    "The sun wheeled in its ring
    the summer she sent
    Roosters crowing waking songs
    for elves in the meadow
    strength in the body
    growth in the earth
    Roosters crowing - galders growing
    Norns spinning - fates binding
    Gods crying - wolves howling
    Ravens shouting - giants sleeping
    Shadows threatening - barley swaying
    Fields growing - sun shining
    Wolves hunting - sun fleeing
    Roosters crowing - galders growing"
    I love it! ♥

    When I listen to this song, I feel like i'm an eagle soaring between the mountains, above the pine and fir forests of Scandinavia. The song evokes feelings of crystal clear, ice cold water, vastness and longships being readied for sea.

    HAIL WARDRUNA!

    This is on repeat for the last hour here. My girlfriend is starting to howl and bark, I'm growing my beard and my neighbors are sacrificing a cow outside. IT'S THAT SERIOUS! You guys are awesome, hope I'll see you when you come to Zadar, Croatia, cause here is some serious pagan crowd waiting for you!

      Why do Brazilians always have to tell everyone they're from Brazil? This is a weird internet thing that everyone notices, but no one knows the answer to. Why would you advertise being from the murder capital of the world? It'd be like saying "HAI FROM THE CONGO GUYS" - neither of those locales are places to be proud of - but rather places to flee.

      well this isn't necessarily a song because it definitely lacks common structure, but i would say it is a piece of music that works very well as amantra. it's redundant and stackingly taking up intensity :) did you meditate over this?

      +Darth Ren Dude, this is the sound i listen almost every day for more then two years, it really has an impact on me.
      I feeled crazy because it is absolutely not a "normal" music (for people of my age).
      But now you said the word, it really has the effect of a mantra on me, it is weird but i feel better now ^^

      going forward and find a way to use technology in our advantage without weighing on the ballance in nature seems better.
      This thing people say "we need to go back to our roots", what does it really mean?
      Does it just sound kool or is there some tought behind it?

    • @aBagOfGruis
      @aBagOfGruis 11 лет назад +6

      Alexandra Marier
      I hear you but im just thinking that it would be smarter to try to find a way to move forward and aligne with nature,but still keep evolving,becuse this planet is finite,with finite resorses,wich basicly means that we(uss humans) must start start exploring the possebilatys to move out in space or we will either grow to large for this planet and kill it off,or we will kill ourselfs off,or the planet kills uss off. In either case,we as a speisces is dead.
      I do hope my bad spelling is not a big problem.

      LZhaha True culture does not speak to the body, but the soul. My ancestors used to say that you are not born a Greek, but you become one, and this is absolutely right. It does not matter if you come from Greece, Iceland, Pakistan, Bangladesh or Morocco. To appreciate and embrace one's tradition, all you need is an open mind. Your soul will do the rest.

      Premoguys Honestly, it's bullshit for me. A cat will never be a dog. They are deeply different in their way to think, their cultures, etc...I have French - Italian - Scandinavian origins, and I will never have the pretentiousness to claim that I am Japanese just because I love their history and music... But well. I guess i should thank's the american and european propaganda for destroying culture, borders, country, and humanity.

  • @Stafnger
    @Stafnger 11 лет назад +1

    To elaborate I can use the sentence " Hanar galar rismål for alvar i enga".
    Hanar - Roosters, galar ( Crow/sing/yell ) only the word "galar" is old, and have reference to a kind of "magical" chant by the rooster, which brings forth the break of dawn. The rooster signals "elves" in the fields, so that the creatures of the underworld know that they must return to their dominion. Although "elves" can best be understood with comparing it to traditions connected to celebration of "Winter solstice".

    Hey Davor. Keep in mind that the political and/or institutionalized system that is written language and formal rules by which it is structured according to, is knowledge made obsolete by Chomsky in the early 60`s or something. Cognitive conceptualization and comprehension of meaning by reference, is not exactly taken into consideration by "google translate" ,or by simply exchanging segments and fragments. There will always be something lost in translation.

      State of California Ok then. What's wrong with my statement? It's ok for people to be proud of their culture and where they come from.
      And it was not what I "Attempted to say". It was what I said.

    • @viarr7381
      @viarr7381 9 лет назад

      Given that you are from Faroes, it's practically impossible that you have "pure viking blood". Granted, a lot of y-chromosomes there are in the i1-haplogroup, some from r1b too (celtic male) but the mitochondrial dna is almost exclusively celtic (irish). Also, studies show that 28-31% of males on iceland+Faroes carry R1a1a Y-DNA. which is a eurasian line (Balto-Slavic.) - likely a bunch of thralls brought from Pomerania and around there. In summary, even if you're among the approx 35% from the i1-haplogroup, the vast majority of the mito is celtic. Further, I would hardly call those islanders "vikings". Even the few original "norse" who migrated there were exiles and weak criminals who couldn't cope in the true viking nations, namely Denmark and Norway.
      Rent trælleblod render i dig, tror jeg.

    they are Bind Runes, just like there band logo
    it is a symbol made up from a combination of runes. might be for protection like the Helm of Awe (ægishjálmr) for example

    Well it is hard no to. Songs belong to culture, culture is outcome of specific nation, nation froms a state to guard and guarantee safety and prosperity of its people... and that belongs to politics no matter what :-D. Spreading of culture is a political outcome too. But I see your point :-D, I just wanted to remind us all that no matter what we wish to do, we can not avoid beeing a part of things that we dont want to see.

    They're actually called staves, an integral part of pagan sorcery. Very popular in Iceland, even after Christianization.
    Search Icelandic Magical Staves in wikipedia, theres a pretty accurate list of Staves and their uses.
