Pat Sajak is NOT a sweet person. Or, at least, he was not 20 years ago when I had the pleasure of interacting with him. I have personally been berated by him, in public, for asking him to pay for his coffee at a Cinnabon I used to run, and I witnessed him blow up at an employee at a bookstore once because the store didn't have the book he wanted. Based on stories I've heard (he used to frequent my area as his parents lived nearby) these were not isolated incidents.

We always see him perform in Milwaukee over the Holidays because his wife is from Wisconsin.
If they really wanted pat and Vanna to root for the players to win, their pay should be the same as the players. If the players won 500, they both win 500 too. Imagine how excited they would get if the players won 50 grand then!
It would have been nice if Vanna had been given some pay raises since she made 1/5 of Pat's salary for like 18 years.

The most I've ever made in my life I had to be on call and do really complicated computer stuff, and it wasn't anywhere close to that.

Gaffigan's latest tour "Barely Alive" is really bad...it was like a band you like is forced by the label to make a new album. It just wasn't fresh or funny. I have been a fan for years and I was so disappointed when I saw him couple weeks ago. I say this so maybe you can lower your expectations, unlike me who was over-hyped and very let down. Not the most joyful comment I've ever posted, but hey.....just trying to be helpful.
IMO it's a boring game. And what's with the clapping while the wheel turns? Won't it turn otherwise? Do they throw you off on the commercial break if you don't clap?

Jim is right about having kids. They don't leave. I had to get a restraining order against my son to get him out of my house. He was 45 years old. I chose the restraining order over an eviction because it was quicker and free. My son finally moved out but not before he threatened me with a gun.

Jim really can't banter, can he. He has his act and nothing seems to interrupt it, though Stephen makes some lovely opportunities for Jim to riff on what he said. He's kind of terrible that way, as a guest, just steam rollering ahead with his act. You used to see this a lot on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, but when that happened, you could tell Carson was just letting the guest rip. I guess Stephen is doing the same thing, though. I guess I just get tired of Jim doing this all.the.time.

@@sugarcookiecube There's a good way to get your act out when in an interview, but JG's is so driven, he doesn't even acknowledge anything Stephen says, he just storms through it like he was alone on stage. There are variations of this on a scale, but his is in the extreme. It's not supposed to be so obvious, otherwise they should just toss him out on stage alone and put a spot on him.
Hes one of those comedians that is almost good enough, but just isnt quick witted enough to make it. Hes constantly bouncing around in the ratings where he slips and slips until one of his friends gives him a temporary boost.
