When I first listened to this song, I was convinced this would be my favorite IU track. I was still beginning my IU journey back then. Recently, I commenced a project where I relistened to all 90 IU tracks I have listened to since (this includes features), and I tried to rank them as best as I can. Lo and behold, Friday still takes the number 1 spot.
this song (Friday) is one of the first IU's "eternal song" as this song wouldnt leave the top100 chart for at least 2 years... this also marked her embark from previous style (pop orchestral/ fantasy-sound like Good Day - You and I - Every End of The Day - Red Shoes); from here onward you'll listen to ballads/folks (a flower bookmark 1) - pop / accoustic (Twenty three and other chatshire mini album songs) then pop/ acoustic/ RnB (Palette album)
