1:39:10 - So, "the 15th Wish", or the last wish, is actually a meta-narrative. When Forsaken came out, in the "Last Wish" raid, there was a mechanic called the Wall of Wishes. With this wall, you could input a bunch of codes that would do specific things. Some codes teleported the fireteam to a specific encounter, some codes put the raid in "hard mode", some even gave you unique narrators throughout the raid. There were 14 possible codes in total, but in our triumphs tab, it kept showing 14/15 possible codes. It became an urban myth in Destiny's community for a bit, with tons of folks trying to figure out if the 15th wish actually existed. Finally, Bungie decided to humor us: yes, there IS a 15th Wish. Savathun's Wish, one imprinted on her wings for us to find that CAN be inputted into that wish wall. A nice little easter egg to what was initially just a numbers glitch in our triumphs ;)
1:00:44 last season it was explained in lore, but Ahsa is what the Worm God's were before they became the Worm God's, they are called "Proto-Worms". The Witness met these Proto-Worms & offered them Darkness & corrupted them with it, turned the worms against each other other if they didn't join the Witness, Ahsa is a survivor
Fun Fact: After Savathûn's resurrection, there is a lore tab where saint 14 brings immaru to the throne world, and proceeds to kill savathûn just about 50 times in a row
Back in the Red War, when Ghaul suppressed our light, he said something like, "You're not brave. You've merely forgotten the fear of death. Let me remind you." When Saint put Savathûn through an excruciatingly long cycle of death and resurrection, between kills, he said, "You are Hive, and you know suffering. You come from death. It is nothing to you. But I think, maybe, you do not know how it feels to be helpless. I will teach you." There's something oddly satisfying about that symmetry.

None of this is spoilers btw: Also, in regards to what you said about Ahamkara at the end. They do feed on the desires of people. In the Last Wish raid Shuro Chi says "Your desires could feed a nation of such beasts". But they also feed on the space between words/ get a greater meal by twisting your words. i.e. if you wish for a million bucks, giving you the money would be a decent snack to an Ahamkara. But if they instead gave you a million male deer, the 'contract' is fulfilled and they get a larger meal from it. Also, I have a theory that the Ahamkara are of the Traveler and/or just follow it where ever it goes. Because in the Books of Sorrow from Taken King, a race wiped out by the Hive called Harmony had "wishful bishops" that use "dragon-wishes", but were also blessed by the Traveler. Also, the D2 Vanilla Collectors Edition, the lore shows that Calus had a bone that would whisper to him. Empress Caiatl would later reveal in the Lightfall Collectors Edition lore that it was an Ahamkara bone that originated from the Harmony system. All that coupled with the fact that the Ahamkara only appeared in Sol after the Traveler showed up.
The fact that the gulf between Reality-As-Is and Reality-As-Desired is actually a source of power that can be tapped makes me think it's a sort of Darkness [the domain of consciousness] equivalent to _potential energy_ in the physical world (e.g. the energy stored in a wound clockspring). And of course when Ahamkara twist people's wishes, they're increasing that differential - reality is still not as the person actually desired, even though their wish technically came true - so the "potential energy" is still there for them to feed on.
During the Festival of the Lost (Destiny’s reoccurring Halloween event) associated with this season, there’s a lore book showing some shenanigans Immaru got up to while being kept at the Tower. At one point, he gets it in his head that it’d be advantageous to steal candy, and ropes Archie, a robot dog made by Rasputin (introduced in Season of the Seraph), into helping him. The lore book this takes place in-“Tales of the Forgotten - Vol. 3”-doesn’t matter much to the greater story, but is a great read if you’re interested in the slice-of-life aspects of Destiny. The same can be said for the other Tales of the Forgotten books, as well as the “Ghost Stories” and “Dawning Delights” lore books. AIAT was in front of you the entire time. Caiatl's name unknowingly comes from several Hive tales in the OXTA prediction engine that the Psions used. The OXTA prediction engine is assumed to be an anagram of Taox, the Queen Mother of the Osmium Dynasty. Essentially Calus named Caiatl after the star Caiatl, which was named from the reasoning that unlike all other stars in the system it shines the truest and does so undeniably (in reference to the "aiat" meaning of proof). A lot of Cabal rhetoric about war is derived from the ancient starfaring conquerers of the Hive but were transcribed potentially through the mortified lenses of Taox, who ended up betraying the Hive and siding with many enemies of the Hive to halt the genocide the Hive would create. This is also why you see Caiatl's best friends name as Umun'Arath in reverence of the conquerer's legacy... but this is also the same viral teachings that cause Umun's family to conjure Xivu'Arath onto Torobatl. Taox might actually be our Hive ally, as Taox has yet to be found and has always escaped the reaches of the Hive. She also has several ties to the Vex who were seeking to integrate with the OXA machine, much like how Maya Sundaresh did during the Insight Terminus strike.
