My friend always wanted me to borrow his Gibson les Paul on stage, and I didn't want to hurt his feelings telling him that I hated playing that bulky hunk of wood. I got my self a Solo 6 Custom and it plays like a dream , even though I got it for a fraction of what a Gibson would have set me back. My friend hates to admit that my solo 6 feels better.
@Robertspurling The C-1 Custom seems to suit my needs. I'm good with either 24.75" or 25.5", but I've always wanted 24 medium frets. I can't stand jumbos and it sucks that most medium fret guitars only come with 22 frets.

Schecter deserves a lot more publicity. Well made guitars that play good and look good at a reasonable price.

Does the Schecter C-1 Custom hum like a regular single coil when coil-taped and overdrive?
@shmiggy88 how's the neck on the schecter? is it thin like esp/ltd and ibanez or is it thick like gibson?
Which is the best for blues and soft rock music..I think it is solo6 type?
does the coil tape work on both pickups?
