Hi
It won’t tell me how much it cost. I would like to know please.
@@StevenElonMusk3000VR it costs $29.99
Hi
I love your videos so much
Maybe dragons beard candy would work as an alternative to cotton candy. You can control the final thickness of the 'strands' and it doesn't shrink so quick like cotton candy.
I thought that was where she was going when she said no to the Cotten candy
That's what I was going to say!!!
Yaz I was thinking of the same thing
I agree, if she can get a hold of some dragon's beard candy it might work. The result from what she actually did though in my opinion looks great from a distance, but when you get up close the realness goes away and the fur looks like the molded chocolate it really is.
@@bubbelwolfeh6001 Agree. I bet she will try it again because she loves to perfect so I hope she does this again trying that suggestion!
Gotta give Husband Dave some props for the incredible editing skills, he takes your amazing content and edits it perfectly to give us the best view of your work so thanks Husband Dave
Your saying husband Dave as if he's your husband.
Yes❤
@@oncedivee Where she says HUSBAND DAVE.
@@NyxxsTV sorry I didn't understand what you were saying also I said it as a joke so dont take it to seriously
@@oncedivee I am terribly sorry!!!
Wow the fur turned out amazing. It didn't give "brand new out of the box" vibes. But it did give "these are my favourite slippers and if they die a little peace of me dies with them" vibe. The fur had that well loved clumped look and I am 100% here for it. Amazing work!!!
Mind-boggling cake idea: so like, it’s your plush when it’s in two pieces, but one of the halves already appears to be cut, but the thing is it’s a cake texture out of modeling chocolate! You could even include an edible version of your knife
You just blew my tiny mind
Wow this is such a good idea
Wow😮
loved the editing and the cake, a tiny suggestion I have is maybe make the background music a little more quiet? It was kinda loud to me this video
I agree, with auditory processing disorder it made it kinda hard to understand her at parts of the video
@@michaelbricky turn captions on
yeaah
I came to say the same thing! The background music overpowered her voice and it was difficult to process what she was saying. I kept pausing the video over and over, because for a bit there I thought an annoying ad was playing in the background at the same time 😅
YES I was going to say the same thing it’s so loud it gets hard to focus on what she’s saying and showing
Her "Impossible" is the same as the movie "Mission Impossible", it said Impossible but both managed to make it every single time.
Im-possible
Impossible is just her Tuesday
I’m tryna make it out the hood so on my RUclips channel i do food reviews while I’m super high fam
@@SevenHunnid but nobody came
@@SevenHunnid You do food videos and make that much money dang
Firstly, are we not gonna talk about the absolute murder on 0:25? XD
Meanwhile, wow, all the detail work on that shoe! Not just the fur, which I'm sure was a struggle on its own, but the precision for the sole and the color matching. I'd love to see more of your coloring process!
XD, I agree. She is very talented!
Faxx
I think it was her last livestream cake making video that she kind of shows how she approaches it. (it's basically the standard color theory approach that they would teach you in art school. You don't even need that many base pigments to work with, although it can save you some time)
😂😂😂
Decapitation XD
Her positive attitude is so, like, amazing. I love it. We need more positivity like this.
I’m just blown away. I’ve tried making a 2 layer cake before…it was a disaster 🤣 your talent is so inspiring, not just for baking but every activity I do
As someone that went to art school and then animation school, I think critique is so important and so many people seem so opposed to it. I would not have become a better artist or animator without critique! I think you are one of the most talented sculptors I’ve come across, cake or not. I wish I was better at articulating my critiques, but like with this one, it’s so close but somehow not quite accurate. The fur looks heavy, while still looking like the fur of the boot. Idk if maybe more highlights (like how fur with a light behind it has a sort of halo glow) or maybe a different material, but the fur in the boots looks heavier than the real fur. I think it looks great but I’d love to see you play around with the fur texture some more!
You are right. I think one of the limitations is that she uses a pretty small variety of materials to do basically all the shapes- although that makes the end results even more impressive at times IMO.
I think the best solution might have been something like dragons beard candy, as it doesn't shrink as much as cotton candy.
@Fountainblaze
I think you meant, they've attached their sense of self to.
I agree with you.
Yes I 100% agree the fur looks quite heavy Ik there can be different ways to make candy floss maybe it’s possible to make a tipe of reaction to being out in the air other then that I love that cake it’s AMAZING ❤❤❤
As a perfectionist & someone without any natural talent, I always welcomed criticism. But not so much anymore. If it makes the intended happy, I’m happy. Life’s too short to spend on things that really don’t matter.
