Im the type of person that enjoy being surrounded by Ppl that work on their Cars And are not just Rep V8 And all i rather just make it run good And clean mods. New here in CA in the city i live in are some car clubs new Mustang, Charger, Challenger or trucks. Just cant pull up in a 4 cylinder lol
I had a similar problem and the solution for me was adjusting the throttle cable from the point when it's idling at 1500. In other words rev up the engine, let it come back down to 1500 where it stops. Don't pull up the pedal, then adjust the throttle cable down to 800 from that point. Then as long as you don't pull up on your pedal it should always come back down to 800 and not bog down or stall out
When u said you have to put your foot behind the pedal. Sounds like your throttle cable loose. And has play it have to be Adjusted. Or replaced if its has to much play.
NightHawk J30 the cable seems fine.. I’ve checked the idle with the cable disconnected, and I get the same issue of the throttle not fully closing.. I even checked if the transmission cable was hanging it up, nope... I can probably loosen the throttle bolt on the site, to help it return fully closed
I get that but only when I'm driving the car drives good but once I give it every it freaks out and stays at 1500 rpms I wanna say its the springfor the throttle
Yeah those bolts suck!! I’m going to pick up some of those bolts from the junkyard along with some other stuff.. I have a fresh fuel filter ready to go, so I’ll install the bolts, the new filter and the nicer fuel line soon 👍 and thanks man!

And the you changed with the old one, an it was better, I think that's the part that I have to change on mine! The one I got it makes the idle go up 3000 rpm after driving it for a little bit! Hey what’s up man, it’s called the Throttle DashPot, part number 16044PM5A01 Take yours off by unscrewing the two screws, then start the car and see how it idles.. mine was causing the throttle to stick making the idle high
Hey man i have a question i have a civic 91 dx and tht red hose on min 1:56 on my car its disconnected from the black tank idk whats called and everytime I drive smells gas hella bad i replace fuel Filter gas tank cap and fuel pump and still have tht problem my civic consumes to mutch gas 😢

Vaios Kaliakoudas If you pull down the passenger side carpet, you’ll see the ECU, if there are any fault codes, the ECU will flash a little LED light.. the number of flashes will tell you a specific code.. you can search online which number of flashes mean
Vaios Kaliakoudas remove passenger carpet just pull it back by where feet go. You'll see a panel and there is a small hole where you will see a booking red light when you turn key to on position. Light will blink once when you turn key to on position. Count the times the light blinks. After a pause it will Begin to blink for another code. I did this to my 91 Civic sedan
No it’s completely different, this throttle body is dual point fuel injection(only 2 fuel injectors), where as the 6th gen civic is vertical and similar but had 4 injectors in the manifold
I will never will change such duel point to drive around or highway drives gas mileage and power is gd and if you want a little more power alluminum pulley and lighter flywheel and gd clutch and performance air filter is that simple and a nice free flow exhaust system and a header or a better intake manifold and she put gd in city and highways you can even go 0.5 over in pistons nice head job and bigger valves and that duel point become a lot better response plus you gas mileage will be better and power be increased a lots people are wrong when come to play so limit is 70 and that duel point will do 135 or 140 easy in 5 gear all is about reality if you want to fly put a 225 hp k20 in it but never will feel the same I like better the 1.5 duel point to drive and have fun with it in the highways and city and believe me I have a crx and with the duel point I make the big boy get mad😁 with thousands dollars motors when come to high speed I'm there when come to city I eat them alive side walk and ally she love the city cutting and jumping sides to sides believe me is a Rican thing like I said that duel point will little more compression work better then turbo when come to response real simple amigo the rest is waste of time and money from gas to everything else

The CRX has always been one of my favorite cars. If i had room to put another toy, it would definitely be a clean CRX.

Also to help remove the Hoses without damage and make them easier is to use silicone spray.

DPFI TPS is backwards from MPFI. The DPFI are harder to find. I have a spare i will never need.
Those fuel filter bolts suck, the ones from I think 86-89 accord are easier to remove.

Yep sticky throttle plate. Check those vacuum pods on the throttle body. They definitely cause high idle issues
