- In this QuickBooks training tutorial, you will learn how to import web connect files. The file we use is called a qbo file. You download the qbo file from logging in to your bank online. The result is the same as connecting with bank feeds. The advantage of using qbo files is that you can put back on the review list any transaction that you have deleted. Hello, my QuickBooks friends using QuickBooks desktop and importing or downloading your transactions!!
Downloading and importing web connect files and QBO files into QuickBooks Desktop is better than connecting directly to the bank. You can re-download and re-import as many times as you want. Once the transactions are on the review list, you can approve them and record them just the same as if they were downloaded from connecting to the bank.

Excellent video! I am buying an 2018 version of Quickbooks Desktop Pro. Can I still import banking activity or do I need to upgrade to a Quickbooks subscription version to be able to utilize this feature. I was informed that May 2023 was the cut off date for banking activity imports from Desktop versions without a subscription. Can you please confirm. Thank you!

You really must NOT purchase a 2018 version, you will not have support and you will have problems. I don't know who is selling you that or how, but I would not trust that.
There is no avoiding purchasing the latest desktop subscription; that's how the desktop software is now.
I do think that any version of the desktop can impoort in the way thos video shows. The desktop version really doesn't change much and the videos I have for them are timeless.

@@worldwidequickbooks thanks mark, I currently have quickbooks pro 2006. Can I import bank and credit card activity with this software version?
Hi can you tell me how to change a QFX file to a QBO file as my bank only allows download as a QFX and QB 2023 MAC desktop doesn't open these?
You could also search on Google or in the quickbooks bookstore that you can find online for any app that converts those files

But if I have deleted the transaction from bank register and I again want that transaction in Review Pane, how can I do that? It gives an error "There are no new transaction available"
You can reimport the same Web connect file into the review list after it's already been recorded but you have to be careful about recording duplicate transactions

@@worldwidequickbooks Thanks for the reply, so can I say after above reply that one can not upload .QBO file with same transaction if the same transaction are once recorded, it will not make any effect whether that transaction is deleted or not.
