And i see u said u 2 r talking again we did to after 3 4 years of silence but inevitably after another 2 to 3 years of talking leading me on saying she wanted to try she wanted to meet up with me but gave me every excuse why she couldn't she used me ti make her self feel better when she was feeling low and I did exactly that treated her like a queen that wasnt mine and told her how gorgeous she was and how she was to die for but now we r back ti silence even tho silence filled the chat rooms between us when we did talk cuz she only talk to me maybe once twice a week if i was lucky I begged for her attention and the full circle came around alright she treated me how i treated her towards the end of our releationship just cold but whats fucked up she died it worse ten fold what i ever did to her I wanted to make amends but she chose something that was certain not as good as me and i say that honestly he cheats on her lies to her and I make have not gave her as much attention as i shoild have but I never cheated i never hurt her like that hearing ur comment has me balling to this song cuz god i just want that pain to end ppl say time will heal all scars but it dont seem like time is doing what its suppose to do and im left asking will i ever get over u ? Idk I'm a mess
When I stumbled across this song in December of 2020, I was in acute withdrawal from just about every drug under the sun. I was getting clean with zero help from doctors or anyone and quitting cold turkey, the only help I had back then was music and it was the first time in years I was actively looking for new music. This song spoke to my soul and its part of the reason why I actually look back on those first couple months of withdrawal (I suffered from PAWS for about 6 months) with almost a nostalgia for it and some may think I am full of it but my playlist with this song on it is a big reason why I made it through and have never looked back!! Thats the gift of great music and this song has never left my playlists ever since!

I married my highschool sweetheart at 19. We were together 17 years....2 beautiful boys. The last 4 years of our marriage was hell. I was the only one fighting, he asked for a divorce. BUT for 5 years now, I have been with an incredible man that thinks my boys and I deserve the world and does everything in his power to give to it to us. Love the words, love his voice etc. but after reading all the comments I realized there were some people on here that needed to hear that you do find a new normal. That even tho you feel like you will never find love again , that you will never be able to love someone else the way you love him or her? You will. He or she was meant to be a part of your story, they just weren’t meant to be in the entire book....

Reading everyone's comments makes me realize I'm not the only one who's hurt like this. 7 years married to the man of my dreams. I still wake up everyday loving him more than I did the day before. He's found someone else he wants to be with now. Just for once, I wish he'd miss me.
UPDATE: Guys, even if you dont see it right now, it does get easier. It just takes time. Im still hurting like crazy, but I dont cry as much. I really didn't think I would ever feel whole again. The thing is, you are the only one who can make you whole. You control your happiness. We lose those we love to remind us of that. They do not control our emotions. So if you've lost someone you love and you feel like you can't go on without them, push through. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. ❤❤❤

I didn’t think I was ever good enough for him he told me he liked me then we got to talking and we were best friends then one day he just never texts me back. Yes it hurts because I care so much for him ! I helped him out all the time but at the end of the day if he really cares he will show you or tell you. And never let someone else make you feel your not worth it you are!!

I was in this same situation, loved a guy more than life and he left, came back whenever he wanted to and I let him, until the day I decided that I didn't want him anymore. It was difficult to let go. Now I am in a very happy and stable relationship from last 3 years. I just want to say that it was so worth it, you'll find somebody who is right for you, until then polish yourself, work on yourself. Wow here i was thinking im the only one dealing with that, feeling that me and his kids are not good enough that that crap is better thab his family it hurts so bad dealt with it for approx 6 years on and off. I can honestly just say thank you to the lord for putting him on the right path and making him choose his family instead of drugs. Hes clean now for about 6 months still have thaughts somedays cause as u know a relapse takes a second but fingers crossed its done for good...