Immaru was actually part of Festival of the Lost a bit later in this season, along with Glint and Eido (and also Shaxx every so often). There's a lore book about him and Archie (the Exo dog) pulling off a candy heist.
You absolutely need to check out the lore book Rites of Passage | Proportionality. It is by far my favorite lore book with Saint-14, and Savathûn. It is awesome! Ready for Season of The Wish!
The 'last wish' that Savathun had was for a curse to be unleashed on the dreaming city that cycles every 3 weeks. Also, season of the wish is the best seasonal story we've gotten, love the lore of the ahamkara
Well, the wish/curse on the Dreaming City was made by the 6 guardians who beat Last Wish first. They wished to save the Dreaming City from the taken corruption, but since Riven was taken (controlled by Savathun), our wish got twisted around by Savathun as we made it and she made it so we wished for the curse. So while she technically did wish for it, it was really the guardians
Abour Eris. The Exo Stranger has travelled through timelines in which Eris does indeed loses herself to the darkness, kills everyone (vanguard and enemies of humanity alike) and takes over the Universe for herself. So that suspicion of Eris has come a long way and this was the season to decide whether that would come to pass or not!
To clarify the wishes. Savathuns wish was the curse in the dreaming city which was put into effect when we killed riven. When Forsaken came out there were 15 secret wishes that could be put into the wall of wishes in the last wish raid. We only ever found 14 and the wish in Savathun's wings is the 15th
Just to clarify something with the wish, back in the Last Wish raid (Forsaken) there was a wall of wishes that gave small benefits. In game there were 14 but 15 were in the files. People searched for months for the 15th wish and eventually gave up. The wish is essentially them ending a 5 year old mystery
So small clarification as some others have said. Season of the Deep was not clear about it at all, but Ahsa's species is actually what became the worm gods. They lived on Fundement long long ago, predating the Krill even I think. Then the Witness and Rhulk rolled up, offered them power and started corrupting them. Ahsa and a bunch of other worms fought back, and all but Ahsa were killed (as far as we know). And she made it to Titan through the ascendant plane and just chilled there till Sloan ran into her. Thats why they call her a proto worm and Xivu calls her "the coward flesh". As always great reaction, and glad you're appreciating the story and seeing how everything slots in with one another. Looking back on it, the seasons of lightfall are pretty good and like you said do a LOT of heavy lifting with the whole cast and their relationships, and tying up loose ends and setting the stage for the final shape. They were just kind of received poorly because the story arc took a LONG time to unfold with each season being several months, making each detail just kinda agonizingly slow, having them all here now, where you watch/play them in 1 go is a much better format.
Around an hour in you were asking if Ahsa is similar in strength to a worm-god; this is actually answered in a lore tab from season of the deep, since it's from before things you have already seen not really a spoiler but I'll leave a tag for posterity; Potential spoiler for those who have not finished season of the deep: Ahsa IS a Worm god; or more accurately she is a proto-Worm God, the (as of yet unnamed) species that existed before the worm gods were changed. As the Krill are to the Hive, Ahsa is to the worm gods. This was specified on the lore of a ghost shell cosmetic of all things (Bungie do like hiding their good lore), specifically the siochains-scuba-shell if you want to look up the actual lore tab on Ishtar collective.
