Absolutely unbelievable scenes in the league today. I'll always be a Ginger stan but Hoshi may have found a new fan in me with that astounding display of emotional intelligence. His true colors really came out for all to see.
I blame Hoshi's behaviour on his coach: Tetsuryu Fujioinko. Tetsuryu was the champion of the Japanese League of Pigs in '87, '91, and '92. He would've been a shoe-in as GOAT in the Japanese League except for his off-field antics. For example, his notorious sake binging and the rutting incident of '88 with the winner of the 1988 Miss Piggy competition, the famous beautiful actress Horuoinky Miyachunky from Satsuma. Hoshi is too inspired by his coach's past antics and needs to think about what kind of piggy he wants to be.
I watched this in a hotel room, yelling with all my might and rooting for my favs. What a season and what a finale! Well done you glorious oinkers, well done!
It looked like Pepper got under Bear's skin and rattled her to the point where her racing suffered, but it's unbelievable that she pulled it back after 4 straight seasons of being at the back of the grid
I'm honestly shocked as to how close it really was at final. Impressive work ethic by Piggie Smalls and Ginger to bring it to a tie for second and a point off the championship.
Bear has us sweating bullets yet Bear dares to stroll over the finish line with confidence even as the score advantage shrinks! A fantastic league that's been a great joy to follow, perhaps Pepper will be re-energized to reach the podium again in the next league.
Love the finale! How exciting. I couldn't believe the turn-around from Bear when it looks like a sure thing that she would wipe all of them out only to have her performance go downhill with only one point getting her the championship with Ginger and Smalls tying for second. What a crazy scene between Pepper and Bear too! I couldn't be sure if I was watching pig racing or pig wrestling. What a gesture by Hoshi to break up the fight and keep the gals from getting injured. I was really worried there. I would hate to see them take each other out. They're all wonderful, adorable pigs and I don't want to see those sweet pigs hurting each other. Hopefully they've settled their differences and are friends again. Digging therapy on the hill was a good idea for Pepper. I'm looking forward to another season of exciting pig racing, piggy interest stories of the pigs, and of course the wonderful commentary by the sportscaster. A winning formula in my book!
As an American, I am obligated to support Piggy Smalls. But as a lover of cute little piggie faces, I can't help but secretly cheer on Pepper Sanchez. (Go Mexico!!)
