MyImList every single English translation supplies words where only two words suffice for one Greek / Hebrew word, or where syntactically a word is implied by the original grammar but must be overtly presented in our language. Every last translation does this. Period. The difference is, the Authorized Version lets you know when an English word, essential to the meaning, is supplied. They do this by _italics._ Far from being a deficiency, it's a strength over the KJV over most the others. The NASB, by the way, does this as well - albeit a bit less consistently.
      Good grief.

No. Modern versions do not remove verses or passages from the Bible. The KJV uses an inferior text that added texts to the Bible - 1 John 5:7, Acts 8:37, Mark 16:9-20, etc. etc. etc.

One of thee best arguments I've ever heard for "King James Only" camp, is that there is ZERO doctrinal, or theological issues with the King James Bible... Sure, you can make arguments about Greek and Aramaic and this word or that word. But if a Sunday Bible Camp school teacher or a Pastor of a large congregation was going to preach and teach exclusively out of the King James Bible, there would be nothing within that Bible that would lead a New, Intermediate or Seasoned person in the wrong direction or to embrace a doctrine that is wrong or non-existant. I guess another way of saying it: There's nothing WRONG with the King James Bible... It's very easy to find the doctrinal errors and theological problems with all the other translations. And the ALL do the same thing: 1) Take away from the Word of God (omitting key scriptures) 2) Change the word of God (dilute it, water it down) and 3) Attack the Deity of Jesus Christ. The reason the Ol' King James language is better is because Heaven in a Kingdom and Jesus Christ is the King of kings and the King James English is the HIGHEST, most glorious, most powerful, most beautiful, most poetic, most majestic version of the English language as it should be for the Most High God.
Preaching, teaching and meditating on the King James Bible only will never harm you or lead you astray. Amen.

One of the reasons people hate the KJB is that they hate the word of God and have a different Jesus. They love the lie.
      John 3:3
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Many hate the word of God. Why do you seem to talk against God's word the KJB?
You might say you have to go back to the original languages. There never was a compiled bible in Greek and Hebrew and Aramaic that everyone could read. God is able to preserve his word and know the English language would dominate the planet. He prepared it. Any argument against the KJB defeats your other corrupt versions. But, there is no doctrine that is wrong in the King James Bible. Consider that maybe you don't know Christ and must be born again, and your religion is keeping you from Christ.

KJV Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
NIV "How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!"
NIV changes satans' name to "morning star". Yet Jesus is called "morning star" elsewhere in the Bible:
NIV 2 Peter 1:19 "And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the *morning star* rises in your hearts."
NIV Revelation 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you [1] this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright *Morning Star*."
The NIV calls Jesus and Satan the same name. Beware those who try to convince you it doesn't matter what Bible you read and lead you away from the most accurate PRESERVED copy of GOd's Word in English (with Greek / Hebrew easily accessible to see what G/H words were used to translate into any English words in the KJV)

Did you know that the head of the NIV translation project is a Lesbian? Do you trust her to have her team to accurately translate the holy scriptures? I sure don't. Too bad the world cannot see that the manuscripts and NIV, ESV and others don't even all agree with one another. However, the manuscripts the KJV comes from ALL agree with one another. A copy found in Africa will agree with one found in the middle east, etc. The only difference in them are spellings of proper names and words, etc. ONLY the KJV is translated from the most reliable manuscripts of the Hebrew and Greek. All other versions come from the Vaticanus family and are stored in the basement of the Vatican, do you trust the Catholics who have their own bible and promote idolatry to have the most reliable ones? I think not. All these modern versions water down the scriptures to be more "human" friendly and thus are labeled New Age Versions. I agree with you all the way Forum Light.