@@sunshine3914 life is too short to accept criticism of your work? Ok lol
as a person who clay sculpts, i can confirm that making fur is really hard, especially with a 1:1 recreation of something
I like how she doesn't make her videos like a half hour long
She summarizes it, well also including the details:)
Yes!! Also love that!
I love both of your humor. You can tell neither of you take yourselves too seriously, and that’s my favorite aspect of this channel. It’s good to have fun 😊
With such talent, also comes wisdom ☺️ your cakes are always so amazing, and so is this one! I think the one thing your missing on this one is that fur really has a shiny texture due to the synthetic fibers, along with the ends being almost translucent due to it thinning out. I saw a few other suggestions other than cotton candy, like dragons beard. I feel like if there was a way to sculpt sugar strands, that would probably be the closest you’d get!!
I agree! Just adding strands of sugar to a sculpted base would make it more convincing, even.
She never fails to make me amazed
That’s a little selfish.
@@NyxxsTV How-?
@@NyxxsTV no it isn't be serious
The fur looks great! When you asked what you could use to make the fur, the first thing I thought of was dragon beard candy! It’s very labor-intensive, but the final result is worth the effort. Maybe to make the fur look even more realistic, you could sculpt the fur and attach the dragon beard candy on top to give it the texture and effect of being real fur!
I really enjoyed the video, thank you so much for creating such amazing content!
Both you and your husband are doing an amazing and entertaining job.
I love watching your videos❤
Natalie- I just had a really bright idea- what if you made a hyper realistic cake of a woman’s wig? Now that would be an interesting challenge-maybe a Marilyn Monroe style wig on an edible head mannequin?….oh do it girl…… for me ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent job on the fur! Very beautiful, still noticeably not real to me. But I’ve drawn fur and it is difficult. It’s layers after layers of lines in different shades, drawn together in clumps and separate with out reason.
I’m not a sculptor but I’ve seen people lightly mix two different shades of clay together to get a mix of color. Try to get them in the same direction maybe. I think if it works out, the different shades might help with the illusion of dimension.
Great job everyone who supports Dave and Natalie and thank you also thank you Dave and Natalie for the videos and for always being on the positive side of everything
You simply acknowledging the impact your audience has is alone commendable. Thank you for being such a kind creator. P.S the editing is amazing in this video
I like the cake! As a baker myself I can’t think of anything better to make the fur with off the top of my head… I think you got pretty close to realistic and I am impressed! Good job 👏
Just waiting for the day that she makes a carrot cake made out of carrot cake 🥕
I LOVE YOUR ART! I've been following you for about 4ish years now, and I'm so incredibly proud that you're getting the attention and love you deserve! And I love how far you and dave have come with your editing and your skills. There is one thing I miss tho🥺 how you used to take us through all the steps and the process of creating the cake, that was my favourite part! Not saying I don't love the new format, I really do love it! But maybe you could make an in depth step by step once in a while? That'd be so fun! Please keep creating and making art and we'll keep supporting you!
Okay but can we take a second to say how AMAZING & BEAUTIFUL YOUR HAIR LOOKS?
I love love love the volume & curls! ❤
OK!!!!! Can we PLEASE talk about how perfect her hair always is!? I want to know how its done🤩
Shout out to Dave for editing this video! :D
The editing is really really good, it keeps your attention on the video and doesn't let you get bored
I love the hilarious little sound effects and noises Husband Dave adds in editing 😍😂
She pulled out the furry shoe, and I honestly thought, "Okay, let's do this." There wasn't even a doubt in my mind you would make this work. I could still kinda tell it wasn't fur, but this is already more detailed than anything I will ever make combined. Maybe go over it with one of those sculpting tools that looks like a dental pick.
I sat there and watched as you started making the fur, but I was still absolutely shocked at the reveal! 😱 Amazing work by both you and husband Dave! 💕
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate her beautiful hair ✨
Haha I was thinking the same thing!!
Jokes on you, it's actually cake
@@merlith4650 😱
@@merlith4650 lol
I love the stories Natalie tells as she works her cake magic! It's a really clever way to keep us engaged on multiple levels.
I also appreciate the music Husband Dave includes in his edits - he makes the whole video upbeat and cheery.
Can you make thing(hand) from Wednesday netflix series. I love your videos btw 💕
soo impressed with the way you modeled the fur. my first idea was admittedly cotton candy and i still think cotton candy would work well as a secondary addition to the modeling chocolate. that way the structure wont shrink because it has an existing foundation while still adding the frizzyness to the edges of the fur.
