REM-POD Made from a Doorknob Security Buzzer (English)

I made a REM-POD from a doorknob security buzzer.
Because of the annoying loud sound of the original buzzer I have a volume button built in.
Furder it's no more then the REM-PODS like other people already have built

What voltage led do I need friend ?

I tried to install a power led like yours but it keeps shorting out the light then the whole system. What am I doing wrong?

I wish I understood electronics and components more. I can build one of these minus the volume control which is a key feature for me

Is 18 gauge wire too strong for the led power light? Mines keeps blowing the led

I ended up putting a 1k resistor in series to positive leg of LED before connecting to power, still lights up and saves from blowing it out

They're called 5mm LEDs. You can get 150 of them in various colors for 8 dollars on Amazon
