I put these same boots on mine when I replace the fork seals yesterday.. No more sand in the fork seals for me. Enjoy these moments like these with your father. My dad helped me put the first set of seals in my forks. I thought it was annoying at the time but Him not taking over whatever I'm working on sure makes my heart feel heavy. he passed away 6 months ago. It's lonely fixing things without him. I would give anything to fix one more thing together. So enjoy it. Sorry for the emotional rant.
Good video, I have a 150CFR, great bike for beginners and both boots need replacement, your video will save me time figuring out the replacement process, thanks.
Yep, for the amount of people we had it was easier to do it the way we did. If i had done it alone then I would have removed the brake. Thanks for the comment!
I’m new ish to dirt bikes, is it possible to take the fork boots off and keep them off? I’m not really a fan of them and like the uncovered “normal” looking forks better
im thinking of putting a upside down fork on my dirt bike which is exactly like your bike except its suzuki can i do that or is it no possible ? thanks
New boots look great. Job would be easier to do if you remove the front wheel and caliper from the forks first. But you had enough help there to get the job done.
I recommend doing away with the boots, leave them bare and get come socks to cover the seals. I feel like personally it looks better, feels better, and unless your bogging, no point, (IN MY OPINION!!!!)
your fork seals leak yet? I just replaced my leaky seals and my forks had sand in the bottom. I put these goofy boots on mine. 16$ on amazon. no more leaks in my fork seals.

I felt that! 🙏🏼 Thank you.
They look better than the old ones !!! That was a good Idea to compress the shocks instead of removing the brake cable
Great Video

Been looking for a nice simple video like this! Asking for fork boots for Christmas to put on my crf150f, thanks for the video, it will help a lot!
Thats all you ask for? 🥺

Thanks for inspiring us to change torn up seals on my sons KX 125. 12yr old has to learn to start tinkering!
Looks like a fun group of guys to tinker with bikes. Wish I had people like that to wrench on my bikes.

230 is a great bike. I like the Honda, hasn't ever given me much trouble

Something got messed up there! I meant to leave that clip out...oops!
I'd like to ask if your fork boots do have holes in them to breathe?
Great idea. I was going to take my front wheel off.
The dad doing all the work and this guy uses one hand to put on the boot.

But leaving them bare, if he happens to get any burrs from rocks etc he will get leaky fork seals.
Josh Domoslai cough cough look at mx bikes cough cough
I agree it looks a lot better
Fork boots have a use in some extreme examples like loose rock and sand in my opinion.
The news channel must have heard your working! LOL
Hey little dirtbike. I love motorcycles and I love 805ROADKING
Wish i had friends and family to help me do that
😢
Although it is easier to have a mentor you can always start small
Can you use the bike without the boots or will it cause fork seal issues with dirt getting in it
I would not recommend using with out boots, you would almost definitely have problems with the seals
Made it much easier especially since they are hydraulic brakes
nice demo there well in fellas
if you were to get fork guards would you still need fork boots
No, in my opinion get fork socks to cover ATLEAST the seal
What happens when you leave them off?
That’s what I wanna know
Holy crap, those fork boots sure look silly!
am i able to ride with out them

I think fork boots are ugly. Is there a way to remove them or will it cause problems if I take them off?
Take em off amd put seal socks
HOLY SHIT BUDDY! What was that editing between clips? I thought i was drunk ffs!!
Thanks buddy!
Thanks bro!
quality instructional
WOW.
thanks
they look short...the are already stretched at normal height
Why not just take them off?
Dust can be introduced into the forks leading to premature failure
the tittle should be: "FORK BOOT REPLACEMENT HONDA 230 WITH HELP OF DAD"
tittle makes me smile. thanks.