The story of The Taken King is basically we killed Oryx, which sent him to his Throne World to recover. When we assaulted his throne to kill him for good (the only way to truly kill a hive is to kill them in their throne world) we used the stolen light Oryx had gathered against him, which in turn subverted the hive sword logic. We technically didn't prove our might, because we purified Oryx's own tools and used them to kill him, essentially making himself his own downfall. Thus why Xivu Arath says what she did about Assiduity, we paid attention to the stolen and corrupted light Oryx took to devour, and used that light to get rid of him.
EDIT: Terra, this is a deep dive (no pun intended) about what the logics are. It's a longer read, but it might shed some context as to why the Hive siblings relationship is not as cut and dry as you think they might be. Yes, all content in Destiny since Destiny 1 happens in real time, meaning every reference in the game to past events coincides with the passing of real world time. When Osiris mentions that he learned of something a year ago, he does mean a year ago. It's one of the many charming things that Bungie decided to do when making their world an evolving world... that comes with the caveat of constantly removing seasonal content story unfortunately. Also, in reference to your conception of Sword Logic: Killing the enemy is never the proof of Sword Logic, it's the intent. Death is evidence that you prevailed, but the difference is that the death can also be a complex role in the tapestry of the universe. What we wield is Bomb Logic, a type of murder that requires the interweaving of schemes, mechanics, and unity to overcome the apex predator before us. The Hive would whittle everything else away in service of making only a single being stronger. We as guardians work together to overcome adversity and thus we have triumphed over every obstacle thrown at us thus far. The Hive tithe their power to singular gods in order to ensure that their ideals be laid to practice. We are not beholden to such ideals because we don't practice to achieve a proof, we practice just to live and ensure that our people are safe. The Hive would throw their entire race against the meatgrinder in service of a value that doesn't include themselves in the future, whereas we fight to ensure that those who cannot will be able to live, hence, we are guardians. Savathun was the most attuned to the idea of Bomb Logic because her power lies in the ability to scheme and use others to overcome obstacles, the problem was, before her realization, she would just use her deception to kill others rather than to just observe and intervene. While she inhabited the body of Osiris, in one of the lore cards, it details her infiltration of the city and people being nice to Osiris after his exile because he proved that he was right all along and the Vanguard welcome him in. Witnessing their respect, admiration, joy, and togetherness to push forward, she felt ill and rejected the feeling because it was so foreign to her. The feeling of friendship rather than cutthroat deception felt good to her but it was so shocking to her, she told herself "What is this feeling, I do not want it". This turning point is probably how she was tested to becoming a guardian: her entire life of devotion thrown away, bravely taking the leap to the other side of the game, and dying in the process to help against Xivu Arath and the Witness instead, thus gaining the gift of the Traveler and becoming a guardian. Now go back to the logs from Xivu Arath in Ghosts of the Deep dungeon. Xivu Arath kept seeing the loss of her family at the hands of those who do not love them (namely us) rather than her siblings. This maddened her because they killed her siblings without the purpose of proving the concepts of the Sword Logic. The guardians did not choose to ascend and become the new apex predator. They did so in service of protecting those would otherwise succumb to the apex predator. This put Xivu Arath's beliefs to the test and drove her mad. When she finally came into contact with Oryx's dead body, there was nothing she could do to save him, and at that point, she felt a deep sense of longing, a desire for her to have been able to protect him... but that in turn would only prove our Bomb Logic. This is because her desire to protect him explicitly means that she would have to admit that he was not suited to exist in the world. This feeling of longing meant that her beliefs were wrong. Hence, she refrains the same denial Savathun had "What is this feeling, I do not want it". In seeking vengeance and retribution out of her longing for her siblings: Oryx killed without his mantle being taken and Savathun being converted into a guardian like a caricature of what she once was... all of her warmongering became Eris's weapon because the intent of the war was not to simply kill and whittle down existence again. Defeating Xivu Arath in war proves that she is not the apex of war, which means her worm will disapprove and devour her much like Savathun's was doing when she started feeling remorseful when inhabiting Osiris's body. It also would not be a good look for her court who's sole faith relies on the core belief that she is the definition of war.
Caiatl was partially named after the Hive Word "Aiat" And for real? I LOVE Eris and Drifter together. Because Drifter is actually a LITTLE Content with his life. He's not fake smiling anymore. And Eris knows she'll never be alone again. You even hear it in both their voices when they speak to each other.
