On this day 41 years ago that's 14975 one days at a time, I was sitting by myself drinking a warm beer watching the sun rise, and a voice came over me, that I needed to get help and stop the insanity. God is listening, and he just wants you to listen too.....
Man, talk about coincidence, I just celebrated 41yrs of sobriety last month, March 20th. Trusting my higher power and taking it one day at a time has worked for me for every single day of that 41yrs. Congratulations on your sobriety. Godspeed and God bless.
I been there. Alcohol only was my addiction and that was enough. I was drunk everyday for 3 yrs. I believed in Jesus and gave my life to him when I was about 18-19???? Short lived, but true. Many times I would go to bed wherever I was living and I would crawl into bed and remember praying to God, I need help. I am killing myself physically. mentally, financially I need help. 13th of November 1985 I woke up and felt unbelievably different and started going to church and couple years later listening to the preacher in our little church and it finally hit me that God had faithfully answered my prayers. I just celebrated 38 yrs of sobriety and God gets all the glory. I couldn't have done it cold turkey like that by myself. Thank you Jesus.
Blessings to you. I pray for my son to find and follow Jesus everyday. He almost died on his birthday last year from hemorrhaging due to alcoholism. Alcohol is his only addiction also. I love your testimony.
"Wine into Water" is one of the most powerful, and socially important, country songs ever written. A lot of people have walked down the same road T. Graham did and needed the song.
My story, like so many others, is the same as this. I will be performing this song at a church event in a couple weeks. Its one of my favorites. God bless you TGB!
A man after my own heart. I used to always be waiting in the parking lot every morning for the owner to open the liquor store. The same thing as ole T said, I would better just sitting in my truck seeing a bottle of vodka through the window. I'm riding again but fear is still in my heart everyday. But I start humming his song. The first miracle Jesus performed but read the scripture he really didn't won't to turn that water into wine. Powerful on all levels...
Praise God I’m so glad he got right with God and God took away his drinking desires and not just sad that he’s sharing this song to inspire and help others
T is exactly right because I went through the same thing.I thought I was really putting on a show and all I was doing was showing the world what a__ __ I was.I asked God for help and I haven't touched any kind of anything in over 20 years.Thank you God for hearing my prayer.Thank you to for the song T and God be with you always.
I saw my dad go through that. For the first 22 years of my life I don’t remember him being sober. When I was pregnant with my first son he put the bottle down and he put the cigarettes down. He said he didn’t want his grandkids to remember him as a drunk. We lost him in October 1986. I am now 79 years old and I can thank my dad for one thing. I have never had a drinking problem and my 3 brothers are the same way. I won’t be controlled by anything or anyone so help me God!🙏🏻🙏🏻
Tony, I don't know if you will see this but I want you to know that Wine into Water has been a blessing to many, including me. I know you were a Cordele boy and I hope you never forget that. Once I was lost and now I am found.
I love this song! I am so happy you got clean! When I would see you on families country reunion, I knew you were messed up! Then you told whispering Bill about being so far down in the ditch, and Sheila helped you. Along with the good Lord! Thank you for your inspiration T.G Brown! You are proof that there is always hope! And that God is real!!❤❤❤
My husband died using fentanyl and drinking, so I decided on the day my husband died that I was going to stop drinking, and I haven't had another drop in the last 7 months.
It's been a few months since I wrote that and the same thing holds true, and now it's been almost 10 months. It will be 10 months on the 6th of October.
When you are in this condition and find yourself at a so-called party with so-called friends, ask yourself this question; if I get up and walk out of here right now, how many of these people will be a friend tomorrow?
He was dating my sister's best friend when she was 18. She go pregnant. Her family didn't believe in abortion and T said he didn't want anything to do with a baby. So they sent her to a convent where she had and gave up the baby. She was never the same. She moved away, had Mono, doctors told her she had to stop working, but she wouldn't. She became really sick and passed away at 23. My sister told me she really died of a broken heart.
Wine into water is one of the best songs ever in my opinion

T IT SOUNDED,LIKE THE DEVIL 😈 HAD,,HIS GRIPS ON YOU,,But YOU KICKED THE DEVILS ASS,,NOW GOD HAS HIS HAND ON YOU 🙏🙏🙏
Once you quit it easy to talk about it, but reaching the point of total submission to alcohol is the very hard

So very sorry for her, and her Family. How sad.!!!
The joint without the vodka is not too bad
You must mean figuratively, because a song can't rush into a burning building, and save three kids. You mean figuratively.
Fretkllr lives
Caleb
That is a great song!
