Hello! Just a memory about thread snips. I use a pair that belonged to my grandmother. She used them when working and they have her name engraved. She died 35 years ago and they came to me. One of my most cherished tools. Have a fabulous today!!

Whenever my scissors have gone dull, I take them in for sharpening. Most knife makers or shops will also sharpen scissors. My kids over the years dulled my scissors and even locking them up hasn't worked. They always use mine. Well now they are adults but.... Still...
I find specialty feet to be something that is essential. I use rolled hem feet, piping foot and the blind hem foot the most. Plus you can buy them for industrial machines.
I prefer to use art pencils of various colors for my marking. It washes off easily and yet doesn't rub off either.

Make sure to check the accuracy of your sewing measuring tape occasionally, as they can stretch out over time.

I like your list, and I agree heartily about the fabric shears and measuring equipment. My shears are over 40 years old and only now will they not cut quite to the tip on very heavy fabrics like canvas. I still make do with my household iron, but for years I've searched out those that are as heavy as possible and will produce steam at lower temperatures. It's time for a boiler-type iron like yours.
I also bought, after waiting too long and becoming frustrated with uncomfortable metal thimbles and sharps, a leather tailor's thimble and a pack of size 8 betweens. For close to 40 years now I haven't used anything else for hand sewing, even basting. I've needed a needle size smaller or larger than size 8 only rarely.
Marking tools are a good purchase, too. I have a fine-toothed tracing wheel that is securely mounted (no wobbling) and works well both for fabrics that can take tracing paper and those that cannot (it just leaves a slight dotted line that presses out right away).

I would like to try the leather thimble sometime in the future, too - while I like my current metal one, I suspect that leather one might be even better🤗

@@Julija_Gobere I wear it on the middle finger of my sewing hand with the thimble seam running over my fingernail and under; the seam is not on the side of my finger. The reinforced side of the thimble is towards me, and I use it to push the end of the needle through the fabric. With a little practice you'll be able to place the stitch in the fabric with your thumb and forefinger, let go of the needle, push the end, and grab the needle again in one smooth movement.

Clips are 100 times better than pins. Still hit a few places where you need the pins, but not often.

I was hoping you gave information about your gray mat which I believe you can iron on? What brand is it? Thanks for the short, to the point video 😊

Still hate ironing! Maybe the reason, why I avoid using Vlieseline! 😅

I only iron when I sew. It's a one-time thing, and the results are worth it.

I love your videos, so I thought I'd help. Your English is amazing, but just so you know, snaps and snips are two different things. Snaps help close openings in fabric. In the word, snips, the "I" is pronounced the same as in the words, slip, hip, or lip.

I was so 100% sure about that word, that I only realised my mistake after I filmed the video and wanted to include a link to the product🤦‍♀️😅 Whoops! But now I know🤗

Your need to correct her English was both rude and condescending. You and everyone else knew what she meant (it popped up on the screen). The audacity! So glad she is more gracious than you are!!!

@@alleykatt6110 I can see your point. But, it's also possible that the person was being helpful, not condescending. I read nothing negative into it.

@@sherrillsturm7240 Maybe. But there was still no reason to correct her since she had already caught the mistake herself. Sometimes people just like to be right even if it comes off as rude!
