Love your videos! I would definitely add a walking foot machine and an electric cutter to your arsenal. I sew with my cording foot on all the time. No need to switch out from a reg foot. Electric cutter is a game changer for welt! Keep up the great videos!

You can skip having to attach all of the bias binding together like that. Just look up continuous bias binding. It can save a bit of time.

@@ucsolutionsgivingmore your videos have helped me so much. I inherited a couch from my grandmother that needed to be recovered But I cannot afford to do it. So I've been binge watching your videos in preparation to attempt it myself. It has a lot of sentimental value to me so I don't want to get rid of it.
I really hope my comment didn't come off as snarky. I absolutely did not intend it that way. But I do sew and continuous bias binding is a technique commonly used in quilting.

Quick question, if your machine doesn’t have the option for a cording/piping foot, will a zipper foot work in a pinch?

Sorry for the delay! Great question, yes, it will work in a pinch. It wouldn't be as tight but with work fine.

I am not fond of doing seat cushions it is mainly the zipper that sound it makes when it goes up and down to me is an irritating sound, weird huh? Big bold fabrics are not bad but the small details are the worst, my old eyes are not what they used to be. But, it is VERY satisfying when it comes out exactly right, and you will get better at it as you go along. Listen to these folks, not your just simple you tuber because these folks are the real thing they do not just make it up as they go along, THEY KNOW what they are doing and their work is astounding. Hope things are better and know we care!!

When your making yards and yards of piping, how do you prevent the cord from twisting? Not sure if you have had that experience but it’s very annoying.

Hi Laurie, sorry for the delay! The best way to stop that is by cutting the cording on the bias, as well as pulling out the kinks before sewing the cording by holding the cording tightly between some scrap fabrics and pulling through.
