April 1st 2020, you need to do an air guitar. I'll be expecting it.
That Hendrix thing should be a song. So cool!
