Believed to be the most beautiful trek of Bharat, Kashmir Great lakes trek is a masterpiece of pristine beauty that unfolds like a vivid painting in the heart of the Himalayas. Also known as seven lakes trek or Sonamrag - Vishansar - Naranag trek, this trek offers an experience that transcends words, painting a portrait of beauty that can only be truly appreciated by those fortunate enough to venture into its embrace. Starting from Sonamarg, Kashmir, this trek show cases the nature in its most divine form over the course of roughly 75 kilometers. KGL is a six day trek that lets you experience the wilderness of Kashmir in its purest essence. Emerald lakes, rugged mountains, carpets of crimson rhododendrons, jagged silhouettes, melting glaciers, cascading waterfalls , alpenglow sunsets and stars shimmering like diamonds in the night sky, the trek has it all. Kashmir Great lakes trek is the standing testament to the beauty of nature and truly described as greater than life experience.

I went on 24th september 2023 but due to heavy snowfall we returned from nichnai campsite 😔, but the lakes and stars is keeping me up to do the trek again next year

Decathlon trekking boots 100, these are great for water proofing and robustness but while walking on the wet rocks, these are extremely slippery.
