I am not even from Australia, but when there is a option in a 4x4 shop or online I always go for the Aussie product, if there is not something locally made. Because Australia has such strict rules and regulations (ADR approved) that I am confident the product is of superb quality.
Hey I have the same truck as you and am going to change the steel tray floor to wood because of some bad rust .what timber did you use ? Also I have the black duck canvas seat covers in mine for 7 years they are great for anyone who gets dirty and wet and jumps on them .love your videos.
Really enjoying your vids. Some great stuff in there. Just ordered a set of deluxe cup holders for the ’90 75 ute. The timber in tray on the 75 is getting pretty beat up, what timber did you use to repair yours?
Hi building 70s I placed my order for my deluxe cup holder for my 78 series troopy .. do you know how it going?. that tracking number isn't working.. its saying invalid number.. cheers Rod
@@rodastley733 hey mate, I will pass on your message to my brother who makes the cupholders. He has been running a bit behind at the moment with production. Cheers
Love these videos mate, maybe in another video you can go with some new Aussie made led tail lights, I just recently put some Ozled taillights on my Colorado and they are second to none in quality, fully sealed and well made, would look absolutely killer on the back of your cruiser 👍
Just picked up a bonnet kit and cup holder, early chrissy present for myself ahaha. Could you do a video on the exhaust, how it sounds, how much and performance differences? cheers Mate.
Oz made as opposed to Oz owned. Oz has good aftermarket stuff we own. Many Toyota cars were made in Australia until they pulled out. I own an Oz made Toyota
Hate to tell you, you really need to drive an overseas made Toyota, I have the Camry that was made here, and it is by far the worst one made after having driven the Japanese and American made versions.
We did a video on the last battery setup which is pretty much the same setup but with a different battery location. You can check it here: ruclips.net/video/ns3y4tZpRvc/видео.html
That's a great topic. It's more important than ever now to avoid Chinese made products, the best we can. Thanks to the nasty CCP and the way they bully and are inflicting a one sided trade war on Australia, I am so happy to pay more and avoid Chinese products. GME is great quality but their hand held UHF radios are made in China. So I went ICOM for my hand held radios, because they are Japanese and I could not find Aussie made hand held radios. My draws are made by Drifta Australia which are also fantastic. I could go on and on but we get the picture.
I'm waiting on a new 79 series single cab and we will be doing the build on the channel with as much Australian made as we can. There is some great Aussie companies out there still.
@@landcruiserfan4206 We made crap cars, they weren't selling, and no other country wanted them either. Hell I am a Toyota person, and my Australian made Camry, is the worst Camry they produced out of all the factories that made them. I am glad we are finally getting the better made car. Sorry but not everything we make is good.
Just be aware, ARB have a factory in Thailand too. I believe they import as well, not sure if its possible to tell where your gear from them is made...
They are pretty sneaky most of their gear is made in china and Thailand. Initially the products are designed and made here but then mass produced overseas.
Be careful you make the distinction between Australian made, Australian assembled, and Australian owned. Many Australian companies actually manufacture in China or another cheap labour country. Check the label for country of manufacture.
Yeah i only tried to cover the products that are made in Australia. But thats a good video topic to dive into, not many people understand the difference between Aus made/assembled/owned.
The problem is, most people cannot grasp the real reason Aussie made has been dying. Yes you might point to some products that are good, but overall Aussie made is crap, we lost our textile industry, car industry, aerospace manufacturing etc, because the overseas products were superior and cheaper. My Camry is a great example, go drive any overseas made one and you would never in your life choose the Aussie made one. Don't buy Aussie just because it is Aussie, buy the superior one for your needs and price.
Dear Matthew, Australia has lost its manufacturing base because successive governments have abolished import tariffs on cheap imported goods hence our manufacturers could not compete and so they go out of business. Your statement is fundamentally untrue and incorrect. Australian made products, what's left of them, are generally superior and well made. The only crap thing here is your silly comment.

Time for the Australian government to start manufacturing cars in Australia... No chance of that happening under an LNP gov,,,
