That’s one of the sirens you’re hearing in the vid- they use asc: c-125 cyclone sirens and OM-120 sirens near the refinery for fire emergencies as well as shelter in place warnings for air quality danger due to emergencies at the refinery. Good ear on catching the sirens in fire alert mode- which is a longer version of attack mode if I’m not mistaken or longer version of wail.
if it was a p-50 there would be points where you can't hear it as well due to the rotation especially if it's a few miles away. but the cyclone and the OM-120 do sound great together. i hear a 3rd siren in the beginning, could be wrong though
I'm sure the presence of the refinery in the area was the primary reason why those sirens were installed in the first place, but they probably sound for other emergencies as well...
The sirens were going off for residents to shelter in place in their homes due to hazardous smoke in the environment that was released as well as an evacuation alarm for the employees of the refinery to leave the property because of a fire emergency. 👍🏿
ACA Cyclone, not a P-50 nor Banshee, but it uses the same "Guts" just the Cyclone and Banshee dont rotate. P-50 does, but the motor and chopper set up is the exact same.
LA Does have sirens too..but the LA sirens were used for ....Take a guess, the USA was involved in WW2. Now, most of these sirens are abandoned, captured or replaced with new sirens for new purposes.

@@theray2009 You are right, but there were some active 117's at the time of the fire, according to a speech the Mayor made, in 2022, those 117's are inactive. There were some active Model 2's, but they went inactive the same day of the fire. Though, there were like 2 Model 2T-120's. I think 1 was going off, but in 2011, 1 of them went inactive, I think it was the one in the nearby mountains. I think the active one is also in the nearby mountains, but like 3 miles away from the inactive 2T-120.
Good sound!. Wish there was more!
I live by Three Mile Island and there was a cyclone at a fire company that cycled 4 times for fire calls exactly like this !

more likely they were installed for tsunami and other dangerous situations.
Tornadoes rarely ever occur in California, but they’d probably be used for that too.
generally yes they do have that

Actually I heard its an ASC OM120 ( an ACA Banshee , that has a battery backup capable motor )
ohh my god thats awesome!! i saw a video like this awhile back
Every time these sirens sound, the price of gas goes up another twenty cents on the west coast.
Ones an Asc/ACA cyclone ( the lower tone one ) and the other one could be a model 2
Somebody NEEDS to record one of the sirens here up close at like 500 feet away or less (where you can see it)