Sideserf, as a plastic art student and a sweet tooth person, I love your videos. I discovered your channel and Amaury Guichon's a while ago, and I couldn't possibly be happier than if you and him make a video Collab. I don't know what kind of idea for a realistic cake would both of you get, but I bet it would be awesome!! 😃
Oh my gosh this would be so amazing, they are both so overwhelmingly talented!
That would be the best collab ever!
So realistic cool cake keep up the good work!
You didn’t Evan watch the video it just came out
The fur looks so realistic! You are so talented, keep being the amazing cake artist that you are!
You're so wholesome and resilient, props to you and Husband Dave
The fact that you could sculpt the fur so well was amazing. Like… how?!
Ikr
I envy dave so much going behind the scenes to let his wife do what she loves. You rock dave! Also, great editing
I love this cake. And husband Dave's editing is amazing!
I ❤️ 😍 love ur cakes soooooooooooo much, I was watching world cup yesterday and I was like "I bet Natalie would do an AMAZING world cup trophy cake" so now I think you should definitely do it!!!
I would love to see a behind the scenes of what goes into an entire video. The set of, the filming, the editing, voiceover, I think this would be so interesting to see!
I love the work! I’m still not believing that it went from a green blob, to that!
Husband Dave has amazing skills! And so do you! I’m a little sad I didn’t get to see the inside on the shoe, so maybe more angles as a suggestion. You are the most talented person I could imagine! Keep doing what you do best! ❤
Who ever tells you negative things about your cakes ignore it and keep going with your wonderful unique art work. I can’t even do a perfect circle and you can do this. Think about the time you put in your cakes .
I don’t usually watch cake making videos and I thought about skipping to the end to see results HOWEVER your speech about how you take critique and how you gave honest credit to your husband for the (really impressive, might I add,) editing kept me around til the end! I found it very inspiring and I loved the message you are putting out there for not just cake decorators but anyone to learn from! Bonus: it’s making me want to go back and check out some of the older videos to see the improvements ❤
I don't have a single critique because I couldn't even come close to doing the fur as amazing as you did. Also, YAY Husband Dave!! You are rocking it
I wish we could see more cakes side by side with their inspiration after the cake cutting.
I LOVED your wise words about critiques. I’ve been trying to embrace this as an artistic person, and learning to let the sting of it roll off my back. It’s definitely a muscle you have to exercise at first lol
I have so much fun watching your content, you are incredibly talented, but your personality is what makes me so addicted to your content.
Ohhh, you know what cake you could make next? A lasagna cake 😬. That would be epic!
Even if I watched you in person, I will never know how you go from a tub of green frosting and a lump of modeling to a cake that looks more real than the object you are replicating. I showed my husband the watercolor cake you made, and he finally understand why I keep talking about your videos!
Absolutely love your cakes! You inspire me so much!
Wow!!!! I was not expecting it to look so realistic!!!!! This looks much better than what the cotton candy could have even come close to, and I mean before it started to shrink lol Great job! You too, husband Dave lol the editing makes me has hungry for that cake as it makes me amazed.
that cake is literally AMAZING and i can't believe u made that! it looks sooo real!!!
Ur cakes r absolutely amazing u never fail to entertain us!!
Wow I loved this cake! I’m a huge fan of the color pink and it looked delicious lol
Have you ever made a cake of a charcuterie board? If you haven’t, I think that’d be really cool to see!
I’m pretty sure you spelled that word wrong but font take my word for it
For Husband Dave teaching himself how to edit, he is a great editor! I think if he could add more sound effects that would make the whole video funnier! I think this cake looks great, I have one suggestion but as far as I know, you can fix it, here is my suggestion: For the darker pink details, I think you should've added light pink to it too.
Who else agrees?
- One of your biggest fans!
I appreciated your discussion in this video. I agree that being open to critique encourages growth.
Wow this is super impressive! I love the way that the fur is going all over the place, and not just going one way. I also thought it was super cool how you made it a harder challenge for yourself to do modeling clay for the fur instead of cotton candy. Respect
Making the fur might have been easier if you piped it on with a piping tool with some frosting
...I dunno, I think you've set your own bar too high with your past projects. Beyond the 'obvious' "the chocolate just doesn't look enough like fur", I also think the strap could have used some shimmer to make it look more like the semi-transparent plastic weave of the original. It's a very nice cake, but it doesn't quite require the same double-take I've come to expect of Sideserf cakes. I think some material experimentation is in order.