@@martinbaker7032 God promised to preserve every Word of His Word. Yet the greek texts have been corrupted, and at this point only the KJV is based upon the textus receptus, the preserved Word of God, while the rest are based on corrupted Greek texts. It's easy to spot: you simply compare the English verses and notice how all the other Bibles pervert what is clearly God's Word. Here's but a sample of how the NLT pervert's the deity of Christ, salvation through Christ, the Godhead and more. If you believe God preserved His Word, then you'll want the texts He preserved in their original languages, that were translated into the KJV. Even the NKJV is translated from the perverted texts, while they pretend it's just a "new" KJV. Total deception.
1st John 5:7 is a vital Scripture that EVERY Christian should know. This Scripture clearly proclaims that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost are ONE. But, the NLT says otherwise...
KJB - "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
NLT - "So we have these three witnesses."
The NLT Bible-corrupters even removed the Godhead from Romans 1:20...
KJB - "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"
NLT - "From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.
Godhead removed from the NLT. Here's Acts 17:29 compared...
KJB - "Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device."
NLT - "And since this is true, we shouldn't think of God as an idol designed by craftsmen from gold or silver or stone."
Look what they've done to Colossians 2:9...
KJB - "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
NLT - "For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body."
      1 John 3:1
KJB - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16
NLT - "For God so loved the world that he gave he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." -John 3:16
      1st Timothy 3:16
KJB - "...God was manifest in the flesh..."
NLT - "...Christ appeared in the flesh..."
      Philippians 2:5,6
KJB - "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God."
NLT - "Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God."
      Colossians 1:16...
KJB - "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth..."
NLT - "Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth."

Luke 4:8 - "get thee behind me Satan" is omitted
Luke 17:36 - entire verse omitted
Luke 23:17 - entire verse omitted
John 1:10 - says God created everything "through" Jesus instead of "by" Jesus as the KJB teaches
John 1:41 - The NLT leaves out the phrase, "Which is by interpretation, a stone." Hence, the critical distinction between Peter as "the stone" (Petros), and Jesus as "The Rock" (Petra) is obscured. This was no doubt deliberate to pleases Catholics who falsely teach that Peter is the rock upon which the church is built. The Bible states in no uncertain terms, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ" (1st Corinthians 3:11).
John 3:16 - the all important word "begotten" is omitted, thus denying the deity of Christ
John 3:13 - "which is in heaven" is omitted John 5:4 - entire verse omitted
John 7:53 - 8:11 -- entire passage is questioned in a note which says, "The most ancient Greek manuscripts do not include John 7:53 - 8:11"
Acts 8:37 - entire verse omitted
Acts 12:4 - changes "Easter" to the incorrect "Passover" (See Numbers 28:16,17 and Acts 12:2 in the KJB)
Acts 17:29 - completely removes the "Godhead"
Acts 28:29 - entire verse omitted

Hebrews 1:3 - the all-important words "by himself" are omitted
1 Peter 4:1 - "for us" is omitted
1 Peter 4:14 - half of the verse is omitted

1 John 5:7 - half of the verse is omitted, thus denying the Godhead
1 John 5:13 - half of the verse is omitted
Revelation 1:11 - first half of the verse is omitted
Revelation 5:14 - "him that liveth forever and ever" is omitted
One has only to compare the English verses to see clearly how the NLT and other English Bibles have perverted God's Word. Those who hate the KJV actually hate the fact that God promised to preserve His Word, which is the real issue, and they can never refute the above shown FACTS that the NLT clearly attacks the deity of Christ, the godhead, the trinity and more.
So your response to this post is "Verses cannot be missing if they were not part of inspired scripture to begin with."*
So it's never part of Scripture to begin with that we need to believe ON CHRIST to be saved? That Jesus Christ is God? Any one of us who claims it's not believing on Christ that saves, that this is not part of God's truth, will be judged by our own words when we faced God, our own words proving we weren't believing on Christ alone to be saved, but instead relying on our own version of 'righteousness' before God, rejecting His word.
*"For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."*
      Romans 10

    KJV Acts 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would RAISE UP CHRIST to sit on his throne;
    RSV: ...that of the fruit of his loins he would set one upon his throne;
ESV: ...that he would set one of his descendants on his throne,
NASB: ...to seat one of his descendants on his throne,
HCSB: ...to seat one of his descendants on his throne.
NIV: ... that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

