Kevin, it cracks me up how you talk about the positions on the guitar the same way I understand them. "And uh, a D... Which isn't a D". You guys rock, keep slaying the game 🤘
Kevin you and Neil have inspired me to play the guitar. You guys are my all time favorite band. I started listening to you guys while deployed to Iraq in 2009. And I missed your concert with Rise Against in houston texas when we got back because I had to be at work early and the drive from Killeen was 3.5 hours. Can't wait for the new stuff.. love you guys.. keep it up
I got to see you guys in 2018 and immediately fell in love. My friends and I have covered a bunch your guys’ stuff and I wish more bands would do more guitar tutorials
Been digging what Kevins been doing since he joined the band with bad vibrations, their new singles and alot of stuff from Common Courtesy. Adding more melodic and creative leads. Something I think ADTR needed. Keep it up bro.
This is awesome. I've been in love with this song since I heard yall play it in concert in philly. Keep it up man, always great to see how it's actually played from the band members themselves
Just heard the song yesterday and immediately loved it. Then this video came up today, this is a day to remember indeed 😂. That intro is golden and overall awesome song 💯
Jason LovesABR It’s not ridiculous to want an artist to stay true to themselves and it’s also not ridiculous to want them to grow. HOWEVER if they started fuckin hardcore shredding one day it would be weird of course because we aren’t used to that from them. I’m not gonna sit here and hope they start shredding alot either because for starters that’s out of character and secondly it’s up to them and whether they could pull it off. The only people that are part of the problem are the ones that attack others for what they like and attack the band itself because they don’t like what they evolved into.
@@PocketTuna Lol sorry I don't like what they've become. They had some decent cuts from the last 2 albums and they've had a fair share of great softer hits before but NONE of these new songs really hit me in any type of way. Just look at a band like Senses Fail, for example. They started out simply by being an emo band, evolved more into post-hardcore by Life Is Not A Waiting Room/The Fire, then the next 2 albums Renacer and Pull The Thorns From Your Heart they went full on metalcore/hardcore. It was crazy for sure but for fans like me I fucking loved that. Not a fan of the new album at all though but let's be real here, ADTR were always a mix of both genres so I wouldn't say that shredding a bit isn't that out of this world. I'm not talking prog metal level skills per say but give us some tasty Killswitch Engage/August Burns Red/Every Time I Die/Norma Jean early 2000's type of riffs....
This is so awesome especially for me as a new fan (saw you all on tour in Fayetteville, NC in November) who wants to learn your songs lol. Please do this more 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Rocksmith 2014 will be your friend, they have several a day to remember songs on there and it shows it in tab form. It's how I learned several ADTR songs
I'm not much of a guitar player, but I would definitely like to see more of these videos. Maybe some from each of the band members together. For me as a huge fan, it helps me feel more connected to the band.
Can Kevin do one of these for the backup guitar in I'm Already Gone? Brother and I are trying to play it together but can't find sheet music for the second guitar
Holy shit, please do this for other tracks in the back-catalog. I literally take ADTR tracks into Audacity trying the vocal/centre channel removal/isolation filters, slowing it down, all that stuff to try and figure out Kevin's guitar parts 1:1. I would die for one of these for Sometimes You're The Hammer, Sometimes You're The Nail.
To name a few... Drop A#: Mr Highways Thinking About The End, Sticks & Bricks, Violence [Enough Is Enough] Drop B: Better Off This Way, 2nd Sucks, This Is The House That Doubt Built Drop C#: It's Complicated
If you could show how to properly play the lead on Holdin’ It Down For The Underground that’d be wayyy awesome. The internet is wrong and I can’t figure it out!!
Finally a proper tutorial. I hate when tutorials just tell you the notes. Kinda pretentious. All you need to know is the tuning the string and the fret. It’s more simple that way and easier to learn.
More of these please, across the whole discography
Love it!!!
Riiiiiiight
THAT'D BE AMAZING DOOD
I realize I am kinda off topic but does anyone know a good place to watch newly released movies online ?
@Arturo Patrick i use Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
Thanks for watching. Now let's see your cover videos!
Thanks for these types of video guys! That's why we love you!🖤
check out my version, its a little bit adapted. Stay safe and take care!

I’ll start working on it ! Already covered you guys twice haha
Cracks
He’s playing on a Orange amp?
Dude, please do this more often. I'm not even a guitar player! But this makes the songs more loveable. Don't know why.
I play the geetar but I’m watching it at night so I don’t wanna wake no one up and this is hard
Kevin, it cracks me up how you talk about the positions on the guitar the same way I understand them. "And uh, a D... Which isn't a D". You guys rock, keep slaying the game 🤘
This is why these guys are amazing, their content and engagement with fans is amazing
Alexander Maue for doing one tutorial after many years? Jaja dont be stupid
@@leunamcano Check Neil's livestream.. he does this weekly. So good
This is the most down to earth, human, guitar tutorial I think I've ever watched. Thanks for the lesson. I'm definitely learning this tomorrow
YO THIS IS LIT PLEASE DO MORE, I would love to see a breakdown like this for more songs. Love you Kevin haha
Clean beard bro. Love u guys since middle school and forever.
Was middle school 2020?
@@reselling4life31 I'm 27. Soooo... ha

“Clean beard”. ADTR fans are such dweebs.
@@newthrash1221 it's a compliment. Get over yourself
Yep, now you’ve done this and got our attention; you have to teach every song. Well done.
Love the "Underøath Chord" part hahaha

that intro lick gives me that Van Halen "Ain't Talkin Bout Love" vibe. Sick ass tutorial and track guys!
I always wondered what type of music musicians listen to outside of their own stuff. Love the Underoath reference.

Love this song! Learning bass guitar to it! Definitely one of my favorites and huge fan of the band!
Thank you for being entertaining in this video also, Kevin! More vids like this would definitely be dope
This is awesome. I've been in love with this song since I heard yall play it in concert in philly. Keep it up man, always great to see how it's actually played from the band members themselves

ADTR forever!!!
Oh my God, Kevin! Thank you from Russia!
Would love more tutorials from you guys! AWESOME! :)
Yes! More of this please. Loving the new song, cover coming shortly!
Hope we get more of these type of videos, rock on Kevin
Been trynna learn this since the first day I've heard it thank u ADTR and Kevin Love ya !
It’s so cool you’re doing this!!! Thank you !!
I always refer to those chords and the classic 9-6 dissonance chord as UnderØath chords. They will always be such an integral part of the scene! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Kevin doing subtle sweeps at the end, better have that type of shredding on You’re Welcome🤘🏻💥
One can only hope..
I really hope there’s no serious shred, then it might be too far a departure from ADTR imo. Simple solos, sure, but nah, no shred.
@@mckinnonwolf7877 That is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read. So you don't want them to grow as musicians? You're part of the problem.
