the weather is rather fresh this time of year but still ok for a quick blast. honestly, can't recommend firebike training enough! such a shame you can't attend one.

@nicholasjarrold8649 hi, thank you for the encouragement. My mate is constantly terrified by his KTM 1190 and to be fair he's given me a couple of squeaky bum moments when pulling up next to me, so I know what you mean with refraining from another one. On the Africa Twin, the paintwork on the tank seems to be a bit soft, scratches a bit easily, and I did find a couple of chips in the powder coating on the front part of the frame but nothing a bit of "kurust" can't fix. The aluminium pan will oxidise as expected if not protected but I've ridden this year round and not seen anything you wouldn't see from any other manufacturer. If I'm fully honest, they all have their problems, it's about how you bond with it more than the anything else. For me this topped everything else, test ridden the 1290, 1250gs, the multistrada, but the twin just made sense. I hope this helps, good luck with your new purchase, many dry miles.
Looks brisk out there. I think that advanced riding courses are such a great idea. I would do one in a heartbeat if something similar existed here.