"Why would you read these perverted English versions that denies the resurrection itself!'" Because they don't believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, it's a non issue with them. At best it is only head knowledge that they mistake for saving faith. The importance of these things are only discernable by real Christians. That's why the apostates can't see any problem, and foolishly defend their perversions.
A newborn Christian might defend these perversions for a short period of time until the Spirit Of God shows them otherwise, then they'll reject them and hold fast to the pure words of the KJV, God's Word. They won't cling to them indefinitely like the three previous gainsayers, whose mouths were stopped. "For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped..."
Many who claim to be Christians only emphasize the death alone of Christ Jesus. Their faith is vain according to 1 Cor. 15. "And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain." 1 Cor. 15.14
Without the bodily resurrection from the dead, there is no gospel/salvation.
Compare John 3.16 in the KJV to the NIV. The NIV leaves out the word begotten. The word begotten is a reference to the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. See Acts 13.33. The NIV subtly teaches a Gnostic "gospel." Their Jesus is not God manifest in the flesh and he never rose from the dead.
Their weak defense for their rendition is they claim they are making a stronger argument for Jesus being the only Son of God over the KJV. That's another lie. The KJV makes it clear that Jesus is the only Son of God in John 3.16.
This is the most powerful gospel verse in the Bible, that's why Satan's scholars have perverted it, as well as many, many, others.

Just a thought, What makes people think Satan would not seek to corrupt the word of God?. When Jesus was on earth the devil went right at him after he was baptized(Jesus is the word). What did he try to do? He came quoting bible verses - which were of course changed just a little but Jesus saw through these tricks. If Jesus was like to-days preachers he would have probably said " these are just minor changes, they don't really change much of the message of God!,' am glad it was to Jesus Satan went to, and not a man otherwise it would have been a total mess!. Today we have a modern mess with all these modern versions trying to outdo each other.(and probably make a lot of money in the process!)The first mistake was accepting the RSV, It has been downhill ever since and now every new translation seems worse than the previous, whole words and phrase are left out and people think its OK! - what would the scribes who preserved the old testament scriptures say about these changes?. I think we can only expect things to get worse as the church(and the translators) become even more world friendly - funny(actually its weird!)how Christians are always seeking to be like the world around them. It is always the church that stoops low - the world is very uncompromising. It is the one that is continuously making demands that the church should be accommodating/tolerant(but is not tolerant itself!)....Where will it end? - In the hands of the Antichrist! - like the satanists have been saying for years. It seems like it is the Christians who want to hide their heads in the sand......- ' they are only minor changes',...' they don't affect anything much'.......someone is very happy! - and its not Jesus.....Guess who?

Those may not be typos. I have seen similar "typos" in my KJV c1895, but they may not be typos! Keep in mind the 1611 was translated right about the time when the English language was being "cured" or "standardized." The contraction for "let us" as "let's" may not have existed at that point in time. It might have been their custom at the time to write "letus." I believe there are books on how the language evolved. And I've seen the variation in capitalization of Christ and Spirit as well. There may be a reason for it. For example, christ lower case (or lowercase) could be making reference to a noun rather than the diety Christ... have faith that the KJV is flawless. Ask the Holy Ghost to show you what or why something says what it says. Don't assume. So blessed are you to be so young and having the KJV in your life!

I am not a KJV only person but you really you could have presented the historical development of the Bible, the difference between word for word translations and dynamic equivalence. You should also do a historical presentation of the difference i the original manuscripts that are used for Bibles. The KJV is fine, but it is a translation too. The English language has changed tremendously sine the KJV was produced., and it was not the first Bible written. The word authorized doesn’t mean anything that was an advertised ploy of the printer, and the KJV had several changes till the 1700’s.

