I had to think fast on this one. Have you ever had to do that to salvage a piece?

Thanks for putting all the work into this video. Just wondering why you added that Boppy Music? I’m guessing most of us would rather focus on your teaching than background distractions of varying volume. Just a thought

I love hand made masks and stencils. I also use wallpaper samples that have raised patterns on them

Lots of detail and big contrasts is an interesting way to work. Gelli really gets us thinking.

I agree. Sometimes I'm just looking to make patterns for collage but other times I like to try to make compositions. It's challenging.

Love this, aqua is my favourite colour too! I notice you have ‘hitchhiker’ thumbs like I do as well!😂. Love layering and the unexpected results from gel printing, it is just addictive, maybe you could try it again with a nice shiny gold instead of the cad yellow! That might be cool! Thanks for another inspiring video!💕🇨🇦

I have them as a free download if you have a cricut. One of these days I will find a supplier that can make them for me.

I like your finished art work. I think it's a bit of overkill going over it so many times though. Sometimes simple is best!! I just think it uses a LOT of paint, which then is just covered up by more paint. Anyway......I do like your finished print.

    Really cool video. Thanks!
Quick to suggestion, (or question) could you tape the paper down next to the gel plate so the printing is always in the same position? Have a great day!

When you register the paper so that it hits the plate in the same place. It’s a printing term.

why not put a mask on the paper and roll ink into the paper right away, why work via a stencil on the gelli plate? Ah wait, because you wouldn't get an even distribution of ink onto the paper. Just look at how much you had to work with brayer on the gelli plate, and your explanation of the need to lift the brayer every time. Well duh, sorry to do my thinking while writing. I'm going to leave it here. My plate comes tomorrow :) thanks for all you show.

    • @SusanCliftonArtist

Once you start working with the gelli plate it will start to make sense. It took me a while to get it. The layering is where you get interesting results. So try simple layering first just to see how it works. I think you will love it. 😎