To answer your question about sword logic. Yes. We have proven our strength, will, and force to exist in the "perfect world," and the Hive hate us for it. One, because we do not dredge from the darkness for it. And two, because it's a childish regime. The Osmium dynasty walked down the path of revenge that would lead them into becoming the Hive. And plus the WrymGods and Rhulk, and even the Witness kinda gassed them up with the sword logic, telling them that nothing would ever be able to stand in their way and compete with them
The titular Last Wish of the raid is Savathun's. She wished, using the power of us killing Riven, to corrupt the Dreaming City. Savathun has been in the background for FAR longer than her first big name drop in Season of Arrivals. She convinced Hashladun and the other Hive on the Moon to build the Scarlet Keep and invite a challenge from us, leading to the discovery of Nezerac's Pyramid too.
fun fact: all the way back in forsaken someone datamined a 15TH wish which was pretty much the wish we will use in the ending of next season but the community was told the 15TH wish was existing in the game but was very cryptic so we all were theorizing about since forsaken till season of the witch lol
Unless it's specified, like during the first mission of the Red War, Destiny time is always 1:1 with real time, the Witness has been inside the Traveler for more than a year by now
Who's been messing up everything? It's been Savathun all along Who's been pulling every evil string? It's been Savathun all along She's meticulous. So cunning That you haven't even noticed And the pity is Pity, pity, pity, pity It's too late to fix anything Now that everything has gone wrong Thanks to Savathun Trickster Savathun It's been Savathun all along! And I killed Nezarec too In realness, this season's story was so RIPE in character, it was like a part II to Witch Queen to me. Savathun is hands down the best crafted antagonist/anti-hero(?) and overalll character in the Destiny franchise. She steals all focus when even mentioned, never mind on screen.
When forsaken came out, after the players discovered the wish wall there were 15 triumphs linked to a wish each one, the community would find the patterns in different places and fiund 14, but never the 15th wish. That was the last wish
I would *highly* recommending 1 specific video from Destiny Lore Vault, titled: "Altars of Summoning | Complete: "Like Winning a Game By Turning It Off" | Season of the Witch". It's a minute long video with a dialogue from Immaru that can randomly play when you complete an altar of summoning before having completed season of the witch's story. It'll explain a few things that probably need explaining.
I'm sure you've already heard, but... AVOID SOCIAL MEDIA, FINAL SHAPE WAS SPOILED, I REPEAT AVOID SOCIAL MEDIA. Anyways, loved your reaction! 5 more days until it's safe! We're in the home stretch! 🎉😁🎉
Aiat is basically the same as Amen. It was pertty simple to infer that from the years of use in the context. It's funny the writers felt they had to spell it out.
1:38:00 No, it wasn't Mara's wish. The last wish at that time was Savathun's wish to curse the dreaming city. There is lore about the other wishes made by Guardians, some of them are related to the vault of glass.
The "Last Wish" was the Guardians' wish, it corrupted the Dreaming City and put it in a 3 week loop. Riven loosely interpreted our intent of trying to kill her as "wanting to save the dreaming city" as now we can do it again-and-again forever.
48:47 when only that which cannot be killed remains, locking horns with its absolute equals. Perfection. Eternity. Endless violence, begat upon the truest immortals. Aiat!
It was summarized in one of the other comments but you have to read the Proportionality Lore Tab (Chapter 8 of the Rites of Passage Lore Book). It is criminal bugie played this scene out in a Lore tab as opposed to a cut scene.
Oh with Ahsa, her race were corrupted by the darkness, and became the Worm gods, the Xol, Akka, Xita and the others. Ahsa is the few of her race that refused to be corrupted by the deep, and has been fleeing the darkness and the hive, and took refuge on Titan
Hello Mr Terrabellum! I've stumbled upon your channel while listening to Destiny ost, and I'm liking your videos on reacting to D2 stuff! Not sure if the voiceline is in the video but imaru actually explains the final shape and how the hives perception of it vs the witness's version its a good 30 sec clip to watch to understand the witness's motive
3:17 I was expecting her to be a Dungeon boss because Oryx was a Raid boss and Savathun was a Campaign boss so Dungeon is the last category of "hard" boss available. Unfortunately, she was not a Dungeon, but there's still time later.