And THAT is the real difference between the KJV and anti-KJV crowd, which again should get the attention of those who are truly born again by the Spirit of God.
To any born again believer in God, it should be a given that they'd like to have, as accurately as possible, exactly what God had written in the Scriptures, word for word. They would rather not have instead a paraphrased copy by someone letting you know instead in their own words what God said, or even corrupted versions where things were deceptively changed, added or deleted.
Well God did promise to preserve His Word, word for word, and many do not seem to realize it.
Matthew 5.18 *_"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."_*
A jot or tittle is the smallest part of one letter in the Hebrew alphabet, which distinguishes it from other letters.
Psalms 12.6-7 *_"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."_*
God right there promised to preserve His Words. That means every one of them.
Matthew 4.4 *_"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."_*
Every word. Not every paraphrased version of what someone says that God said.
God even warns about adding to or taking away from God's Word, so any claim there are new revelations that came after the NT is also deception and goes against God's Word.
*_"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."_*
      Revelation 22.18-19
*_"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."_*
      Deuteronomy 4.2
*_"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."_*
      Proverbs 30.5-6
*_"What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it."_*
      Deuteronomy 12.32
*_"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."_*
      2 Peter 1.20-21
*_"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."_*
      Galatians 1.6-9
*_"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."_*
      Matthew 24:24
So in the Greek and Hebrew, we have faith that God has preserved His Word, word for word and we should want such a copy in our own language if at all possible.
Perversions were already being attempted to be inserted even back in the days of the apostles, and there are letters that warn about it. So there have long been perverted Greek and Hebrew texts, but they've been marked and avoided then as well, hence hardly used.
In the past century, more and more English "bibles" have been showing up, creating great confusion (God is not the author of confusion). So concerning all these English "bibles", what you'll notice is most "scholars" or people who have an opinion on the matter will instead act like any English Bible you pick is fine - this alone shows
      - such a person does not think God preserved His Word
      - such a person does not want God's Word, word for word
Scholar or not, this makes their opinions worthless as they've already shown themselves to be unbiblical.
Since in the past hundred years or so hundreds of English bibles have come onto the scene, it's clear deception is the spiritual motive whether people realize it or not. They often say different things, which makes it look like God lied and did not preserve His Word.
When you compare English Bibles, it's clear which one is closest in English to His preserved Word we have in Greek/Hebrew and so on: the King James Bible. It's not about being "King James only" it's about *"God's preserved Word only".* Those who think any Bible is fine also do not believe God can or did preserve His Word, which is the real difference and why people hence attack KJV.
The name "King James Bible" doesn't mean King James wrote it. But God did promise to preserve His Word and it's trivial for Him to do so, in the original languages. Most English bibles are "translated" from already corrupted texts - one need only compare English verses to see which ones are corrupted, and the KJV is the only one left standing. We should want God's preserved Word.
Consider this as one of thousands of proofs:
      Jn 6:47
KJV "He that believeth on me hath everlasting life."
NIV "He who believes has everlasting life."
NASB "He who believes has eternal life."
NWT "He that believes has everlasting life."
NLT "anyone who believes has eternal life."
ESV "whoever believes has eternal life."
So which one do you think is God's preserved Word? A Bible that says that a person believing on Christ has everlasting life, or a person believing (on who knows what) has everlasting life? Do you really think God's Word would have "on me" missing? Of course not.
And speaking of how critical God's Word is, even God points out we need to live by EVERY WORD of God. But of course the corrupted Greek/Hebrew texts will remove things like this as well, since they are in effect an attack on God and His Word.
      Lk 4:4
KJV "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."
NIV "Man does not live on bread alone."
NASB "Man shall not live on bread alone."
NWT "Man must not live by bread alone."
ESV ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.’”
So I humbly ask Christians to consider looking only at God's preserved Word. This in turn would mean in English the best by far for many centuries: King James Bible.

@@martinbaker7032 1st John 5:7 is a vital Scripture that EVERY Christian should know.

NLT - "And since this is true, we shouldn't think of God as an idol designed by craftsmen from gold or silver or stone."

The "God's a liar and did not preserve His Word" cults need to allow false bibles so their false religions can be promoted.

Yes, only the AV1611 King James Bible is inspired by the Holy Ghost. Even the 1769 KJV by Benjamin Blayney is corrupted. Watch the documentary “A Lamp In The Dark: The Untold Story of the Bible” by Chris Pinto on RUclips for free.
The translation commanded by King James were such a immense task done by over 60 translators of the Greek Text of Antioch, that they were divided in groups. All of them were so afraid of making a mistake! They believed the LORD and feared Him tremendously.
In Revelation 10:10, the little book is the AV1611 KJ. Why are there so many people against It and so few that hold It dearly unto them as the water and bread of their lives?
Well, the LORD said that many shall be called, but few chosen.

