Song was on the air in 1990 the band formed in 1989 . The singer was nearly killed on stage when part of the lighting rigg fell on him essentially smashing his face braking his jaw . They put out one more album in 92 She's Gone , was very good . I had a girlfriend that this was our song . Well she's gone and I married someone else . But I still talk to her and she always smiles when I bring up this song .
Fun fact, Miljenko was born in Croatia (back then a republic of former Yugoslavia) in my own hometown, well city, capital, Zagreb. Moved to the states with his parents at the age of 6 though.
After his stage accident in 1992, Mili is lucky to be alive and still singing almost as well today as he did back then. He's definitely been gifted with an amazing voice. Great reaction! If you haven't heard "She's Gone" by Steelheart, check it out!
My dude! Told you this guy had some crazy high vocals. This song came out in 1990, and in 30 years I don't think I've ever heard anyone come even close to the high range of Miljenko Matijevic. Vocals are up there with the angels lol. Glad you reacted to this one!
Used to check them out in the Connecticut rock club days before they were signed. His voice is legit, not some studio trickery. They went by the name "Red Alert', why back when......
Yea I requested this! Miljenko Matijevic is the legendary singer who sang all the songs for the movie Rock Star with Mark Wahlberg. React to “She’ Gone” it’s out there a live performance. Milijenko almost died. An improperly secured lighting truss fell on his head while playing live breaking his nose, cheekbone, jaw, and twisted his spine. He was rushed to a hospital and sadly Steelheart, for all intents and purposes, ended that night.
Riley's Retirement-Road The singing voice for Wahlberg's character was provided by Steelheart frontman Miljenko Matijevic for the Steel Dragon Songs, and the final number was sung by Brian Vander Ark of The Verve Pipe. Jeff Scott Soto (of Talisman, Yngwie Malmsteen, Soul SirkUS, and Journey) provided the voice of the Jason Flemyng's character Bobby Beers. Ralph Saenz (Steel Panther) also appears briefly, as the singer auditioning ahead of Chris at the studio.
I have to tell you, you're knocking it out of the park tonight. My favorite band's Rush, this song right here as long been my favorite power ballad, and I even like Night Ranger and Grand Funk Railroad, too. Love watching somebody become a first-time listener to the music that has long moved me. I might as well toss a request: Queensryche is a progressive metal band with a lead singer, Geoff Tate, who might be the best in the genre. Many reactors have taken on "Take Hold of the Flame" and "Silent Lucidity: and they're terrific, but I recommend the entire album, "Operation Mindcrime." It's a metal opera that was mindblowing at the time and that remains relevant today. You won't regret it … Also, honestly, I enjoy the thoughtfulness of your reactions (like the comment about Rush enjoying playing together; check out "Dinner with Rush" and you can watch them eat together) as well as your musical knowledge, recognizing different instruments, cord progressions, etc. It's great stuff man. Thanks for doing it.
That is the great Chuck Rainey on bass. Played for Aretha Franklin for decades. That cat is awesome. Also Steve Kahn on guitar. Played with Billy Joel on the track big shot.

giggles..."Probably" my butt. You could never sing like that. :-) Get real...Few can (100 people+ on Earth?). He expresses much Opera Symphony quality. I'm quite aware of das discipline. I've played Violin since age 8 und Cello at age 10 performing many symphony in many countries. Miljenko ist exceptional. :-) Auf Wiedersehen
Jay, If you dig high pitched rock singers like this and Geddy Lee of RUSH you gotta check out the band Triumph. Start with Fight the Good Fight.... Am I wrong commenters???

Lana Martin and don’t forget Miles Kennedy as Thor in that epic duet!
1:29 "He got a smooth voice"
1:50 "👀 OK"

I bought the album when it first came out. I was 22 years old. Great times ⏲️
Don't close your eye! By Kix.
Today's musicians and singers need to step it up.
This poor singers career abruptly ended as soon as it started. He was on stage and the lighting fell on his head almost killing him.
I've never heard of this band. Guess my rock station never played them.

No argument from me! Lay It on the Line and Magic Power are also up there... but that 1983 US Festival performance is insane. Rik was on fire!
@@white_wolf2112 The US festival was incredible. What a line-up!!!
I can tell you are a musician, right?

Familiarize yourself with vocal expression and or terminology prior to posting opinions please.
