What did you think of "Dune: Part Two?"
Think what? The general public has yet to see the movie. Thanks.
@@Ninja_Champagne A lot has. It was released in iMax yesterday. Great movie!
It was so freaking good. I loved it and really want to see Villenuve do one more installment
Just seen a private showing of it tonight and its the most intense film of the 2020's so far. Surpasses Oppenheimer, its a masterpiece that i will watch 1000x ! Nothing like it has ever been created I felt, I read the book but this vision Denis Villeneuve made goes beyond film and theater !
This will hit your heart, imagination and soul I promise ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
MEH!
This performance truly turned Austin Butler into Austin Landlord 👏
This is good lmao
Bro what 😅
or Austin powers...maybe dr evil
One Meelion Sandworms
More like Sandlord
This made my bones hurt
The Giedi Prime scenes were shot in infra-red.
Perfect way to mess with our eyes and mind
Yeah. That gives you insanely good looking black and whites. Turns clear blue skies pitchblack.
In the movie, it was actual planet's atmosphere that gave such special light reflection fx.

1:54 Denis’ dedication is insane for not going the easy way, but instead filming in an actual desert, he really loves what he does. Forever one of my favorite directors.
Cant wait to watch Dune part 2
Dune Part 2 is a movie that I will pay to go see it in a movie theater. You really need the big screen & the surround sound to feel the whole experience of a movie like that.
IMAX is the way it should be
I just came out of the Imax showing and you're totally right
Just saw it today and it was absolutely amazing 😃 I really can recommend it ❤
I saw it in imax and it was so good
Just saw it in IMAX, and this might be the best sound design of any IMAX screening I've experienced. I say experienced as opposed to heard because you can feel it in your body at all the right moments.
If u pass out from a movie scene there is something wrong with you
The video talks about the cast and crew passing out from heat exhaustion while filming. What did you mean about them having something wrong with them?
No one passed out yesterday in iMax when we saw it.
Tbh the title did sound like they was talking about the audience not the actors!
Facts
When you don't watch the video, but read the title.😄
His visuals are out of this world!
I didn’t expect the black and white section once we meet Feyd, but I loved that. It makes visual sense considering the black clothes and pale skin of the Harkonnen and the Sardukar of Giedi Prime. Plus it makes the duel more visceral
It's in infrared actually. Hence the weird skin tones.
@@wodan74 wdym red. It's clearly black n white
@@hulking_presence infra red is the wave length (not visible to human eye) that is registered by special cameras, but here represented in the black and white spectrum. You can convert IR also to color, but that gives a much different look.
@@wodan74 dude, IT LOOKS black & white. Infra-red may be the TECH behind it, but it LOOKS b&w.
This is what happens when true fans make movies. What an absolute masterpiece.
Disney should take some notes
Did you watch it ?
Dude that movie is so well done. I got to see it this past weekend in the cinema.
This is what happens when skilled screen writers, film makers & actors are true fans! Especially when they don’t let executives from the studio interfere with their own bs.
@@sharksbean movie is trash.
Just watched Dune 2 and the final fight scene was absolutely phenomenal!!! It will be very hard for movies this year to beat what this movie did. This is a 10/10 movie.
I agree, the previous movies didn't have the same weight to the ending scene. The birthday fight gave the ending fight weight and intensity. Even for myself that read the book, I truly felt as though this fight had some natural consequence for Paul.
Hi from Scotland saw Part 2 2 days ago on a Imax screen and now i just want to see it again , i read the 1st 3 books 40yrs ago and was looking forward to part 1 and that was a great movie but part 2 is a Sci-Fi CLASSIC best sci-fi movie since the 1st Matrix and up there with some real classics like 2001 etc and it should clear up at the awards .
The final fight scene was too short imo. But it was really good. Needed another 45 seconds at least.
@@TruLuannah, it made it more real. Real life fights are short. By Hollywood fights go in for hours
@@TruLuanI haven’t seen the movie yet, but I’ve read the book - in the book, they only clash like three times in quick exchanges of attacks/parries, but it’s drawn out because Paul is narrating his strategy in his head the whole time. I’m really curious to watch it now, to see how they portray it.