Why they changed that in the new age books I do not know..that and a million other things.. Use numerous translations. I like the KJV, NIV, and ESV. Keep in mind that all Bibles are written in the cultural vernacular (language) of their day which influences speech/writing patterns. I don't think Jesus minced words and meant what he said. Take Matthew 19:23-26. Now we don't know exactly what Jesus said in ancient Aramaic. But do we think he was referring to a "rich person" (as in the teaching applies to all humankind male and female), or only "Man" as translated in the KJV? I don't really know which translation is correct. However, the Commandment "Thou shalt not murder" is the correct translation (ESV), and coincides with Hebrew. But I still wouldn't throw out the KJV for that.

To not care, but instead settle on a paraphrased version, where they all say different things "so pick whatever you like best", that came from already perverted texts is a bad sign that such a person may not really have the indwelling Holy Spirit. It's also how false religions are born - they make their own false Bible, writing verses that make it sound like their own doctrines are truth, and call that God's Word.

The Pharisees and Sadducees preached righteousness from tradition and from the law, which is not in the word of God. They ignored the word of God.
      Matthew 7
      King James Version
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
When you judge outside of the word of God. You will be judged outside the word of God. The word of God is Jesus, you might consider that you have the modern day Jesus and not the Jesus in the Bible. Those that preach another Gospel are accursed. I care enough to say you need to repent and believe on the Jesus of the Bible. Not the fake Jesus that allows fornicators (people shacking up) into church, or drunkards (people partying on Saturday and coming to church Sunday). No, keeping the law doesn't save, but if you are saved, you won't live the same. People want a Jesus that loves them in their sin and doesn't say to the woman caught in adultery "go now and sin no more."
The Jesus you seem to espouse is the one the Pharisees did, they didn't want to stone the man caught in adultery, only the woman. They needed to have it pointed out that they had sin.

My question is simple do you believe in the bible or do you believe in GOD? If you believe in man writing the bible then you chose wrong all liditure came from the Roman catholic church all religious literature came from the Roman catholic church I guess the all mighty GOD can't speak to anyone else but the Roman catholic church.

Your thought process is not biblical. The bible is supposed to be the word of our heavenly father. You have to believe it in order to believe in him. That is the way you learn about him. I was using the ESV until I saw a video that showed that scriptures (important scriptures) were taken out. I am not dismissing it. I just need to understand why because we are not supposed to add or take away.

this gentleman talked about this person, that person, but I didn't hear much comparing of KJV and ESV with the Greek scriiptures.
he talked about ppl that where experience in Greek, but they where lost. best to give examples to prove yourself.
I have been looking into it. The KJV has a lot of added and missing scriptures. The KJV also uses words that make some of the context of scripture wrong.
I personally prefer bibles from the peshitta txt.

That's because their norm is not the original Hebrew and Greek scriptures but the KJV. Their ignorance is hard to fathom.

Nice opinion. You don't give any scriptures. Like Acts 8:37 in the ESV. ESV goes in Acts 8:36 about can he be baptized to verse 38 baptizing him.
      Acts 8:37
      King James Version
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Faith in Christ is needed in the King James Bible.
Check Isaiah 14:12 Lucifer is identified in the King James as the name of Satan before the fall.
In the ESV uses Day Star and steals a name of Jesus from 2 Peter 1:19. Surprise, surprise a version that steals from the glory of Christ.
No, the ESV has about 50,000 missing words as compared the the KJV. ESV has many missing verses and changes. ESV is not the pure word of God.

NKJV instills doubt in the scriptures via footnotes and omits key words entirely too often for me to be comfortable recommending it over a KJV. Try the KJV 2016

Actually, Jesus was crucified, arose and ascended into heaven in 1611 AD. He had to coordinate with the publication of the KJV because no one could not do Christianity without it. There could not have been Christians for 1 and 1/2 millennia with no KJV. Get real. Matter of fact, if they allow other versions in heaven, I'm walking out.

Same disgruntled "don't tell me anything" MAGA crowd with "don't take my precious KJV away!" Learn Hebrew and Greek and get out of your Pharisaical time warp. Be thankful if even your grandchildren consider going to church to hear the Gospel. Your descendents may even turn out MIXED RACE.Oh, my!