22:28 as someone who also didn't participate in the content while it was available, I assume that she made herself into a sort of "proto-Hive God," like how Ahsa from Season of the Deep is basically a proto-Worm God. Except, we didn't get a Hive brood on our side. With the Worm fragments in the staff, acting as the Seasonal Power item, by the laws of the Hive, the Guardians effectively act as her Brood. Thus, we Guardians became Eris Morn's Acolytes, Knights and Witches.
Elsie was actually really mad eris did this and that we let her do this. Cause the exo stranger is from a different timeline where almost exactly this happened except eris was evil and was the cause of the end of her universe
I don’t know why it wasn’t given a cutscene, but there is a lore tab on what i believe is an exotic sparrow that takes place just after the cutscene where Eris kills savathun. It describes how Imarru resurrects savathun and we threaten her before she leaves,
7:39 I have an idea that what Asher Mir is doing inside the Vex Pyramidion and Network is going to result in a splinter sect of the Vex minds that is radically opposite to the Sol Divisive where they decide to study and commune with the lightbearers directly and therefor create a mind for the first time that is designed to communicate with the species they had thus far considered below them on the justification that they need to understand them in order to simulate the light. And that opens the door for a hilarious Vex Mind that is pulling colloquialisms from human networks and data and talks like some sort of out-of-touch elder trying to identify with the youth. I'm envisioning a very "how do you do, fellow kids?" energy using the Hydra boss template but with the extra arm cannons instead spinning data disks like turntables and with a head shape that looks suspiciously like a backwards hat and sunglasses. Daxos: Radical Mind!
Honestly, it seems Bungie will have Destiny go on for another decade in some way shape or form, so they are planning on keeping certain characters/villains from this saga and move them to the next so we are still invested in playing. Xivu as an example read that way to me, they'll probably drag out us killing her for a long while. Eramis? Who knows. Maybe she asks us for help to free Riis of Taken. It's just a theory, but I would love for us to explore alien worlds and ancient ruins in the next saga as an age of reclamation.
Ahamkara are like djinn they grant your wish but poor wording or vagueness on the wish gives them room to manipulate the circumstances of the wish. like in the monkeys paw, you wish got a lot of money later your family member died leaving you wish the sum from insurance.

Around an hour in you were asking if Ahsa is similar in strength to a worm-god; this is actually answered in a lore tab from season of the deep, since it's from before things you have already seen not really a spoiler but I'll leave a tag for posterity;
Potential spoiler for those who have not finished season of the deep:
Ahsa IS a Worm god; or more accurately she is a proto-Worm God, the (as of yet unnamed) species that existed before the worm gods were changed.
Also, the Ammonites were the first civilization that the Hive killed, the first ones to fall after the hive gods were exalted.
You might wanna read specific lore about Saint-14 during this season
Also, in reference to your conception of Sword Logic:
Killing the enemy is never the proof of Sword Logic, it's the intent.
Caiatl was partially named after the Hive Word "Aiat"
And for real? I LOVE Eris and Drifter together. Because Drifter is actually a LITTLE Content with his life. He's not fake smiling anymore. And Eris knows she'll never be alone again. You even hear it in both their voices when they speak to each other.
The wish you're thinking about is Savathun's wish, the curse on the Dreaming City
She convinced Hashladun and the other Hive on the Moon to build the Scarlet Keep and invite a challenge from us, leading to the discovery of Nezerac's Pyramid too.
fun fact: all the way back in forsaken someone datamined a 15TH wish which was pretty much the wish we will use in the ending of next season
but the community was told the 15TH wish was existing in the game but was very cryptic so we all were theorizing about since forsaken till season of the witch lol
AIAT!!!
This is my favorite season in lightfall
Unless it's specified, like during the first mission of the Red War, Destiny time is always 1:1 with real time, the Witness has been inside the Traveler for more than a year by now
I HIGHLY recommend reading the lore page 8 of the Rites of Passage lore book from season of the witch, i think you'd love it
Who's been messing up everything?
It's been Savathun all along
Who's been pulling every evil string?
