    Thanks for creating this video, Michael. Your 40-year-old Defender demo looks promising. I loved watching you code in Z80 using the Bit Fiddler's Machine Language Manager cartridge (and look at your hand-written Z80 code too). For a small ML monitor that fits on a 4KB cartridge, that utility packs plenty of power for an early 1980s system that was mostly meant as a home game console. As you said, writing code in assembly language is FAR better and easier, but that cart allowed users to write short programs on their unexpanded Bally Arcade/Astrocade, which is rather amazing. Keep up the good hi-res work, you Astrocade Super User.
