I am! Though the best version of Jonny Quest will always be the original 60's cartoon but the 90's was the second golden age of animation imho. Batman The Animated Series, Superman The Animated Series, Dexter's Lab, The Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Pinky and The Brain, The Animaniacs, Batman Beyond etc. so many gems came from this period that will not ever be successfully repeated.
Warner Brothers all caught up with DCU, they forget that they're sitting on a mountain of Gold with a live action Johnny Quest franchise.

@@MrOneofthousands1994 How so? the name Hadji is quite common, if you mean it being used as a slur, then its more of an American problem.
Edit: Hadji is a great character! He's sorta like Johnny's spiritual guide and a calm juxtaposition to his wild character.
@@Shady36 That's all well and good, but there would absolutely be people crying "racism" about such a depiction of an Indian character in the 21st century. They'd have to change the character up from what he was in the original show, is what I'm saying.
It's 2022. I'm 35 years old now. This opening theme still brings me nostalgia and pure adrenaline ! Has to be the best opening theme song of Cartoon Network...

I had a traumatic childhood and one of the rare moments that gave me peace was watching Jonny Quest. To date, this intro gives me courage.
Me too had many traumatic experiences growing up. But cartoon network was a escape for me in school holidays.

The score for this intro is *INSANELY* good. Makes me wish they turned it into a big movie franchise just to get something like this on the big screen.
The score arrangement was ahead of its time and is ever more timeless today.

This theme song is genius. Notice how it hits all the beats of an adventure, in order - build up/excitement, action, wonderment, danger and then finally victory/growth at the end.

The intro editing’s well timed too. The way they timed the cymbal crash with Jonny crashing through the window and the shot going through the holographic canyon was brilliant.
The single greatest 90s cartoon theme song of them all. That ain't an easy feat .

Probably one of the most epic theme songs for any show ever. Criminally underrated and ahead of its time. The show was an elite one too. Those opening drums and the orchestral flourish at the start... Chills and butterflies

Reading the comments, I realise how widespread the attachment for this music is among 90s kids. I never felt confident as a child; I always felt lacking in something or the other. But this music, particularly the part from 0:28, filled me with hope and confidence. For a fleeting moment, I would feel I am equal to any other child on the planet; that there is nothing I can't achieve in life. Even after 25 years, I feel the same way listening to this track. Music is magic.
School was full of bully and self-depreciation back then, and this show quite pump you up in many ways, including enhance your imagination.
A very futuristic cartoon show...way ahead of its time....the quest world shown in this show is what we call metaverse today.an absolute masterpiece.
No one realized how realistic it is, Quest world is an idea that preceeded today VR, Metalverse, social media, and augmented reality. It's even kinda teaange version of The Matrix as well (which was released a few years after this show).

the composing and orchestrating the music for The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest was done by Guy Moon. the same man who did the music for The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, and more recently, Tak and the Power of Juju (theme music and three episodes only), Big Time Rush, T.U.F.F. Puppy, Lego Batman, and Back at the Barnyard. and much more for movies and tv shows.

For fans of Johnny Quest, I'd recommend DC Comics' Future Quest that recently started. It's a big shared universe of classic Hannah Barbera stuff and has Johnny Quest and Padji as the main characters. Plus it's really well done! Worth a read.

OMG... the other day i could not get this outta my head...33 years now and I still accurately remember the music of the opening scene. This was my favorite cartoon.
Almost 25 years later and this intro still brings me back to my old room as I was watching it in the evening. One of the best intros from the peak of Cartoon Network history. And like many others in the comments I get chills to this day
I sometimes feel that these awesome intros were deliberately made, so that kids would watch in anticipation of something epic happening in the show even though the show budget is less than their high school lunch

I'm thinking of collecting some "Johnny Quest", ever since seeing footage of this while playing Nostalgia Critic's "Toonami" review and seeing the intro on "Retro Crush's" 90's Cartoon Intro Montage, I've had a hankering to see this series again.

I loved watching my dad's old Hanna Barbera Jonny Quest cartoons when I was little. Then when JQ returned in 1996 I LOVED watching it amd saw almost every episode. My dad also loved watching New JQ episodes. I miss quality animation and stories like this

I miss 90's cartoons. Outside of DC's animated series and Swat Kats to name a few, Johnny Quest had some of the most iconic villains for me. Ezekiel Rage, Dr. Zin, and Jeremiah Surd are among the most memorable villains I've ever come to know.

Reason I say this is bc I’m 62 & MY memory of Johnny Quest is from the original in the 60’s. One of my favorite cartoons and theme songs. I wish they’d make a live version w todays movie making capabilities. I think that would be cool.
