Particularly I will not agree with you. Because I am an Banknifty, Nifty Option Buyer, I had a great profit for the past 5 year. But Option buying is more risky then option selling. If you an Option buyer, then You profitable when you buying option in the money with some strategy. But over all your point is right.
Percentage vise , money makers in option buying are very miniscule , may be one in ten thousand or one lakh. If you are constantly making money for five years , then you are a master of chart reading and finding the appropriate time to buy intraday.

OTM Option which value atleast ₹ 1000/- brokers charge 100 times margin that is to earn ₹1000/- premium i have to give margin of ₹ 100000/- which is not possible for retail traders like me. So Margin matters most.