I like it, but it doesn't overperform Oppenheimer in any way possible; Oppenheimer is more deep and well done without any action, only interaction between characters and their point of view about the bomb and its use
It was everything Oppenheimer denied me
Not seen part one? Madness. I've watched over 15 times, it's so beautiful.
when he opens his mouth and screams in the trailer he looks just like the creatures in the will smith movie I am legend
Indeed
The props, the scenes bringing it all to live … a masterpiece! Not too mention the talent of the stunningly handsome and beautiful characters … just Beautiful!
This young man has become a great actor. The first time I remember seeing him was
“Once upon a time in Hollywood”, Elvis he was incredible and I can’t wait to see Dune 2.
The scene wasn´t shot in black and white. It was shot in infrared.
Do you know with which camera ?
It reminded me of the night vision shots in zone of interest where the little girl was laying out apples for the concentration camp victims.
I Just saw Dune ll today! It's So well done ! The acting, direction, and cast are just superb ! I read the books when I was a kid.... and watching this movie,( both 1 and 2) you realize that Denis Villeneuve was, and is a true fan. ❤❤❤👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
I'm so glad it actually stuck with the moral ambiguity of the Kwisatz Haderach and fostering fanaticism. I'm looking forward to how Messiah continues that thread.
Perhaps you need to read the books again
This was the best 15-20 minutes of cinema I’ve seen in YEARS ⚫️⚪️
Denis's ability to translate and condense the book into a film without sacrificing the vision and lore that Frank Herbert gave us half a century ago... it's truly astonishing. This is what a loving adaptation looks like
I really hope we get a full Cinematic Duniverse!
Nah. Once it becomes a money grap, it will lose its soul and every aspect will suffer in turn. A la Marvel phase 4 and 5. They could literally kill the sci-fi genre for a decade.
Idk if you can make Children of Dune digestible for massive audiences
we actually kinda got it .... Dune Part 1 & 2 \ Dune Messiah \ Dune Prophecy
As Computer TDOS, that Dune 2 Popcorn Bucket sure is something…
THE RUN TIME nearly made me PASS OUT.
Iv never been to see a film in the cinema twice.
Until Dune 2
Masterpiece 👏👏👏🎬

Was an epic Movie !!! Austin really knocked it out of the Park in this movie !!
This looks like pretty good movie.Austin seems perfect for the role. I didn't see either Dune.Mom and dad watched first. They said it's excellent!
Austin really sounds a lot like Brolin. They should do more together
He really surprised me in this
Just watched it today. It's very very good.
Colosally better than the Avengers
Completely random lol, what do either of those films have to do with each other?
People toss the word "visionary" around a little too often, but I think Denis Villeneuve 100% deserves the title. Refusing to compromise on your vision so the world can have truly great movies instead of generic, disposable, forgettable blockbuster schlock. Thank you, Denis.
Looking forward to this movie release
I have watched … no words…great work of actors! visual effects! I’m going to watch it again 💯
This entire scene would’ve been even better if I was stoned watching it
Infrared sunlight...very good depiction of the brutality of Geidi Prime, visually.
He absolutely killed that role another thing that nobody mentions that I really liked is how he had the same accent as the Baron Harkonnen
That right there really confused me, and had me thinking Stellan had a son playing Feyd Rautha. Otherwise, I’m not sure if he learned Stellan’s accent or some computer trickery was used, like they did in Top Gun: Maverick for Val Kilmer.
@@TJ042 I heard Austin saying in an interview that it was his creative choice to mimick Stellan's voice
Loved the 1984 Dune
Genuinely think these new dune movies are lord of the rings-tier awesome. So cool that someone finally was able to do these books some justice
masterpiece
so this is Sting?
Yeah, same character
He would make a great joker for the new Batman or Mr freeze 😂
that WAS the scene i chose to go out for a second round of pop corn because i couldnt watch it…
I mean the way the story was loaded, it would make the second movie more of a stand alone movie very easily lol
I loved the scenes of Geidi Prime, it was so perfectly dystopiate
Somereason when he started smiling during the fight he looked like eddie van halen, when he performs eruption
Don’t appreciate the click-bait title. The subject material does just fine selling itself.