Your hair looks amazing! Soo pretty and silky looking
You and husband Dave should do a cake decorating competition!!!
I had no idea husband Dave did the editing! He's solo food at it! I especially love the sound effects!
May I suggest using buttercream for the fur next time you do a cake like this? I’ve seen it done before and it looked pretty cool ^^ I love your cakes, they’re fun to watch ^^
The editing looks AMAZING!!! Especially the cartoon figures husband Dave adds in and make TALK
You two, Dave and Natalie, are a great team! Dave, add more fart sound effects when Natalie plops icing onto the cake please. 😉
THAT IS INCREDABLE!
I can't believe you made it look super fuzzy, AWESOME EDITING Husband Dave.
Great Cake!
YOUR MY FAVORITE!!!!! Your just so nice and funny. And you make your voice have a fun aspect to it so it makes you actually want to watch it more!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Slight suggestion! About the editing of course. Maybe at the end of the vid where you cut the cake you put a small thing at the bottom saying; 'CAKE CUTTING' I think that would be so cool!
And if you also make a hamster cake that would just be adorable!!!!
What a beautifully wholly educating video. ❤️ I can sense that you were very intentional about teaching on many levels. And it was great! I'm going to share this with families, especially those with young people who deal with others perception in a way that negatively impacts them.
But it's a great video for everyone. It really hits on problem solving and critical thinking skills. I love it! Please keep it up! :-)
This is late ik but that cake cutting was probably one of the best on your channel it was absolutely perfect
This one is seriously impressive, I really love all the shades of pink and the texture. Reminds me of chardons candy from France, which are filled with different liquors. The sole is a beaut, and the whole thing looks delicious too.
Husband Dave does so much work. Give him my thanks from my heart 😊
I still can’t believe how you made that fur look so real also husband Dave’s editing is amazing keep up the good work!
The ultimate challenge for you would probably be another portrait with THAT GORGEOUS HAIR. Its freaking fantastic.
Husband dave you have the best editing skills ever. I cant find a better editor.
I love all your cakes! It looks so real!😋
they look*
My favorite cake you've made is your notebook cake! It's just so adorable and realistic
I love how you painted it with food coloring :)
I dont have any recommendations but i honestly love your art! Its amazing how you can make a food item into something that dosent look like food. Or cake to be specific
Its like How to Cake It wrapped up, Sidesurf came and slayed!
5:17 I can definitely see how well the editing has gotten! It's amazing!
The fur looks great:D another way to do it would be to focus on all the basic shapes of the fur bits first then go back and add details depending on how realistic you want it to be. It's what sculpters do with hair too
First I have to say WOW!! Amazing cake, I didn't think of anything for the fur I forgot about dragons beard, it would work but I'm thinking it wouldn't be as good as what you did, taking the chance and it didn't turn out, but with everything I've seen you do I know it won't disappoint!! Love all your cakes, and husband Dave does an amazing job editing your videos, congrats to both of you!! Beautiful work!!
@SideserfCakes I was thinking about dragon candy for the fur
Really enjoying your love for details ❤️❤️❤️
I have to say I am pretty damn impressed with your art and sculpting skills. You really are amazing. Big thumbs up 😊
I love all the cakes you make you and husband Dave are goals ❤❤❤
Your videos are great and you are really talented!
One thing I would suggest is to lower the music volume a little, so it’s easier to hear your voiceover 😊
ITS SO REALISTIC WOW!!!! I LOVE IT YOU ARE SO AWESOME
So something that I have found helpful in creating messy hair/fur is taking your liquid (in your case I think it would be chocolate? I paint) and overloading the brush to where it is dripping and whipping it around. It helps creating those thin fine overlapping strands
It’s a bit messy tho
I love this cake! It’s so real especially the fur and I would love to see something like this again! I love your work and I’m ready for more cake! Ps I admire how you can resist eating all the cake I would definitely just eat all the cake! 😂
This is beautiful. I show all of your cakes to my husband. He says that you're like a human 3D printer. Only better, because yours is edible. I think you're unbeatable. Great work!
When i see your videos my heart gets filled with joy!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Just fantastic! And that includes the convo about critiques. I love your work.
This was one of my fav videos ❤ever and props to husband Dave with the editing skills
One thing i love about you, is that you kinda have a mom voice, y’know?? its hard to explain, so if you get it, you get it, if you dont, you dont. sorry
I do see soo much inprovment with Husband Daves Editing and recording
Keep up the amazing work!
