Godspeed You! Black Emperor is a Canadian post-rock band which originated in Montreal, Quebec in 1994. It releases its recordings through Constellation, an independent record label also located in Montreal.
Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada, also stylized as Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada, is the first EP released by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. It was released on the Montreal-based record label Constellation Records in 1999, and was re-released by Kranky Records. Users of the website Rate Your Music rate it as the greatest EP of all time

I'm obsessed with cosmic-horror (like Dead Space and The Thing) and music like this is SO PERFECT. If I ever make my own cosmic horror movie or game, this band is being contracted for the entire soundtrack. It's just SO good. Both musical and tonally. This band excels at writing music that has the most bleak and hopeless vibes, and that is the essence of cosmic horror.
