As for the books it's disgusting that they are in the bin they should 100% be getting recycled. Also Glad you liked my Biscuits and gravy lol apart from adding 55g of salt instead of the 5.5g that it should of been everything went well and it was fun to do. Hi Alan, Hope you're well ☺️ Thank you, We do try our best With the resources that we have. It is really rewarding, especially when we donate to the little independent charity shop or give away. It's lovely to know that we have helped the environment in a small way and maybe helped others by doing so. Unfortunately we have a small property and don't drive so we are limited to what we can take. We used to take everything but our home was filled to the brim and we cannot live that way, so we have to be sensible. It's a shame that a lot of places don't even want donations of dvds, cds or books anymore either and they would of been so heavy to carry even if we had the space. As Martyn from DDUK have said to the police, it's not illegal to dumpster diving and once the things are in the dumpster it does not belong to the shop

If people realised that the charity shops throw things away. If they don't sell clothes and books, they can be donated to the recycling companies. Clothes rag trade

Why can’t charities n shops just sell odd bits etc for 10p - would all be taken away fast! A friend used to work on bin lorry and was mortified to see bins full to brim with recently donated items still stacked neatly in bags, cleaned, ironed, brand new baby clothes with tags on unworn. One time he came home with bags of new tennis balls for our dog - whole bin donated could have gone to their rescue dogs as was animal charity shop! I now just use age concern to donate who actually use up their donations properly not chuck all in the bins!
Hiya, Thanks for your comment. You are so right. If they reduced the prices people would buy it, but they rather throw it away. Time after time we find brand new items, and Newly donated items still wrapped up in the bin. We only donate the items to a small independent shop who actually sell the items at a reasonable price and don't bin them. Supermarkets are the same, throwing away bags full of perfectly good food when it could be given away, reduced to 10p or less or donated to homeless shelters etc but they won't and the law is on their side so they just don't care. It really makes us annoyed, but we do try and take what we can and donate, reuse and give away. We can't take it all as we don't drive and haven't got much storage space but we try our best. It is legal, and the officer didn't exactly know the law. There is nothing they can do legally while on public land. We were just polite as there is no point in causing an issue when they were polite enough 😃 Thank you for watching 👍

Guys dvds and cds are great for allotments and gardens to keep birds and pests away from seeds and seedlings etc

I thought it was legal to dumpster dive if the dumpster is on land accessible by the public and the dumpster is not locked ?
