Anti-aging vs aging gracefully - Can we have both?

So, do we choose anti-aging or should we start aging gracefully? Are they opposites, or can we have both? I love trying all sorts of skincare and antiaging products but I also love exploring the mindset needed for healthy and happy aging. I think we can love both things and enjoy our aging. The real problem: the anti-aging industry that sells us an impossible dream. It doesn't mean we can't enjoy having our skin, hair and bodies looking as youthful as possible, but we need to be aware that aging isn't avoidable.... so what's the key takeaway? We can age happily when we strive to be our own personal best, at our current age.

We're either aging, or we're dead. Those are the options. Keeping my marionette lines in perspective.
I keep working on improving my looks (because I enjoy it), first through care, then through styling, and then taking a deep breath and try to let go of seeing signs of aging as flaws. It'll be great when that last bit kicks in.

This is so true. In the last few decades there is a new breed of "age". We used to have the young, middle aged, and then old. Now there is a hybrid. The older invasively making their features young. But all of those invasive treatments are synonymous with old, so no one is fooling anyone. I don't care how tight your skin is, how lifted your eyes are, there is an expression that will always show age. And the youthful clothes don't make anyone any younger either. In my opinion, it almost gives off a caricature appearance.

Bro I wanna age like my mom! She’s “old” yeah, but she’s still so beautiful! I wanna look as great as her when I get older! I hate that people try to force individuals to “look younger” (as in MUCH younger..) that whole trend just tries to mix maturity with youth and it..well it can go down a lot of rabbit holes 💀
-and I personally would rather look like an adult next to teenagers so there’s no confusion. Let the kids have their youth damn it!
