Sometimes, I am crippled and eclipsed by the self-doubt that perhaps I am as obtuse as a tortoise's gait but when I watch your candid videos in which you put forth herculean efforts and overzealous energy then it just makes me little reckless and jittery and inspires me to be a tenacious and adamant mason who is just going to build the house of English no matter what and this time I am not being facetious and I hope you keep injecting us with the vaccines of your healing smile and candid teaching.... ❤❤❤

In many British dialects the 't' in "obtuse" is pronounced the same as in "Tuesday", which sounds the same as "choose day".

Yes, British English is absolutely from U.S. In the United States, most natives are taught multiple ways to pronounce the letter T. Sometimes T sounds like a D; sometimes it is not pronounced at all. It is claimed by educated speakers of English in the U.S. speech is smoothed out when we apply the multiple ways to pronounce T.

My fellow wordsmith: Nicely done especially for novices. I speed read the dictionary for fun🗣👍🏼... pet peeve is having to define & provide examples (you deserve a medal for teaching skills). I try but can’t relate to dim-witted individuals. I am just being candid about my love of language. It’s my bag! Lol. .if only my aptitude for mathematics would follow suit! 👩🏻‍🎓🧮💱

Hello! Thank you so much for your content it's amazing! Just asking for one favor, could you please specify the "level of advance" that this applies? I mean if these are considered as C1 or C2, since I'm learning for a business environment and we have to pass test and all that, so it would be so helpful! Thank you again!!

Glad you enjoyed the lesson. Some of them may be C2, but they are advanced, which means they're not used in everyday conversation. They're more suited for being precise in certain situations. 👍
