Thank you soooo much! I’m a 2nd year “newbie “ gardener … this is the first Fall I started a garden, and growing baby honey nut squash. I watched multiple videos and did research online and most people suggested using panty hose. I bought panty hose from the dollar store, but didn’t feel right putting my squash in the panty hose leg to cradle. I was right with my instincts after watching your video. The cotton tshirt is a great support idea, no toxic chemicals in my food that I feed my family. Thank you for sharing, I am a new subscriber now! 😊👍🏽❤️😁🇺🇸
This is a great idea I will be using this for my pumpkins mine are going to be big this year as we have had lots of hot weather here in Scotland 🏴 Beautiful blessings 😊🏴
Thank you so much. Especially info on decomposed pantyhose leaving micro plastics in soil. How late do you wait to harvest? We don’t have a freeze here in California. How long can I wait to harvest? Looking to grow African drum gourd as large as possible.
I'm trying to find the video you mentioned about trellis. I can't find it on your channel or is the trellis info is tucked into another video? If so could you please tell me which one? Thank you
If it rains a lot can it rot the fruit..? I’m wondering since I’m growing a pumpkin that’s becoming quite big and I need to support it but.. it rains almost every day here! So maybe it’s a bad idea to use a shirt in my case, or what do you think..?
Guilty of using pantyhose, thanks for the words of caution. I have passed on this knowledge to friends. I appreciate your experience and knowledge. Thanks!
Thank you very much for this. I'm growing spaghetti squash for the first time, and vertically as well. Do you ever remove/cut off the unpollinated female fruit? Or is that not necessary? I always worry they will encourage rot and proliferation of mold, etc.
Wether it's tomatoes or squashes I try to tuck the fruit when it's young under an adjacent wire when possible to avoid hard bends and pinching by the wire
great advice! I should also have added that I often train larger pumpkins lower on a fence so I can just prop a 5 gallon bucket or some bricks under them if needs be. These set fruit before I realized what happened, and then I'm hesitant to move vines bc they break so easily.
Why is hoisting the fruit upwards a bad idea? Is it just if the vine has stiffened into the downwards bending shape? I hoisted up some cantaloupes on some young vines a week ago and it didn't seem like a bad idea. The vines were only pencil thick though, so still quite flexible.
Would you please post a link to the sister channel you mentioned at the very end of your video? I couldn’t understand the last word after Parkrose House ? I’d love to check it out.
Absolutely! There’s a link embedded at the end of the video, but you can also find it here: Check out my new channel: ruclips.net/video/8T8p7KFf90Y/видео.html

This is awesome and perfect timing! Never thought of using my old cotton shirts like this. And they are reusable!!! Very permaculture. 💚🌟
Love the non plastic approach🐸

Great! Thanks for the info on the nylons! I will be going to Goodwill to find some stretchy cotton tees 😅
Thank you for explaining why nylon is not a great idea!
super helpful, thanks!

Great idea! I was going to use panty hose so glad for the tip.

That is such a sweet squash bra. I'm in FInland europe and I only use cotton pantyhose. Interesting that the norm in USA seems to be ylon.

Good an valuable information but the video's could have been shorter. Starting at 5:30 or about would have been more to the point.
Thank-you ☺️
