    what an iconic owner iconic silks.
    best ever, my first taste of live racing was Epsom 1986 June. dancing brave in the Derby, I could've ridden that magical animal to win. what amazing horses I've witnessed over 35 years. I was a big fan of sir Henry's so I'm so glad what he did for considering how sheikh Mohammed treated him.
    love everything about the green white and Pink.
    i Remember the overseas ones too zafonic winning the guineas I was out in a thunderstorm at Newmarket to see this horse. even the likes of forgotten horses like peplum in the oaks for Sir Henry. commander in chief ,Tenby, bullet train placerville midday enable Frankel. rainbow lake warning back in the day dreamteam of horses.

    I've been privileged to work the sales for Juddmonte for the last 2 years, some of the nicest people you'll meet and so hard working and loyal to Juddmonte and it shows! It's always hard work as it's very busy but you're so well looked after and I have long term friends because of it

      Sophie How did you manage to work the sales for Juddmonte if you don’t mind me asking? Would sound like a dream job to me as I’ve always been interested in the bloodstock side of things.

      Owen Johnson I got referred through a old work colleague, did the Mares sale 3 years ago and done the winter sales for them since. It’s handling the horses though so you’ve got to know what you’re doing

    Great to see racing shown without stupid pop music backing track.

    DOESN'T STAMP HIS STOCK?? Who says that, Helen Keller?? He routinely stamps himself everywhere in the stud, either in looks, that amazing final turn of foot and stride, or both!!

    Why do they fiddle with their lead ropes quite so much? Both stallions and handlers?

    Still cant believe they sent Oasis Dream for the mile rather than the sprint at the BC.

      Isn't the sprint run on dirt and maybe that was the reason?
      Also all of Oasis Dream's runs and/or wins had been on Good to Firm bar his final UK run when beaten at odds-on on Good to Soft.. so maybe they though dirt would replicate Good to Soft more than turf would.

    Can someone explain to me, what is meant by an athletic walk?

    • @xSophieX
      @xSophieX 5 лет назад +4

      Some horses will walk along, bumbling along, shuffling just not putting any energy into it, as you see some people do. While you get other horses that really use their body to get get a walk at a good pace, they track up (their back hooves are places where the front ones were while they walk along) so they're pushing with their behind and working well in the walk. A good pace that gets them there fairly quickly, so the opposite of slugging along. Does that make sense?

    Mockridge is a tad aggressively defensive on several occasions.
