My dad died the same year I was born and my Mom did not remarry. How did this impact me--honestly, I do not know. But I can say that Father God fathered me in my bio dad’s absence and because of that, I am “spoiled” (sure, confident, safe, God-esteem)by His Love

The one thing missing from these discussions about having a father in the household is the assumption that simply having a man present means he is fulfilling his role of teaching his children, especially his daughters, how to love themselves. There are many men in households who are not showing their children self-love or connecting with them emotionally. So, while having a man in the house might sound like an ideal solution, the reality is that wisdom and love are not always being shared.
We need to stop generalizing that the presence of a man in the house guarantees success. The true contributing factor to success is having a household guided by God and following His principles. For single mothers, if you find yourself in that position, develop your relationship with God and he will help you and your children.

No matter the reason, some people simply shouldn't get married. They're not doing anybody any favors, including themselves.
I want my kids to know that a godly man fears God, cares about what God thinks. I also want my kids to know that a godly man is not perfect, but operates with humility.

Such an amazing conversation. Father of 3 have required two things honest about who I am and convince them I love them.

The first thing a girl wants from her dad, is Love, secondly protection, thirdly affirmation and seeing daddy and mommy in a loving and respectful relationship

I saw my father once when i was five. Then we eventually rekindled at 28 or 29. By then i had already met my husband. And they loved each other. I went through enough in life to realize what i wanted and for many reasons I feel like God put us together. One of the things i love most is hes God fearing. I do feel like I have gone through some things in life that had I had my dad, I wouldn't have gone through some of my experiences.

This is a really good podcast. Great topics, and wonderful to see so many men going hard for Jesus. I appreciate the young lady too, however, it's as if our race, or culture, hardly values marraige and monogamy.

I agree and disagree! Since your parents is the first human love on earth to be example of love! Yes! Secondly I seen women with great father relationships and still struggle in the men department.

I grew up without a father …at all …I don’t trust a person but I definitely can trust a man

Look nobody's gonna go on a podcast and say, "I hate men cuz they're always rap*ng people" but I'm pretty positive that's where half the hate comes from. When you don't grow up with protective male figures, you're definitely a target for SA if only because you don't recognize unhealthy boundaries. (In addition to the fact that SAers SA as often as they can.)
Secondly, when you've had to take care of everything in your household, and have been doing so successfully, and some rando appears feeling like he should tell you how to take of things simply because he has testosterone, it's gonna cause some hate. (A mature man doesn't do this but many men aren't mature.)
It's cute to act like not growing up with a father is the answer to every malady but as someone who grew up with my bio dad, that ain't it. lol