It's been Savathun all along
She's meticulous. So cunning
That you haven't even noticed
And the pity is Pity, pity, pity, pity
It's too late to fix anything
Now that everything has gone wrong
Thanks to Savathun
Trickster Savathun
It's been Savathun all along!
And I killed Nezarec too
In realness, this season's story was so RIPE in character, it was like a part II to Witch Queen to me. Savathun is hands down the best crafted antagonist/anti-hero(?) and overalll character in the Destiny franchise. She steals all focus when even mentioned, never mind on screen.
Aiat is the hives way of saying "as it should be" or "this is how it is" something like that
When forsaken came out, after the players discovered the wish wall there were 15 triumphs linked to a wish each one, the community would find the patterns in different places and fiund 14, but never the 15th wish. That was the last wish
28:00 Yes, seasons happen in real time. Referenced in several spots throughout the seasons.
The hive were going to be chosen before humanity, but the witness realized this and chose them first
Best Eris & Savathûn dialogue
I see Eris banishing/separating Xivu from her Throne Wold in a similar light as Aang using Energy Bending to remove the ability to bend from Benders.
YESSSS I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
When you catch up you needa watch the launch trailer for TFS to get tripple hyped.
The "Last Wish" was the Guardians' wish, it corrupted the Dreaming City and put it in a 3 week loop.
Riven loosely interpreted our intent of trying to kill her as "wanting to save the dreaming city" as now we can do it again-and-again forever.
Eris Morn, the Hive God of Vengeance
Immaru's VA is David Shaughnessy; also Vigil (Mass Effect).
There's lore where Saint-14 forced Imaru to bring Savathun back to life multiple times so that he could take revenge for Osiris
48:47 when only that which cannot be killed remains, locking horns with its absolute equals. Perfection. Eternity. Endless violence, begat upon the truest immortals. Aiat!
i would love to see your reaction to the final shape launch trailer
It reminded me of my early days when I started to play this game and was captivated by the setting, characters, and gameplay! My guardian journey began in summer 2022.
Can't wait until next week!
If you need any help with getting worlds first on the TFS raid, I can help you and your friends out!
Not sure if the voiceline is in the video but imaru actually explains the final shape and how the hives perception of it vs the witness's version its a good 30 sec clip to watch to understand the witness's motive
The thing with sword logic is that it only ends when there’s one last being alive in all of existence.
38:10 I *implore* you to read the Gloaming Journeyer sparrow lore. It's a really cute moonrat moment.
I don’t know why it wasn’t given a cutscene, but there is a lore tab on what i believe is an exotic sparrow that takes place just after the cutscene where Eris kills savathun. It describes how Imarru resurrects savathun and we threaten her before she leaves,
There is a lore tab about saint kicking savathuns ass after her revival. It's a great read, but i dont remember where it is
Yes, in game time is the same as real world time. 1 week in destiny is 1 week irl. So it has been 10 in game years since we became a guardian.
39:40 - lol you just generated Imbaru.
Daxos: Radical Mind!
just to let you know (if i remember correct) ahsa is a pre-worm god before they get corrupted by the darkness
Everyone else is giving the useful comments, so here's another! Universe days are IRL days. All real-time.
I would love to see you react to the launch trailer for final shape once you are done with season of the wish!!
THEY LEAKED EVERYTHING!!! TERRA PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!
I’ve never clicked on a video so fast 😂
Ikr I've been waiting for this xD
Ahamkara are like djinn they grant your wish but poor wording or vagueness on the wish gives them room to manipulate the circumstances of the wish.
like in the monkeys paw, you wish got a lot of money later your family member died leaving you wish the sum from insurance.
Plz quickly the last reaction season before the final shape 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Uhhh, another good season!!
Genuine question: do you have enough time to go through Season of the Wish? Or is it safe to assume this was recorded way in advance to make time?
You should really read the books of sorrow. It's good writing!
She’ll live…
why did you think savathun was perma dead when immaru was literally right there?
8:07 hmmhmm
nvm u did not read my cmt on the last video
still tho , go check out the lore entry Proportionality of the book Rites of Passage (this season)
Its a Jersey accent hehe.
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas finallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