Feyd-Rautha in this movie partially reminds me of Victor Zsasz from Batman
No is passing out during a movie scene lmfao
You definitely aren't aware of some movies that are out there lmao
Best Picture of 2024
Looking forward to dune part 2.🔥🔥
Who tf is gonna pass out from watching a movie scene ...ive seen real life videos of peopke getting chopped up,this is baby work
no one is passing out from the scene, but the heat, what a sad title
I wonder what Floridians are going to think about the movie considering they banned the Dune books
wait what?! I’m not surprised, but whyyyy!! oh whyy!
@@michellele9972probably due to the word Jihad or the Baron Harkonen’s Pedophile tendencies
@@michellele9972 Trump loves the uneducated.
I think Collier county School district banning the books from their school library didn't effect most Floridians. Do better
I even thought if Austin portrayed Paul - it s gonna be great in different flavor to Tim’s
Dune 2 was sick gonna watch it again in imax before it goes away
1:04 absolutely unacceptable.
No doubt this movie is a cinematic masterpiece for its commitment to the original lore and the passion of Villeneuve virtuosic style.
Seems like Austin invades Brolin's private space a little
Bro feyd is so 0pium
Part 1 was a great movie but Part 2 is a stone cold CLASSIC best sci-fi movie since The Matrix
The scene was shot in infra-red, hence the stark images.
The colosseum scene was jaw-dropping.
Agree
Am I the only one who thought he looked like Lucas hedges in the black & white scenes?
I passed out because of how hard I got mogged
Oh my, Zendaya's Dress :O
Just saw it…..wow. Dune 2 was a masterpiece. The gladiator arena scene made me chirp like a bird.
Sting played that role in the old movie, did he not?
Yes :)
With winged underwear!
I only felt a lot of gas passing
110 Degrees? Come to south Texas.
I was enjoying the video and then.... LEGS! 0:38 distracted me....
It’s a good pair of movies but somehow Lynch was able to tell a more fulfilling story that made sense in one movie. Too many questions after DUNE 2. For people that don’t know DUNE, they still don’t know DUNE.
Ever pretend so hard you pass out?
I am team “not breathing” during whole movie 😮
How do they film there without sweating. I would be passes out with wet hair sticking to my face.
Seen this twice now and still couldn't make out what he says to the atreides gladiator after killing him, any care to help a brother out?
*Gi-di prime is how it is pronounced. not ge-ie-di. It's also not spelled Geidi but Giedi.
This was my favorite scene but dear god they treated the violence like it was a PG movie. Like really, you can't show a drop of blood for a gladiator fight!?
austin butler somehow looks like bills skarsgard-
The son Between Smallville lex luthor and voldemort
Yeah I was sort of thinking about Voldemort when I saw him appear in the trailer, but not in an insulting way. He really does own the part
why we still acting like actors are the reasons why people enjoy the movies. This 2024 not 2015
tbh he was the best part of the movie for me... every time he was on screen my eyes were glued... so yeah. I'm debating whether to go again to focus more on his performance.
Nasty mad max guy🎉🎉🎉
Any proof of people passing out?
It would be good if the narrator could pronounce the title of the film...
Please tell me Sting made a cameo.
Sting's Feyd is the coolest and most stylish. Butler's is the evilest and most chilling. An imperialist mutant skinhead of demented dume!
I watched in IMAX and there's nothing exciting much, in Dune 2.
Passing out because of a scene in a movie is beyond pathetic
pass out? really,
You should probably watch the video instead of just reading the title.
I love baldness
What movie is this?
Somehow this actor is acting.
Interesting how much hype is on today Dune saga. I don't remember such in 1984 or 2003 series . And 50 years ago when Herbert wrotes his bokks debate spread only between scifi fans. But ok, Dune is more relevant now than in time because of rising messiah like politicians who like always will generate problems.
