Basically: when Taylor was 16 and made her first album, she signed a record deal with Scooter Braun and his company so that he would produce her music. Right before Lover was released, Scooter cut ties with Taylor and “stole” the rights to her music, then sold them to another company so Taylor couldn’t legally play and have the rights to her first 6 albums. So, she released “Taylor’s Version”s of her music so that she would have the rights to them, so the ones that she re-recorded and owns are called “Taylor’s Version” and the ones that were stolen by Scooter Braun are called “Stolen Versions”.
