Was this made before "iProperties" were introduced, if not, wouldn't it be a lot more efficient to use iProperties and create a template for all future drawings. What you did works but it a bit of a dirty work around haha.
For .idw to .pdf - go to "save copy as" and save a copy as .pdf. It's even easier than AutoCAD. Before I was saving a .dwg from .idw, opening AutoCAD and printing to pdf. This took a long time. Now it's a lot easier.
what the?? this is manual editing?? you should explain it using iProperties. I stuck when I want to change the iProperties after deleting the existing field and make the new one.. damn..
This is not the way to do it. Inventor is meant to automate this process. Now Inventor doesn't make that easy and it has a tendency to sulk and not fill in information from the slots you expect. And Inventor is also a work in progress so not all the features you might expect to be there are implemented. But teaching students to do it this way...
This in not heplful at all. Instead of creating or actually developing a title block he he just destroys a few automatic fields and calls it "customizing". Just google a bit and you'll find half a dozen videos where it is done right.
Hi 2021 :D
THANK YOU SO MUCH, before i was just drawing in text boxes, this looks so much better

WRONG!!!! You would use iProperties (File > iProperties) to edit these text boxes.
God I've been doing that for so long and my brain blanked and I just forgot how to do it. Thanks for having the answer unlike these youtube videos!
Thanks Bud!
You make the changes in the iProperties. You just must connect the fields. That´s how it works.
No information is better than a false information.

Thank You
Oh so you know how it works? Why don't YOU make a video then??
Better to not do it all than do it wrong.

Do you know how Inventor really works? nice try but is useless
This is so wrong. You have no idea how it works.