I left the cinema in this bit. Felt so awful
Gotta love hearing about celebs being trauma bonded... welcome to the military :-D
I passed out because my boyfriend decided to book seats at 10:30 pm and didn't get out untill like 1 am
Dear Zendaya, when you talk about Austin Butler "somehow" transforming from a kind person that he is into a wild psyco killer that his character is, well, that's something called "ACTING". You might try that sometime instead of just trying to look pretty, because that's really all you do, in all your movies.
oh yea because yelling and screaming and being evil is totallly the ONLY way to be a good actor. ur and idiot. i bet u love the joker so much or like ... american psycho hahahahah. zendaya is a great actor with a decent range and yea shes pretty but if u cant look past that then ur a dum dum
I've yet to see a bad version of Dune! lol. This is the weakest version of Paul, the 1980's movie being the strongest. I find the Clement guy does a great job as a weaker Maud'dib. Like the gasping in the final duel was really good. Really enjoy the differences from the source material as well. With so many versions already made it's good to have variation.
Weakest I mean in powers. Paul is like a Superhero in other versions, nigh omnipotence, psychic powers - like being able to make it rain. Basically previous versions could hold their own in a Marvel movie.
Pass out?
Is it just me or does Austin look like Jerma in this movie
Austin Butler was excellent as Feyd Rautha. He truly embraced the savagery that makes the character so terrifying in the source material. And I loved the aesthetic of black & white for his introduction on Giedi Prime
He looks tremendous, I'm sure he'll be one of the best parts of this movie
I’ll have to see, but the trailers are not really selling it very well. Honestly at first I thought Austin Butler was perfect. Die his hair black, throw some makeup under his eyes to make them sullen, and throw a costume on him. That was all that was needed. Instead he looks like powder.
@@buttface7848 he definitely is one of the best new additions to the cast. Much more book accurate and he’s not cartoonishly evil; he plays a full blown psychopath
@@AAblade7 I think it works making him kind of reptilian. He’s got the fierceness of a rattlesnake and it matches the look Stellan Skarsgard has as Baron Harkonnen (since they’re uncle and nephew)
@@AAblade7 to me he looks like a dead ringer for christian bale's gorr the godbutcher.
dude when the feyd birthday scene it almost gave me chills by looking at feyd
They shot this scene in infrared, not just in black and white. That's why it really messes up with our eyes and mind. It was an amazing scene.
Austin butler was savage.
@mrrandom1265
Interesting, Infrared was used as well?
@@thalmoragent9344yup. in contrasted everything with bright neon whites and dark blacks to give the impression of a black sun.
Nah that fucking scene was bananas. The chanting, the millions of white bald heads, the black tones, the ink blotches fireworks. What a kick ass scene
The pov shots from lady Margot’s viewfinder was cool too.
I need a few years to pass and the clip to be standalone on RUclips - this scene is a masterclass in fighting cinematography, arguably especially as a standalone item. In Herbert's vision, this is a brutal, fiercely tribalistic universe akin to a cross between Tacitus' annals and feudal Japan. I think that the delivery of the source material alongside the stunning depictions of the last of the human race vying control of a universe, while it is populated by evolutionary and culturally distinct humans, cannot be overstated despite the clumsy backronymistic parallels between Arrakis and, well, Iraq added by users on social media. It's a great book, adapted very, very well
Agreed, my jaw dropped in the theaters. The creativity of a "black sun" is wonderful
The arena scene was amazingly eerie! it kinda felt like a parallel universe mixed with hell itself.
this
exactly! you put my thoughts into words. it was one of the scariest places ive ever seen in film, and its not even a horror film.
It's a good example of how to take artistic libertiea when adapting something. They really attempted to make the film as aesthetically distict as possible without contradicting the books, and the final product was incredible.
Yes, it was a great scene! I was too scared to watch the fight; I knew those guys didn’t have a chance and Feyd Rautha and the arena were so intimidating (like a gladiator arena on steroids). The Harkonnen looked like bald pale vampires and Austin Butler killed his role! 👏 👏
@@akim2154 He sure did kill that role as Feyd. It was an amazing performance with prefect Geidi Prime realism that will last through the ages!
